...when you fashion out your own conlang that's a bizarre made-up relative to Old English for a book: "Līdum sint þe Mennōrum wið welsc tō passan. Lāt mē þe Līd wēsan, dūrsc þe Dankel tō fūran." xp

xD! wow most of those apply to me.foreign languages are one of my large obsessions.>.>...<.<.currently got 3languages going at once.french(2nd language),russian(3rd language),german(4th language).oh i have a couple to add:
-when you start to randomly type in a foreign language without realizing it, and you can't understand why your friend isn't typing back to you.till you realize your typing to them in a language they don't understand.
-when you can't decide what languages you want to learn and decide than any language you hear you wanna learn
-when you've been looking at russian to long.without memorizing the cyrillic alphabet.and you some how can read and understand what it says without a translation.>.>
-when your doing most languages in self-study because you think your teacher teaches to slow.xD.
-when you mix languages together(i've mixed russian and english and french and english before.xD)
-the joys of saying things in other languages so you A wont be embarassed depending on what it is or B so you wont get into trouble.
-when learning a language comes "natural" to you instantly.
-when your bored you decide to learn another language for kicks.
-you've been dreaming and suddenly everything goes from english to russian and you can actually understand what their saying(fluently) when you've only been studying it for 2weeks.
-when you can understand parts of the conversation in fluent russian from your best friend and her mom.and sometimes make comments in english and they look stunned that you actually understood what they were saying.
xD.i do all of those.so sad..so very sad.xD

...when you go to karaoke for three hours with your friends and sing in Japanese, Korean, German, and Romanian, but not in English, which happens to be your mother-tongue...
Yeah, so that one's really specific, I know, but that happens to me whenever we have karaoke night. whee
The Romanian song, by the way, is Dragostea Din Tea. xd

Proudly_Jewish ...you have conquered the impossible - you can speak Russian perfectly. NOT TRUE! It's possible to speak Russian perfectly, even if it's not your mother tongue.

You know you're a little obsessed with languages when...
1) You spend your school lunchtimes in the library self-teaching instead of being with your friends. 2) You expect everyone to understand you when you curse in Italian 3) You mix your languages together to make some kind of super-hybrid language 4) Your Indonesian teacher asks you a question in said language and you respond in Japanese. (I've done this SO many times...) 5) You apologise to your teacher for the mistake, except you apologise in Japanese 6) You repeat step 5. Again. 7) You love watching the foreign news in an effort to understand the language cool Your dream job involves never speaking English again

My bad-I meant that because English is my native tongue, I'd prefer not to speak it, because I like other languages better. I don't really like the sound of English.
