She was more distraught then she was willing to let on when he released her hand, and she pressed her teeth together to keep from simply blurting out anything that might put a bandaid over the obvious wound she'd just made in the conversation.
Instead she crossed her arms around herself protectively and tried not to let her shoulders hunch up to the point of aching.
After a minute or two of strained silence she finally had to fill it with something. An apology would do. "Sorry, I just.. It's nagging, and haunting. I didn't know if anyone else had it happen." She didn't want to be alone, not in any sense. Not even in experiences.

Had he been here before? Liom honestly couldn't remember given how much time he spent in the other realms. Looked pretty neat, and hopefully would hold promise of something interesting.

"Was it better before," she asked idly, more thinking out loud then actually asking. "When there weren't doubts, or worries, or confusing flashes of lives we can't remember?" She kicked at a rock and sent it bouncing out of sight.
Out of the corner of her eye she caught that shiver, and she reached out to lay her hand on his arm. A tiny, comforting gesture, before it fell away and her arm returned to his tight hold around her own body.

"Of course it ******** was," he said. He shied away from her hand like it burned, like he hadn't just given her his. Just like leaving her and demanding she stay with him, Amity apparently felt strongly that he ought to be the one who made the decisions. "I didn't ask for any of this and I'm guessing you didn't either. And everyone falling all over each other to get put up on a pedestal with them, like they aren't causing enough grief alone."
And him too. But she didn't need to know that, because his motives were better than theirs.

She pursed her lips, head tipping back so she could watch the fog swirling lazily above them. "Even accepting that, I don't think I could just choose to go back." She wasn't clear on all the whys, but she suspected the bits of memories had a lot to do with it.
The more devote among them had begun to make Coyote feel distinctly uncomfortable, so she could certainly relate to what Amity was saying now. "I don't want to be a goddess," she admitted, brows knit. "I just want to know who or what I am, and why I'm here." These questions weren't directed at him. He didn't have any answers, at least not to those.
She didn't say anything after that for a while, and instead let the silence stretch on between them as they just kept walking. It wasn't exactly comfortable, but it wasn't strained, and that was acceptable.

There was one more land he had yet left untouched, and Imuiel had decided that now was the time to go there. Bidding farewell to his home once more, he moved through the fog, focusing on just where he needed to go.

This land was filled with a soft blue, its name fitted so well - the edge of the world. It was a place surrounded by cliff and the grey rapids disappeared dow n the fog was impressive, He decided to stay here for a while.
