 JOUSTIN' Listening still to the sound of her own bells, Amarus wondered how Faustus and Olivia were doing. It probably wasn't a good idea; as she became distracted, she dipped the lance a little, losing the charge a bit, and nearly stopped her wolf from moving. As it was, she managed to pay attention soon enough that they were able to keep moving.

JOUSTIN' They were so close. Amarus could nearly taste it. Losing focus again, she barely managed to keep the lance steady, but at least she hadn't lost anything over it. Her wolf, to its credit, just kept moving.

JOUSTIN' "Excited to eat, Rin?" Amarus asked her wolf, eyes focused on the prize. The wolf just kept up its pace. Amarus wished she could say the same for herself. Like a rookie, just like at the beginning of the run, Amarus let her lance dip too low and it caught in the ground as they were moving, just long enough to take a chunk out of her charge.

JOUSTIN'Jericho seemed to love to stomp, the slow progress was slow, but ever steady and the whelp looked like he was enjoying it. Probably thought there was something delicious or shiny at the end. JOUSTIN' For the home stretch, Amarus remained silent, focused, determined. Amarus did excellently, her lance held perfect, making up for every mistake she had made in the last few steps. However, while she was focusing on her own attack, the wolf lagged behind; they had some extra time to kill, now, sadly. Still, Amarus was pleased with their progress, and immensely so. She laughed, briefly, celebrating the force of their charge.

JOUSTIN' Silently focusing again, Amarus divided her attention between holding her charge and maintaining the wolf's movement. The result of their effort was a respectable advance in both regards; her focus coupled with the wolf's movement meant that they progressed enough to make Amarus even happier.

JOUSTIN' It was as if the Conquest lotuses had unlocked something previously hidden within Amarus. Before them, she was incapable of displaying nearly any emotion save joy at a battle-related victory. Now, she was smiling because she was with her mount, moving, preparing their attack.
Because of their mutual energy, Amarus and Rin moved into the final stretch with zeal, recovering any lost energy they'd had. Successful in their endeavours, Amarus wondered if she could ask the sisters where she might find a good treat for her mount. A meaty treat. Or if she'd have to go smuggle one for the wolf. She was practically beaming with pride over the sheer effort exerted by both mount and rider, and their ultimate victory.

JOUSTIN' Jericho Jr seemed to like to run as it the young dragon continued its search for food shinies. Melas was enjoying it at first, but all the sudden starts and stop and being jerked around from side to side. yeah it was starting to take a toll, the lance was starting to slip from his grasp as he held on with both hands. "hey hey, careful there Jer!" the dog said sharply and gave the dragon another tap on the tummy with his boot, just to remind him that he was still on him. A snort of derision made the hound feel the message was relayed properly, in which gave gave a snort back. Ah, the bonds of friendship. Considering anytime he had spoken the tortoise had only gone backwards, this time Mort simply sat atop her and waited, gripping the lance as tight as he could as he looked out to the dummy they were supposed to be heading towards. Oh please, oh please, oh Jack don't let the sisters be watching him in this embarrassing position . . .
Miraculously, after a short while of silence Kithka began to move forward at a decent pace. Mort smiled but restrained from speaking, lest she decide that it was a bad idea to come out of her shell.
