What happened to the No Transformations rule?
I do like the Morgan's Crown one, but come on, don't state it as a rule if you're going to allow the silly thing.

What kind of C&C do people want when they post edits in the C&C thread? I kind of expect people on Gaia to not care for in depth C&C (generalization obviously), but I don't actually know. I don't want to waste my time writing a critique that no one wants or that will be taken as offencive, but I kind of feel bad about never really saying anything in the C&C thread either...

any kind of observations you can come up with is perfectly fine, anlina. extremely fond of how the edit looks or are u blown away by a particular portion or effect on the avatar? express ur feelings in song!
personally, i take great care to work on my details, so i absolutely appreciate it when someone takes the time to notice them. i say the more in-depth the c&c, the better. 3nodding
on the other side of the ball, there is always room for improvement.. tis perfectly understandable for one to be fiercely protective of their work, so for any criticisms or corrections you see, it would be very helpful to suggest a way to fix or improve upon them. if i hear someone just tell me "hey, thats terrible", then they'd do well to expect a sock to the nose. mad

Darpie yeah I was alittle disappointed with the items I personally think the finalists chosen were bull@#$% choices. Almost all of them were either unoriginal or a violation of the rules.

some of them were pretty good.. the band-aids are a great idea, and cmon now, that trash can is just hilarious. mrgreen
.. and who knows, mebbe most of the other entries are too similar to items that are already in the works?

Thanks shocktv - I've no problem giving good C&C; I used to frequent a variety of art communities where C&C was much sought after. I just don't like taking the time to give a good, in depth critique only to have the person receiving it turn around and go, "Well, I'd like to see you do better!" or "I don't care, it's supposed to be that way," (and I generally focus my critiques on technical stuff rather than stylistic.)
