Now, mind you, as a very important incarnate in my religion, it is not entirely unwarranted, but I do come off in this respect. Basically, it's a Christ, without Shem. Fiddlers Green Recursive Paradox I don't think there is a right way to be human. x_x I'm not so sure. Maybe I'm just letting the head-shrinkers get to me too much. However, I have not once spoken honestly with a behavioral therapist who hasn't suggested I be locked far away from the rest of humanity. I don't hate humans... I just don't identify with them. I don't feel like a member of the same species. The inherent connection that is supposed to elevate a Homo Sapient above any other animal in my esteem is missing. I care about individuals I have met. I am not cruel, not malicious. I am just no less cruel to other people than I am to cats, rats, and lizards. I don't see a difference. A human life, a salmon life, a birch life. The same animus is there. I do not feel like a human. I barely even feel like an animal for that matter. And I am always told by people with important pieces of paper that that makes me a danger to others. That I am broken. That I have behavioral problems and likely chemical imbalances. It sounds to me like they're confused. To them they probably think you've lowered humans in your eyes because to them other beings are lower. But those beings aren't lower to you. Humans are still sacred like any other life. You simply hold all living things in high regard instead of just one species. If anything I think society is the screwed up for only thinking that humans are worthy of respect and courtesy. Quote: This is before I get to the part about drinking with Ghosts and Genius Loci. At least when I was in the Army I could rely on the fact that I was a good Soldier to get my command staff to dust such concerns away. they understood it didn't matter. I didn't need to be good at being Human to be good at being a Soldier. Wow, that got long winded. Heart of the matter is, while there may not exactly be a right way to be a human, I'm pretty sure I have found a wrong way. wink I think you've found a better way. ^.^ And if it makes you feel better, apparently humans aren't supposed to change their sex, so I may be doing it wrong myself.

Honestly I still do sometimes >.>; not really the same at all... is it?? ... I do care at any rate lol Sexual stuff tended to and still tends to be a complicated nightmare for me. I've got some books to order, and I'll add this in the lot and see, with lots of pondering on the side until it gets here. Ah, rightio excellent good. Glad to help. Also, two things to keep in mind when reading Nietzsche. He isn't as misogynistic as he seems. He is writing from a male perspective, and most of the original German I have seen of his works tend to want people to disregard relationship foibles. When he says women are a pointless distraction, that is a very poor translation. secondly, he is very hopeful, his writings are aimed at sharing a path to personal empowerment. He does assert that the world sucks and is filled with stupid people, but the heart of what he says is that we can't let that get us down. Some translations make him seem very depressing, they chose words to emphasize his disregard for the failings of the world, and down-play his point about individual greatness. I'm desperate for community. The local pagan scene has packed up and moved on, I feel totally alone. I'm considering attending mass at my school or at a local church that does Latin mass. I'm not sure if I feel good about that...
