You might be a band nerd if you'd never gone on this thread before and were making up "band geek" jokes (similar to redneck jokes) with your fellow band geeks.

If someone says "pay attention" and you say "hit" you might be a band geek.

You might be a band nerd if you are determined to get copies of the drill and score for every show your high school's played in the last ten years.

You might be a band nerd if you and friends trade show scores like baseball cards. (Gladiator?! I'll trade you 12 seconds to the moon AND Chastacovitch for a copy)

You might be a band nerd if you think Marching band should be in the olympics (winter or summer?)

you know you're a band geek when...

~you make a drum shaped cake for your conductor's birthday
~you type your conductor's name on xanga search and find out that most of the results show your xanga entries with your conductors name somewhere in there...
~you don't think it's weird to hug your instrument
~everyone knows you're a band geek
~you want to kill your friend because she's in our conductor's home room
~you practice everyday
~the first time your conductor said, "you'll be dreaming of your songs!!! Fingering in your sleep!!" you thought that would never happen (if you weren't a band geek back then....you think nothing can happen gonk ) and now you dream of music and finger all the time
~you actually write notes about your music on a seperate piece of paper...or on the music sheet...
~...and your private teacher has to make you a new copy because yours is in bad condition due to you writing notes on it...and high lighting it....
~you scream, "WHOOO YEAH! GO BAND GEEKS!" With out a care at lunch.

You know you're a band geek when:

-don't thin twice about tasting a friend's reed (even worse when you don't play a reed instrument)

-you've used flavored reeds and know they're a bad idea

You know you're a band geek when you follow your drum major everywhere he(she) goes awaiting his/her command, or you have a massive crush on him(her).
Also, if you sleep with your flute under your pillow. (I used to do that, when I first started playing...I was just so excited that I had a flute, and I will keep that flute forever!! heart Sadly I'm guilty of crushing on last year's drum major...he was hot!)

You know you're a band geek when you offer to be the band librarian so you can steal copies of your parts of music from years past. (Guilty)

You know you're a band geek when people ask you to do the above job for them, and you do. (also guilty)

You know you're a band geek if you ask someone to steal a copy of your part of a song from the music library. (WAY guilty)

Geeze this is wierd.

If you refer to all your friends by their coordinate number, you might be a band nerd. (guilty, I'm F3 sweatdrop )
