6. Someone grabs a hold of you - wait isn't that the Death lead - and you feel yourself being flung into the air and on top of one o the centipede carapaces. You cling for dear life as it descends slowly, and if you do not summon your weapon to hold on, will immediately fall off. If you do manage to hold on, you can try attacking the boss. Doing so will give you additional Fear charges, allowing you use use charges you depleted last turn. If you fall off, take -5 damage, it is a very long fall.
"Running! Running!" Abbi yelled, falling behind Bradley nearly immediately given her short stature. "Thanks for the water!" She added, only to frown down at all the blood he was losing a moment later. In her medical opinion, that was very, definitely bad. But she followed him all the same, only slowing when she saw a familiar figure on the ground.
It was tough, but Abbi leapt forward to tap Bradley on the back of one shoulder. Or well, really she smacked him given she was half throwing herself at him, but hopefully it got his attention all the same. "Come over here! I can heal you, but give me just a second!" It had been years since she'd seen her, but Abbi never forgot a face, certainly not one as lovely and important as Nora. "What's a beautiful woman like you doing in a nasty place like this?" Abbi called as she slid next to the woman, nearly crashing down next to her as she assessed her injuries. Abbi briefly waved to the person near Nora, smiling quickly as her hands snatched up the familiar white strips of cloth. "Hi, Abbi Killian, Moon, Combat Medic. I definitely want to know your name but give me like, one quick minute."
This definitely wasn't Abbi's first time patching someone up on the field, so she moved quickly to tie off the worst of Nora's bleeding with the materials at hand. She was about to say something cute to Nora and Bradley, an introduction or a compliment or anything other than the garbled shout she made instead when she was literally flung into the air. There was only time to realize she was A) now currently atop the thresher maw titan centipede, and B) holy poo, she ought to make sure she didn't fall. Abbi swung her scythe just in time to catch the blade between two armor-like plates where it stuck fast, and she wrapped herself around the handle with both arms and legs and held tight. Since she was so high up, now felt like a really good time to freak out.

uh... if Bradley waits for Abbi to fall she'll heal him too ;7;
Before Sherry could drag him to hell or whatever she was planning on in her clearly possessed state, Chase took the opportunity that her pinning provided to scramble a few more feet away from her. None of what she was saying made any sense. He didn't understand what was wrong with her, or what he could possibly do to help. All he could do was save himself, and hope maybe someone else could fix her before she tried to kill him again.
He was safe, at least for a moment, until the sun was blotted out by a huge dark shadow that was growing ever larger. Chase looked up to see a loop of the centipede's massive body descending, and in a panic it felt like he couldn't move.
Once Joy was certain the others were patched up, she gave them a quick thumbs up and headed off to see if she could protect anyone else. And it just so happens that she ended up protecting one of the newer moon trainees (who wasn't Clyde).
He was finally free of the damned things, Merric kicking away the last one and struggling back to his feet, brushing sand from his legs as he did so.
"My thanks," he said, sounding a little winded, but he nodded appreciatively towards both Roswell and Lysander. "And yes, it does seem to come in useful sometimes, but I could frankly do without this irritating voice in my head; all it does is interrupt my privacy."
Something landed abruptly in his arms, Merric stumbling as he tried to catch it.
"Oh, this would have been useful earlier."

Was it a good thing to get used to such things? She'd have to ponder that later, and process the weight of everything she was already seeing--something that, it sounded like, was barely the tip of the iceberg. Kara was at a loss for words, only offering a solemn nod at the Mist Hunter's words.
She could ask questions later. Now was hardly the time.
But when Stormy and Gale didn't seem to bolt, she hesitated, watching them with clear conflict in what to do. "But... wait, what about you two?" God above were they going to try and help the hunterpede? "Wh-- won't you need help?"
In a way, her choice was made for her, as a massive limb, far larger than anything she'd ever seen that was alive, slammed down into the sand near her. She screamed as the backlash of sand tried to swallow her up, though by some luck--or had someone grabbed her?--she found herself unharmed. Shaken. But. She heard the guy from before telling her to run, and she felt horrible, but how much help could be to them? She desummoned Branwen, freeing her hands, offering a small smile to them. "Please be careful." It was all she could offer before she turn and ran, trying to get away from the giant... giant centipede, soon finding herself running alongside the other guy (Brad).
It wasn't sitting well leaving them though, and she couldn't help but glance back here and there towards the two Hunters.

Sy squinted his eyes to see the monstrosity in front of him, arching back and shielding the sun with one hand. He turned when he thought that Lin or Nora had finally found him but before he could say anything, he was flung high into the air and the face of the Death leader turned into one dot of black as he was being thrown away like an useless object...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH" he screamed, like a girl scared of spiders, and clung on with all of his limbs onto the bug for dear life.
Master Sy, summon me, we can try to attack it.
The scaredy cat just screamed and willed his partner to transform. "C-C-Come out now IAAAAA~~~~ "
His legs started to hurt from clamping onto the centipede with all of his might, refusing to slide off and take a freaking long fall. It was then when he felt Ia in both his hands, a tiny trickle of poison started to drip from one of the many sharp blades..
[ trying to attack that massive thing ]
( 2d8 - 6 ) = 7 damage he tries to deal to the mother of all centipedes
The young boy held tightly onto his weapon and swung it down like a hammer with the sharpest blades going down first. It made a loud clashing sound but it didn't appear to have dealt any damage to the titan at all...

Energy filled him and, with a gasp, Vasily managed to push himself up. There was sand everywhere, at this point, and as he started to probe his injuries -- brushing at the blood on his mouth, that speckled his coat -- he spat it out, and swiped it away, and struggled desperately to get the grainy sensation off of him.
His eyes barely flicked to the hunter who'd helped him before something burst out of the sand, a limb striking just a breath from his leg and sending more sand up and over him, for a long moment leaving him buried under a dune.
19. A passing Hunter tosses you a runic trap torch. Any small mobs you encounter will immediately be nullified by the torch.
"I SAID HOW THE ********-" Another torch hit his dumbass head and he fell backwards, rolling down another dune. "BLEEEH!!" Tobin spit more, wiping his face and he marched back to the top of the dune, staring at the huge titan writhing around in the sand among the others.
"DOTTIE!!! YOU BETTER BE KICKING THAT THINGS a**!!" He called, like a wounded animal, slowly moving down the dune, his boots completely sunk into the sand with each step. "NASH!" He had remembered - Nash had been near him, but what happened now?
Tobin shouted. "NASH! DEAN!! YOU ASSHOLES BETTER BE ALIVE SO I CAN KICK YOUR ASSES LATER!" He grunted with each step. There was no certainty of any of his little group. "SONJA, YOU TOO!" Tobin paused. "BUT TO THANK!"
Coughing, he fell to the floor in a faceplant. "Uuuuuhh..." He made a low, Sideshow Bob groan and stayed where he was. Nearby, he could hear voices. "Guys?"
It took October a moment to realize that he'd been given some bandages, mostly because he was still laying flat on the ground, trying not to die, and more importantly, trying not to be attacked by the giant centipede and not being able to do a damn thing about it.
At least until the bandages. October dragged himself to his feet again, swaying slightly -
- and then felt himself knocked completely over again. He gave a shout of surprise and fear that didn't quite make it entirely out of his throat; Tuesday was yelling somewhere inside of his head, her voice ringing. All of the breath was knocked out of him, October trying to get air into his lungs again, but everything hurt, and he was going to die -
He was not, not here. October dragged himself out, his legs throbbing, fingers digging into the hot sand as he hauled himself bodily away from the thing, Tuesday's frantic sounds echoing in his ears.
I'm all right.
{ You aren't! You're not all right at all! }
I will be.
He wasn't sure he believed that.

Jolene could feel the healing of the bandages soothe her sickness. She understood what Britt was saying, the best she could guess was she had simply gotten caught up in the chaos and had forgotten her role. It was a good thing for her not everyone forgot. She felt the bandages soothe her back to 100%.
She smiled brightly at Joy, "Thank you! You are really good at that." She smiled at Britt too, but mostly for the suggestion.
Then a sudden splash of sand in her... eye... wiped that smile right off her face.

And then America said the magic word, and most of it didn't seem to matter anymore. While she was busy keeping close and directing him to the tent, Dawson was...just giving her a surprised and affectionate look that looked out of place in the middle of the chaos. Dad. He did his best not to let the acid ooze onto her as he waddled, keeping the shield above them.
The tent had...oh God damn it, now Lucky was shirtless. No wonder America knew the way. He sighed a long-suffering sigh and settled in next to her, eying the others in the tent.
"Thing didn't cut you up hard, right, Meri?"

Shouting, not that far away; he could have sworn he heard Bug Puppet! raise up over the winds and the thrashing, and so Ever headed in that direction. He made it two steps before the titan dropped down over his legs, driving the breath out of him and leaving him frozen for a long moment.
Then it moved, and so did he, scrambling frantically. But as he got closer to the sound of the screaming, the shape came around again, and he saw a trainee frozen -- just staring at it.
Ever grabbed him, his legs and head both pounding, more blood spilling through tears in his pants, but he managed to get Chase out of the way.
Charlotte had been careful to stay out of the fray, but that had put her dangerously close to the beast when it appeared. By the time she'd managed to get to her feet, she was surrounded by a corrosive acid that had turned the sand around her green.
"That can't be good," she observed as she held Anima above it, feeling the sting of it as it began to burn through her shield rapidly.

Lunar was finished with the kit, all the blue glowing runes spent and well, whatever the hell it was it did work she figured. Much like whatever Ever had done for her. "Okay Sol. Hey. Sol. We gotta go. That thing is rampaging about an-"
She paused as another hunter sprinted by, "Kid! Catch! Point the burning end away and press." He demonstrated on his own device. "Drive em back if they come at you!" The hunter sprinted off spraying fire at smaller bugs that lunged at him.
"And it's going to kill us all so we need to go NOW."
