I believe that in all, there are four stage plays, one of which is by Webber. The other three are more accurate in accordance with the book. I was talking about the stage play, also, the movie that was released in 2004 is based on the play.

The story was completely mutilated. Sure, the music is great but they almost completely changed the story.

Actually, in all honesty, what little parts of the movie I DID see led me to believe that the movie minced even the ALW version! ^_^ I'd like to see some based more closely on the book, actually perhaps I should re-read the book, I haven't done so in years! The original story is rather muddled for me....

Yeah, so I ended up with a series of horrible coincidences governing my entire week. I also broke my debit card. In half. u_u

The following is why I will be mostly gone:

I got the melodic percussion seat in the CATS pit band.

I am now enrolled in three correspondence courses (calculus, computer sciences, and chemistry). This is to secure a university seat, as, while I am accepted, it is on the condition that I complete these courses, as two are required credits. I have been plagued by scheduling issues for the past year, and am unable to take calculus and chemistry normally at this point. So, starting like... now, I am taking on a seven-course load this semester, as opposed to the normal five.

I am entering a competition for young composers. I am arranging an original piece ("Imperial Weight") for concert band. While transposing by harmonic interval may not be hard, it is incredibly time consuming.

So, yeah.

Weeeeeeeelllll, I'm pretty much done my h/w and I've got nothing to do on a Lazy Sunday Afternoon (props to who gets THAT reference!)

Dammit, I was supposed to have a band practice today. Not the nowhere band that I play in with the guys from school, but a REALLY talented bunch of gents. I've not heard one of teh guys play though. Ironically, he's the one I know best! ^_^' Yeah, apparently he plays bass..... Unfortunetly it's in the shop. Which is almost in the next province. (his uncle does guitars) This guy's dad shut us down though. He said we could have a band practice..... if he couldn't hear us sweatdrop
We've never gotten the whole group together for a practice, so how does he know if we're bad or not? LOL Hell, even WE don't know yet!

Meh, mebbe I'll get something going with the other two. God dammit though, my usual guitar guy is showing nothing but incompetiance as of late. I'd quit but there'd be no point! Why quit when there is no band? He keeps saying he's gonna pick up our other guitarist, but he never does. We DID have a singer again, but then he got in a fight with her too and she left. Actually it was the same singer agian. Coincidently she was the original, and was gonna take another go. Funny thing is, now this guys new g/f might be singing. This is the girl who was trying to date ME a while back with negative results. Is it just me or is there a REALLY annoying pattern here? WTF? If the b*****d would just give me a freakin' headset I could drum and sing at the same time! Hell, I do back-up while I drum now anyway! This is freakin' stupid. I oughtta smack him in the head and tell the jackass to stop being so pompous.....

It's really frustrating that at the same time he talks about wanting to 'go big' he seems to do ALL IN HIS POWER to hinder our advancement. He won't take advice. Won't take a band member he doesn't like. Kicked out Bonkers for reasons STILL unknown to me, won't expand his repetoir, and seems to barely know how to operate the equipment. And now he's taken to lying, and exageration. Unfortunetly on the last one, he isn't the only person doing it. In essence the world has gone to s**t and I can't really trust anyone.

...and THAT my friends is why Jesus came to earth and gave us the gift of the muffin. ^_^ No, I'm not seriously freaking out again, I'm just venting. Yeah it SHOULD be in teh other thread, but I wanted to do this all in one post.

In other news; I got new drum skinz! YESSSSS! ^_^ Now I can jam like never before... Well, not really, but they'll sound better. LOL I think I might poke around the school and see if I can tack together a better musical group. You know? Like, with talent and drive? LOL sweatdrop
