"I know you love to learn, so I thought maybe I could give you an oppertunity to, plus it would be good practice for me. If you have an animal you want to learn more about, I will shift into it and you can share my mind, learning that way about the animal from its point of view. Of course, you wouldn't have to share my mind, you could study it in a more traditional manner."

Callista smiled. "I'll show you." She concentrated on holding a picture of a wolf in her mind and began to shift. Her body twisted and popped until she was a wolf. Her coat was glossy and thick, her teeth sharp and white. She felt free. See? There are so many new scents and feelings. She lopped off for a short run, stopping and howling to the moon before comming back to Valzar. She sat down in front of him and wagged her tail, tilting her head at him.

The wolf shook its head. Not as long as I am not injured. She stepped closer to him and licked him on the nose.

It tickles a little. It feels strange the first few times you do it. You can merge with me and find out. I'll shift back into a pony so you can feel the reverse one, if you want?

Callista was confused. What do you mean? Being the wolf is amazing. It's free and fun. I am still suseptable to the instincts of the wolf, but I'm getting pretty good at toning them down when I don't need to use them.
