Lex erked as he saw the limb reform and felt a bit slapped in the face by that.. his ability had little ability to truely damage the drone.. "crap.." he stood at a distance and looked at the mansion again... 20 drones... 1 of him, and one helluva a long run between here and the mansion... fun. "ehh.. nice robot.... friends?" Nervously stated as he backed off break for the mansion.

Amber traveled throught the forest and fionally emerged from its shadowy canopy of colored leaves and stepped near the shore. Turning to look in both directions to gain her bearings she saw twenty figures moving towards one. Amber didn't find that very fair and moved in on them from behind, steathily drawing Galatine she made her approach and came upon the the flank of the drones. Amber moved on the first one, sweeping low she sliced at one and caught it where a knee should be and severed the leg, then rising she reversed her swing and sliced through it middle, following through she brought her sword in a large arc and cleanly decapitated the drone. Moving away from the fragmented scrape heap she stabbed one of the heads and broke it clean in two before throwing away the two pieces. Turning to faced the other nineteen Amber fell into a neutral stance, Galatine clenched in two hands as she faced her advisaries.

Attacking a walking tank fully loaded and ready to kill, with a sword, was a critical flaw of thinking. It was an error of nature, something that had to be eradicated for the sake of the tresspasser. Nature could not alloy such folly to continue breathing.

And yet, the force driving the drones nearly salivated at the woman before them. He saw her the way he saw every female thing in the universe, delicious. A snack, something edible, something with which to pass the time in either bouts of lust or ravaging hunger. Hunger that was both innuendo and literal.

In any case, this threat could not be allowed to procede. The other 19 drones would turn about, various targetting grids falling onto the woman bearing the blade. Now might be the best chance for people to slip by to the mansion, given that the weapons on every drone were sliding and locking into place, aimed at the woman.

Given the loss, that meant about 38 machine guns would be locking on to her, 38 duel beam cannons would be powering up, and somewhere around 456 rockets would be ready to wipe her off the face of the planet. One could simply say that the woman was... well, screwed.

Except that the drone she'd sliced at had risen, though meakly. A leg severed hardly hindered it, and though there were gashes in it's metal frame, it's core was rather intact. After all, one would find it hard to cleave through several inches of metal plating and several feet of drone innards to reach something vital.

Nonetheless, the other drones would hold back as this injured one faced off against the woman. Without use of it's legs as weapons, it merely held it's place as weapons locked on. From the gashes of metal, 3 long black tentacles would lash out at the woman, hoping to wrap around and catch her sword. She would find that the dextrous tentacles were quite fast, and nearly hungry.

Lex, as heartless as it might seem, took advantaged of the opportunity to weave behind one of the drones, letting the woman handle her own, ducking through anothers legs with a blur of movement, running a hand against its leg, and with a glow of his body markings, liquified the metallic substance, moving quickly to both slow up the drone, or fumble it.. those black tentacles.... the free metal twisted into sharp, spikes of fluid steel and suddenly jutted straight up through the underbelly into the heart of the machine, aiming for where hed seen the rather.. disonccerting black creature in the previous drone he'd met.

if that didnt work.. he was gunna have one Pissed off drone right beside him, and a bunch more equally displeased.. though at this point, all he could do before he broke away to try and make it either to the mansion and keep from being gunned down before getting very far, was slow them up as much as possible... lasers, guns and missles are probly even LESS friendly when your at a medium range, and moving Away, rather then up close and in ones face.

Sparkei recognized the man who had pulled himself up from the balcony instantly as the man who had dropped those weapons in the parlor when he noticed the group of people in the room. Ordinarily he would have brought that up as a re-introduction, but he thought the situation was alittle too hectic for such an introduction. Then with a blink, there was someone else, a boy. He waved and greeted Draeken, but Sparkei knew that he was hiding something. He held a huge book, which Sparkei took note of, and he wore a scarf...that constantly moved patterns and colors. It was beginning to make his head spin, so he looked away and thought about something else, mainly what he said..."We meet again for the first time"? It seemed that he had met him....but at another time? But Draeken hadnt met him? Sparkei knew that trying to think more on it would give him a headache, so he gave Draeken a sidelong glance and said, "You wouldnt happen to know what he was talking about would you?"

Things all began to happen fast. Outside more people were arriving, but he was powerless and overburdened to help them get inside safely. He regretted that. Then there was Derrek arriving, which would have brought a sigh of relief, had not the boy with the large book and odd scarf shown up not a second later. He grimmaced at the greeting and tilted his head. "Just what do you mean by that? And who are you?" He glanced at Sparkei with enough depth to that breif look to imply that he had never met the boy before. At least not that he knew of.

*Kyiana came around a corner and allowed the very corners of her mouth to turn upwards just a fraction.*

He means that he has been medling with his powers, leaping back and forth through time and has already lived this very moment once or maybe even numerous times before. Erudemesa is proving to be quite childish, yet adequate for the task at hand.

Truinthil practically sprinted from the shadows in the hallway near Draeken and grimaced at what he saw and what he felt. "Well, looks like we're in our first problem together as allies. I don care what you say, think, or feel towards me, I'm helping. I've done some horrible things to you and your family and it's time that I repay that. Also, I think I may know a tiny bit as to what these people are here for. Or at least what they are." He frowned in thought as if recalling scores of memories and vast resevoirs of knowledge. "You wont like it. But since I have no idea whether I'm right or not, I'll let them do the explaining. I'm sure that Kyiela...or whatever her name is...will explain in full. She seems the type to do such a thing before proceeding."

Appearing from the shadows of the forest after having watched the drones for some time, the Clone shot past the machines in a blur, wrist blades on and arms held slightly behind him as he ran. The blades seemed to waver and crackle, though, which was caused by them having been wrapped in a high-powered envelope of electricity. He wasnt sure if such energy would pierce the shielding that the drones seemed to have, but he felt he should at least give it a try.

His first dash through the drones would take him through between the two closest to the girl that had just arrived and begun a fight against them. "I would advise you to either change your tactics or run to the mansion, girl." he shouted while he passed, his body a blur as he moved.

Striding in from a side room, Elisi looked around at the people surrounding Draeken. "Well brother, it looks like you're in another jam. I may be entirely outmatched but I'll help however I can." She grimaced intensely at Kyiana and Erudemesa, tightly gripping the handle of her whip.

Amber saw the blur and heard its words, then she backed it up a bit and took a relatively new stance her sword across her back both arms raised and tight on the handle, 'Obviously a mere machine would have fallen, but the dark components have regenarative effects' Amber thought on this for a moment before deciding 'the easiest way to destroy them would be to turn them all against one another but that means having to outrun guns, beams, and presumably rockets......... nothing i can't handle.' Amber was very confident in her abilities and the muscles in her leg coiled like a spring and she leapt indefinitley higher and faster than presumbed possible. After reaching the appex of her jump Amber dropped several homemade charges into the crowd and spun down wards picking up momentum before using momentum, strength, sheer weight and gravity to clean slice through the first robot, her blade divivding stright down the middle with ease, this meant that the CPU(Central Processing Unit) had been cleanly destroyed. Opun hitting the ground the charges Amber had tossed ruptured and four very large explosions took place strewing mechanincal hardware all over the ground. And just to piss off how ever was in control this threw up enough dirt and dust, to blind infared, thermal, and regular sight.Recalling the Blur's voice she began to sprint along the treeline, her legs pumping rigourously as she passed the Drones and still farther as she raced towards the mansion.

In a puff of a blue smoke that blew away to reveal Kira, Trevian and Alexander standing near Draeken. Kira's blade was drawn, if one could see magic, the blade was almost blinding with it's potent arcane power. Trevian had a enchanted knight's sword in one handed relaxed position and Alex hand his hands on the hilts to his twin kodachis, not drawn.

"He's one of the powers I was talking about," Kira said. "He seems to the observer of the three, but you never know with them." Kira had her blade in two hands, drawn down and to her right side, her sword's blade slanted to the left. It looked like a relatively harmless position, but to anyone who knew her lost sword art, it was a position ready to unleash the 'unseen second strike' technique. "I don't know what these powers are capable of, but I have a bad feeling about them."

-------------------------

Tara decided that now was the time to strike after seeing all the distractions. As she jumped from the tree limb she said, "Stay here," to Z. As she decended, fur grew along her body as he muscle's compacted, becoming more dense, but not adding any mass. Her feature's stayed human, just covered in a black spotted golden fur coat, her human ears relpaced by cat ears in higher up on her head. Her eyes were fully slitted and claws extened to be the size of a tigers. As a last effect, she let her tail unravel. She had activated a hybrid feral form, tapping her lychan, cat race and cat demon blood to a quarter strength.

She dived into the ground, using magic to go in like water. She tunneled until she was in the middle of the group of drones and then sprung up, shortly after the explosion and dust kick up, she closed her eyes and relied on her smell, hearing and inner sixth sense to direct her movement.

She immediately picked the nearest drone to latch onto, she passed through the sheilding against arcane spells, as she was casting none, this was all her physical strength. She brought her hand back, sensing where she felt the center, the 'heart' of the machine and drove her hand in, tearing away metal with her claws and throwing the chunks at the nearest other drones. Once she reached the core within seconds she whiped back her head and then drove it in, her powerful jaws and teeth driving into the core as she ripped back and tore it from the machine. As she took the core and smashed it into the drones head, dropping to the ground and kicking behind her at the drone with a metal crunching kickboxing diagnel upward blow to it's head, shoving the core even farther into it's head and lifting the whole body off the ground. Then, as it fell, she open hand, curled finger smacked it in the waist area, sending its mangled wreckage crashing into the nearest drones.

"Next?" Tara said in a half feral snarl/threat as she fell into a kickboxing stance, spitting oil from her mouth, her fur covered in grit, coolant and gas.

Sparkei drew his second blade the moment he senced the second presence, it seemed more manacing than the kid, but Sparkei kept most of his attention on him as he faced the woman who walked in, just looking at her sent a chill down his spine, but it was concealed pretty well, and Sparkei didnt think anyone had noticed. The silent look Draeken gave him told Sparkei all he needed to know, if he did know these two, than he had no recolection. Then two other forms appeared out of thin air, Sparkei gave them a glance but quickly looked away, the man held a sword that was too bright for his sensitive eyes. Then another person ran in, from the shadows it seemed. Startled Sparkei just alittle, then a woman walked in, and Sparkei felt his blood chill when he looked into her eyes. Both offered their help, but Sparkei wondered the history between Dreaken, the woman, and the person from the shadows. Especially since they all seemed so alike...

Lex, as heartless as it might seem... etc etc.

The leg Lex had touched would as before, turn to a liquid-like state. One he manipulated and shoved up into the underbelly of the drone, impaling the creatures within. The black mass shrieked and writhed about, but was ultimately killed. This left this drone looking about the ensueing chaos with no idea as to what the hell was going on.

Sadly, the drones had little protection against such an element aside from the basic failsafes. As such, their shielding would not block the blades or their energy. The clone would find however, that the blades would have a very hard time cleaving through the metal bodies of the large drones. Essentially, the blades did little more than shower the area in sparks and leave gashes, even as some of the targetting and scanning systems were momentarily obstructed by the energy. As for his speed, the drones seemed fairly capable of dealing with that, given that the brief recording had been processed and a new targetting line already devised. the operational drones that formed this simply sent the information instantly to the others via the hive mind.

The jump was amusing, though nothing she could do would have the drones turning upon each other. At this point, she had leapt over the attacking drone only to leave a large gash in another one. Hardly cleaved in half, not even mentioning that the CPU and other systems were located 3-4 feet deep into the unit surrounded by hardware such as the micro-fusion reactor or the arcane generator. Both of which if cleaved in half would cause an explosion capable of wiping all life within 400meters right off the planet.

The charges however would have some effect, causing several units to drop onto their bellies, the racks atop them bursting into an explosion as well, wiping away them as well as the machine guns. This left the tops of several units torn open as if they'd been attacked by a giant can opener. Nonetheless, as she sprinted to the treeline they let her go. There was too much confusion at the moment to try and stop her or Lex.

Amusing, that the catwoman had crawled into a mass of super-heated working components through countless metallic jagged edges and running currents not to mention coolant lines and live plasma simply to grope past two active semi-unstable reactors to grab a core CPU, tear it out, wriggle her way back out of the hole she'd somehow punched into the drone, and then kick it at another drone.

As if to further he feat, she then smashed the core into the head of one drone. (The head of course only vaguely being hinted at by 5 lenses acting as eyes, since there wasn't really any other appendage or area to suggest the drone wasn't a 2-section thing with legs.) And then, and get this, proceeded to life the body of the multi-tonne metallic behemoth from somehow underneath it (When you know, that's kind of like the angles of picking up a car from directly underneath it, just with huge thrashing legs.) And toss it at the other drones.

Amusing, and irritating.

Nonetheless, the one who watched hadn't expected such colorful displays of resistance. his units were severly damaged, and so he let the refugees have their win. he gave them freedom, a win, a victory, the destruction of the 20 drones. Oh he gave it to them.

At a hefty cost.

Within each drone, lays a reactor. This reactor serves as the main power core, which fuels all the systems, the 'muscles', as well as 4 high-grade energy weapons. As one might expect, such a tiny generator of such awesome power is quite unstable. It'd kinda be like a setting off a tactical nuke. You know, tiny mushroom clouds, radiation, force of the displaced air. All that nice stuff.

Well jeez, everyone at the lake, or even the mansion, had 20 of those going off at point-blank range in their face simply because the operator had gotten mad, and used the suicide mode on the units. Yay!

Oh it gets better. For, each unit has not one, but two, generators. The rings which fracture under stress and withhold the power of the arcane generator (The shielding unit) would also go up in a distinct flash of light. THis would cause a tremendous burst of pure magical energy to be mixed with the reaction of the fusion generators.

This would have a couple of effects, such as messing up any spells in the area, tearing away anything magical about someone (Perhaps physically, if they used magic to alter form), would tear through bindings and shield spells with ease as their core physiology was undone. (Yes, spells do rely on basic physics.) And of course as one might expect, cause insane burning and destruction.

And so the dark, throaty chuckle would reverberate throughout the land as the entire beach, and most of the lake, was eaten up by white light. The force of the explosion would ripple outwards to claim a large section of forest, and a great plume of steam would rise where the water had sublimated. Such a blast was minor in comparison as to what could have occurred, and sadly, the operator was nearly certain that everyone would survive.

Thankfully they'd be arriving at the Dojo with some wounds at least. Though still, nothing really that bad, given the circumstances.

As Amber ran she had left one bomb sit in the general vicinity of te drones as she fled. Detonating this bomb would not hurt even a one but had enough electric charge to override the drone systems. Being an EMP bomb, it would temporarily cause all systems to shut down and reboot, and since the machines were operating on a hive network every single drone in exsistence would be shut down for three minutes, even if failsafe engines were present they would be fryed near instantly. This means that unless their controller wanted his entire army shout down simoultaneously he would have to disconnect them from the remainder of the hive. This would also force and files inside the memory and hardrive to be wiped clean therfore the suicide mode of the drones would fail to activate, the bomb would emmit the pulse wave in about a millisecond. So off course as a rational human being this would seem the logical choice. So Amber detonated it and kept running even as the EMP bomb went off.

(personally i think its a little too late to do ANYTHING aside from "Duck and Cover" or think up some way, to Not have been standing pefectly in the path of that..... if i recall, emp does not undo fusion reaction.)

*which lex had been doing while Running his a** off in the confusion of the machine hed stabbed and the others... hed made it far, but probly not far enough before that explosion had gone off, blindly hitting the water off the bridge between the beach and the mansion.. it was safer then standing in the open and taking the full front of the blast, and hopefully far enough to give him a chance... if not before getting tossed about by the resounding shockwave, even under the water.*
