Tairu just stopped. His frustration was growing and he needed to calm down. There must be something throwing me off. he thought. Since the normal breathing exorcise wasn't working Tairu decided to do something a little more drastic. He took out his sketch book and just started to right everything that was upsetting him. After he wrote all of his anger and and sadness onto a piece of paper he ripped it out of the book and then carefully folded the piece of paper into a crane. He then set the crane afloat on the Konoha river. He then looked at the pebble with determined eyes. I am going to master this jutsu! Tairu told himself. He then performed the required hand seals and yelled "Kawarimi no Jutsu!"Kawamiri no Jutsu The students will use their pebbles from the Henge lesson to practice the Kawarimi technique. They must successfully complete this four times. DC: 13 Cp: -1 per Kawarimi usage Cp: 2 Formula: 1d20 + 0. Train: 3/4 Rewards: +1 Chakra

Getting all of his problems out was definitely the thing that Tairu needed. With his mind cleared of distractions Tairu was able to successfully perform the Kawarimi no Jutsu with precision accuracy. Yes, only one more lesson to go! Tairu celebrated in his head as he didn't want to look silly in front of Kuro by doing it out loud. After learning the Kawarimi no Jutsu Tairu had only to complete a Taijutsu spar before completing the Academy's core curriculum. By the time I join the Academy those other students won't stand a chance! Tairu thought. LV. 1 | Experience: 0/100 | Hp: 8/8 | Cp: 1/1 | MHp: 10/10 She was already out of breath by the time she reached the mountains, and she hadn't even climbed it yet. The trail she needed to hike seemed to be so high. 'This would be a good place for exercise,' she thought as she ascended the mountain. Something she as a bookworm, hadn't done since she was oh... six years old? But she wasn't here to build muscles. Not yet. And the girl was not looking forward to it, hating anything that made her sweat and run out of breath.
The sight of the clearing, and of other people training there, was stunning in an aesthetic and a mortifying sense. It occurred to Kaede that, if she wanted help, she'd have to approach the other shinobi. And that was the last thing she wanted, yet help was also something she wanted and... Kaede angrily tugged at her bangs. 'Make up your mind, idiot.'
The girl chose to plop down by a rock, keeping her distance from the others, soon regretting the action. The grass was damp, and already staining the bottom of her kimono. Great, not only did she have to clean blood stains and tears off her clothes, but grass stains and dirt. The sweat from the climb dripped from under her armpits and down the crevasse of her back did not help. Oh, she must look really dirty to the others... even if they don't say anything, they're probably thinking it. Probably looking down on her, the daughter of the garbage man. All the more reason to avoid them. A trip to the dry cleaning would be the next thing she needed to do after training.
She rolled out the scroll on her lap, slightly more clean than the ground she sat on. This would be the second attempt at the ox seal. It still looked difficult. She scrutinized her hands, noting that the wounds didn't hurt has much as they did back at the academy. Now to concentrate on the exercise.
Handseals Formula: [1d20 + Int Mod. = (#)]. DC: 12 Total Seals Learned: 5/12 Rewards: +1 Intelligence
Kaede closed her eyes and slapped her cheeks twice. 'Okay, if I can't do this again, I'll try... I'll try to ask for help.' Dark brown eyes fluttered open and focused on the diagram.

Tairu laid down on the ground with his back to the earth. He looked up to the sky and just relaxed. Tairu was extremely happy with himself as he only had one more lesson to complete before all of the mandatory lessons were complete. Looking up at the clouds he breathed in out slowly. His chakra reserves were exhausted and he needed a rest. While I wait for Kuro to get ready I think I'll try activating and maintaining my Byakugan. Tairu thought. It sounded like a good idea but Tairu knew that he needed a good long rest.

"Dang it!", Kuro yelled to himself, finding that he had his hands in the wrong position. "These should be easy!", he said to himself, slightly annoyed and enraged by his failure. He noticed the new girl enter their training area, although she did not approach them. The girl seemed familiar, and Kuro guessed he had seen her around before. He was glad she did not approach, seeing as how he gets nervous around girls his own age, especially if they are paying a lot of attention to him. Kuro bucked himself up, and studied his hands again. You gotta do this Kuro, he thought to himself, do it for dad and the bloodline... you cannot disrespect your dying blood. He readied himself, and attempted the Inu seal once more. "Inu!", he called out, attempting the seal once more. Handseals The first thing the students needed to learn were the handseals that made the Jutsus possible. So I set them to learning all twelve. The rules are as follows: Roll 1d20 for each seal, one at a time. They must get a 12 or higher in order to correctly perform a seal. Each seal must be performed once correctly before being learned. Use the formula: [1d20 + Int Mod. = (#)]. DC: 11 Total Seals Learned: 2/12 **No Hp or Cp cost. Rewards: +1 Intelligence
Mods: +1 from Tairu's teaching (-1 to DC)

(Lets try another BARREL ROLL!) Kuro was becoming more and more frustrated. His hands either slid too far or too short, and he could not feel his chakra flowing properly he he performed the Inu seal. "Lets go again Kuro. You'll make it this time.", he said to himself, as he readied his hands. He thought that, if he remained calm, he would do better. "Inu!", he called out, attempting the handseal a third time. Handseals The first thing the students needed to learn were the handseals that made the Jutsus possible. So I set them to learning all twelve. The rules are as follows: Roll 1d20 for each seal, one at a time. They must get a 12 or higher in order to correctly perform a seal. DC: 12 Total Seals Learned: 6/12 Rewards: +1 Intelligence Now, Kaede understood what she was doing wrong in her previous attempt at the ox seal. It was only supposed to be her middle and ring finger bent at 90 degrees. Her pinky unconsciously curled with them. She'd have to rectify that habit.
It was boy, around her age. And from the lack of headband, he was either a civilian or an academy student just like her. And looking at the strange symbol on the back of his clothing, it was probably the latter. Kaede knows she's seen it somewhere, perhaps during her frequent trips to buy her groceries. But the faint memory of the name of the symbol eluded her mind. He didn't look busy, like the other boy who was engrossed in his training back at the academy. She wondered if he was just here to enjoy nature.
Then, she heard someone yelling, and glanced at the origin of the noise. It was boy, around her age performing handseals, just like the ones she was trying to learn. Watching him train so hard reminded her that she had her own seal to learn too. The serpent. She felt a little more encouraged now, as though part of his fighting spirit was leaking out and flowing through her as well. A deep inhale, and she wove her hands together.

Tairu looked at Kuro's hands from his vantage point on the ground. "Very good, it looks you got the Inu hand seal down pat Kuro." Tairu said then while still laying on the ground ground he formed the Tatsu or Dragon hand seal. "Next up is the Tatsu, and you make it like so." Tairu said as he broke the hand seal and then reformed it by intertwining his fingers with his palms pressed flat against each other. Man the clouds are looking nice today. Tairu thought to himself.
Shinobi can help/hurt each other by either assisting/offering advice/cheering presence or being distracting. As a Student, you can give -1/+1 to others when they are doing lessons/training. +1 to Kuro Cp: 2 + 1 from resting.

Kuro watched the young Hyuuga boy show him the dragon seal, or Tatsu seal, as he lay on the ground, resting from his previous training. The fingers were intertwined, with the thumbs also intertwined and pinkies extended, and without close inspection revealing uniform quality, one would find it complicated. After attempting it slowly with his own hands, he positioned himself, studied and ran the seal through his mind one more time, and decided to try it. "Tatsu!", he called out as he attempted the seal. Kuro, as he thought he would when he first saw the seal performed by Tairu, failed to perform the Tatsu seal correctly on his first try. He fingers were intertwined in a jangled mess. His pinkies were the right way though. Kuro decided to look back over the the girl, and saw her performing handseals as well. Maybe she could help him too. "Hey, you!" Kuro called to the girl, positioning himself once more. "You, girl with the Kimono! Come over here please!". he called out, beconing her over before attempting to get the Dragon seal down the way it was supposed to be. "Tatsu!", he said to himself, attempting the seal again.

(The funny thing is, a DC of 12 is pretty high for such a menial task by D20 modern 3.5 rules) "Dang it!", Kuro yelled to himself once more, finding that he had his hands in the wrong position, as a total mess of intertwining fingers. His pinkies were correct though, as were his thumbs. "Why can't I get these hand signs right? They're not all that complicated!", he said aloud, getting ready to try again. He examined his hands , hoping to put them in the right place this time. "Tatsu!", he yelled, somewhat angrily, once again attempting the Tatsu, or Dragon, seal. Handseals The first thing the students needed to learn were the handseals that made the Jutsus possible. So I set them to learning all twelve. Handseals Formula: 1 (d20) + 0 (int mod) = 1 (fail). DC: 12 Total Seals Learned: 6/12 Rewards: +1 Intelligence Whatever encouragement she had from watching the other student immediately deflated at the sight of her poor imitation of the serpent seal. The fingers were intertwined correctly, but something was off. A long examination at the picture of the serpent seal revealed what she was lacking. The thumbs. She couldn't see the thumbs in the diagram, so how should she position them? Knuckles pressed against each other like the bird seal or crossed over each other like the dragon seal, or...?
This was something she couldn't figure out on her own. Perhaps she should go ask the dark-haired boy, the one with the symbol on his back. From the way he performed the dragon seal, one that took her several tries to learn, it seemed like he had mastered his seals. He had folded his hands so effortlessly. 'So that's what a shinobi is supposed to look like,' the girl observed with awe. He was helping the other boy, Kuro was it? Perhaps he would be willing enough to help her out on the serpent seal. Probably... maybe... hopefully...?
Before she could decide on how she was going to approach the boy, the other one, Kuro had called out to her. 'Oh, no...' What did she do wrong? Was it the way she looked? The stains on her kimono? Or did he knew who she was and wanted to make fun of her? Kaede found herself breathing harshly, heart pounding loudly in her chest, not from fatigue like the mountain climb. Rather, out of fear and the adrenaline pouring into her bloodstream. She hesitantly approached this Kuro, eyes darting towards the pathway, her backup escape route. If he was mad, she'll apologize and run. If he wanted money, she'll give it to him. If...
