Slowly, Kori got up with Richard's help, "I can follow... Who... attacked us? Why?" Even with Starfire standing, it would be a few moments before her equilibrium would return to normal. Apparent to Nightwing, the Tamarian princess staggered. ........................... Tim and Kai would hear a couple of 'thooms'. Experience for the pair would identify the noise of grenade launchers.... ............................ Two humans and raccoon were still under fire from scattered I.O. forces as if trying to drive them in a particular direction...

Dart had no say or ability to stop the pair when they vanished, leaving him confused, enraged and pained. He gritted his teeth befor ehe yelled into the sky at them, "What the heck is your problem!? I need your help!"
Pain crept into Dart's chest, burning fiercely in his heart as he felt helpless, unable to help himself or get back to his home. His best lead went up in fire and smoke, literally, and he had no other way of knowing where to go or what to do. He stood there for several minutes as the chaos went about closer to the mansion, the noise and actions sounding dead to him. He realized soon enough that he was stuck here for the moment and decided that he needed to head back to the girl. By now she must be fraught with worry over what was going on...
Jogging at a moderate pace, sheathing his sword at his belt, he crossed the field as quickly as he could without causing more distractions. He was fed up with this place and needed to pursue his answers elsewhere. Climbing over the fence and moving through the brush was of no trouble. Now, he had a ways back of getting to the city. With his Dragoon power tapped and progressively moving away from the carnage, it's power was less magnified and was taking it's sweet time to return...
"Can't...believe...the nerve! Just where...is...Wayne!"

Robin would every now and then glance over his shoulder. The battle they were leaving behind kept drawing attention but by the sound of it, it wasn't following them down to the waters. Never the less, they hurried to get away as soon as possible. As they neared the water's edge Robin let out a sigh of relief.. there was plenty of cover down by the rocky shore, and they hadn't been seen beforehand. Finally they caught up to Nightwing and (thankfully) a conscious Starfire.
"Well, it sounds like Batman isn't going to have a house anymore... did you call O or the Watchtower? They need to tell everyone that this place is too dangerous to come back to."

"You should call Tim and let them know."
When they reached the shore she was relieved. She had her equipment and costume and right now that was all she needed, though a little part of her felt as though she lost something. The manor was now in fire, a home that she lived in for a good number of years off and on. With that gone now with the Titan's tower pretty much every place she ever did call home was no longer livable or safe. Walking with Grayson they crossed some rocks on the shore into a little cove where a boat lay tied covered in a rock camouflaged tarp on the dirt.
Grayson went up the the tarp and pulled it off revealing the Bat boat. It had enough room for the four of them perfectly and a hatch to cover them from open fire or head under water. He opened the top hatch and turned to help Starfire into the passenger seat.
"IO is attacking us, I suppose they were trying to capture us. I can explain more later... Want to sit with me in the front. Tim could you sit back with Kai and let me know after you contacted Oracle and Bruce about our compromised home?"
((They are leaving with haste o-o ))

"Got it."
Tim helped Kai into the back and sat next to her. He immediately whipped out his comm, swiping and tapping it, before pulling it close to his mouth. Tim had opened lines to both the Institute and the Watchtower.
"Hello, Watchtower, Oracle, this is Robin."
He sounded slightly winded but otherwise urgency dominated his tone.
"We've got some pretty bad news. The Gotham 'base' has been compromised. Tell anyone you can get a hold of to stay away, it's location has been outed. Do not come back here."

Robin heard a response a few seconds after his transmission. Tim would note that Barbara sounded like she was slightly out of breath, "Read you loud and clear, Robin. We have a problem here too. A well armed armored super soldier is attacking here with the trying to get at Professor Xavier.... And the Professor just told me that Miss Fairchild just went down trying to fight this guy. We just locked ourselves in the War Room. I'm sending a message to Cyclops shortly. What is your sitrep? Did everyone get away from the attackers?"

Of course, by then, Jonah and Arell were getting the chopper ready. Screeching to a halt, Rocket looked back as the whirlybird roared to life, and getting ready to turn on the offensive. What the?!? Rocket thought as he caught with the others, holding on to the door as he pulled out a blaster.
"Hey! Clint Eastwood with a funny accent! Let's turn the tables on these jerks!" Rocket suggested as Arell flashed a thumbs up.
"Roger wilco, fuzzy! We're GOIN' IN!!! Hex, fire at will!!!" Arell called as the chopper turned over to where the shooting was COMING from and started to turn the tables on their almost assailants!

Kai overheard the communication that he was having and thought herself a moment before speaking under her breath.
"Alfred... He was captured."
She sat in the chair feeling terrible that someone who didn't have any powers or anything to with vigilantism himself was caught. Coupled with the fact that she was becoming quite numb from head to toe her mood wasn't a great one. After having injured her wrist, having her powers weakened making it a great pain to use them this is exactly what she didn't need to top it off. Kai leaned back in her chair after buckling up began to lean a little looking as though she was going to sleep.
"Kai, you look paler than usual... I'm seriously concerned, what happened?"
By this Time Grayson was now at the controls and steering of the boat and closed the top down over the four of them. Starfire sat shotgun next to Grayson and Kai in the left passenger seat behind him. He could see that she was leaning when he looked back.
Kai was already unable to respond and felt like a college kid falling asleep in class after a string of all nighters. Any effort she had was kept into trying to keep her eyes open and her head up. All that action she feels is the only reason besides her powers that kept her awake most of this time. Now she was completely drained it took hold."At least, I made it out." She thought to herself.
[quote"Skuld HJG"]You didn't post for star, I hope it's okay that I put her in the front seat because they have to leave the situation. And then I'm not sure if it would move to the outskirts of Gotham then when they are out on the water. ((It was a sort of heavy tranq. She should have been out by now but she is going out more now. ))

// since she was dumped nearby, and I'm still contemplating what to do with Terry Bats... ///
The little red-headed girl sat on the rooftop the man in green had dumped her on, watching the events unfold in the distance. They had seen something big happening outside the mansion when they were flying, but from here, it was hard to see anything. The Wayne Mansion was a fair distance away from any other house. But... she did hear the gunfire and explosions and... all the rather exciting sounding stuff.
"Missing everything..." she growled to herself. Rosie, or whoever she would be now... she hadn't really decided on a name yet. Would probably need one. She wasn't the original Rosie, and after the experimentation done to her in the Underground Exhibit... she doubted she was anything like the original. Took everything she had not to let her "crazy show".
Squinting, the child stomped her foot and kicked back dirt in aggravation. She told the man in green about Wayne Manor because she wanted to go in herself. SHE wanted to run around a rich guy's house for a bit and feel all fancy. Now it looked like there wasn't going to be much of the place left to explore.
And... there was something important about that place. She couldn't remember what exactly, but she knew that the big-wigs at the Underground Exhibit had placed a big red flag at this place on their little map. Something about Batman? Or... Batman could easily find out about their laboratory? And... what was that other thing? Supergirl? Was Supergirl supposed to be there someplace too? Something about a symbiote too.
Oh well. Looked like it was as good as gone now. And she couldn't even get off this rooftop to go and loot what's left! Maybe she should try to go and find Joker instead. Or Creeper. Ooh, was Lex Luthor still around?

It took a while for Dart, but he had eventually made it to the first of the buildings outside of the manor's perimeter, finding the building where he had left the young girl to be safe. If nothing else could be awarded to him from this night, he at least would ensure this young one's safety...getting to the roof however was problematic. He had no power left to him to use his Dragoon, the orb once dripping with karmatic power now barely trickling with it, gradually getting stronger.
It would be at least an hour or two before he could expect to even transform, let alone do anything purposeful with it, so now he has to resort guile and wit to get up to the roof, about three or four stories upwards. Luckily, it and another building next to it were only separated by a small alley, the second building being only half as large. A large dumpster bin was on the opposite side against the larger building. Seeing no other way, Dart stood atop the dumpster and unsheathed his sword, looking to the other building and took the sword in an underhand pose, aiming for the bricks that held it together.
Throwing his sword, it's metal body sunk reasonably well into the brick near the top, half of it's blade sheathed within the material. With only two to three steps for the dumpster, he gathered as much of himself as he could, leaping off from it and grasped tightly to his sword before he plummeted to the ground. Lifting himself onto the flat side of the blade and grasped the edge of the roof's end. Using his foot to hook up on the sword's hand guard, he carefully forced it free from the wall and kicked it upward, sending it into the air and over onto the roof, clattering about as he then pulled himself up.
He sighed, half of the job now done but was at an impasse on how to get up the rest of the way. With no convenient bars, ledges or boards, he didn't have much of a way of getting back up there and he wouldn't be able to make use of the sword trick again. He grumbled lowly, realizing quickly how stupid he was to leave her on such a high roof and called out to her, "Hey! Are you still up there!? It's me Dart! You there?!"

(It's okay Maho. Been busy this week sweatdrop ) Starfire glanced up the rock face looming above the water. Even though she couldn't see the Manor, the Tamarian could see volumes of smoke drifting upward into the morning sky. A deep sadness overtook the alien princess, as she thought of Alfred's fate and about how they had to flee from the Manor. Did they have anywhere to go? Where they being followed? Could they stop them, if they attacked again? Kori mulled over this and turned to Nightwing, "Richard, does this mean that we must live in the box of cardboard?"

Rosie's silent tantrum stopped once she heard someone call up to her from the side of the building. She glanced around for a moment, then moved towards the area the voice had come from. Carefully, she looked down at the man in green who had put her up on the roof. She gave him a small smile, then waved. "Hi! Did you find anything? Was there a fight? Is the mansion on fire? It looks like it's on fire! There's so much smoke coming from the hill!" she called down to him.

Hex's return fire quickly silenced the IO guns once and for all. As the morning sun rose, one of the IO operatives managed to tap this communicator, "Sir.... They got the chopper up .... wiped the rest of the team... I'm really busted up... I ... think I'm dying...."Deeper in the forest with Rose and Jack Summers and an unconscious and bound Alfred Pennyworth, Threshold looked completely annoyed. Rolling his eyes skyward, the IO telepath tapped his comm to respond, "Continue dying.... out. Can someone bring them down.... Hello? Fire Team Alpha, respond...." Matthew was only met with static and turned toward the Summers', "Looks like we're on our own now. I highly suggest we withdraw."Then, a text message came in on Matthew's comm, and the mentalist flipped the device open so he could read the display: Phoenix Base has fallen. SHIELD attacked. Director Baiul dead. Only handful of personnel escaped. Enroute to Condor Base. See you there.
Zorn. Matthew Calahan grimaced, "It's worse than I thought. Ivana is dead, and S.H.I.E.L.D. attacked us. That would explain the coordination. Zorn will meet us at Condor Base. Sounds like we're going to Peru."Mahohaku Just waiting for an action or decision from the Summers, and you'll be on your way to Peru. xd

"YAAAAA-HAAAAWWW!!! That'll learn them ol' boys t' try that s**t on us!" Jonah crowed as Arell smirked, soaring the helicopter around.
"Well, sounds like we done got da rabbits on da run deah, Jonah! Let's see if'n we can flush out dem demented-a** doctors Summahs 'fore dey give us da slip!" Arell mentioned as Rocket smirked. Those two had a lot of potential. Hell, two dudes charged the goddamn guns that outnumbered them HUNDREDS to two, and contrary to SOME supers who flew the coop, they took the fight to them. Rocket smirked. While Hex's guns did the majority, Rocket gave it the job with a few well-aimed blaster shots. They'd make some awesome guardians! Better have a talk with Star Lord about this he thought as he held on before the door opened and Arell got Rocket into the chopper.
"It's a lot mo' comfy in heah, li'l buddy!" Arell said with a thumbs-up. Rocket, who usually would have ripped someone's face off for calling him "little" smirked and flashed a thumbs-up back.
"Roger that, Eastwood!" Rocket replied.

"I'm afriad so..." Dart started, grimacing as he looked back at the burning mansion, "And Bruce Wayne was nowhere to be found. It seemed like a small war was going in the middle of that house...a lot of armed people, some strange figures, a guy in a red mask and a girl who could manipulate and summon fire. Seems like this world is ripe for conflict..."
His eyes looked up to Rosie and pondered on how to get up to her, short of trying to jump it. There were no ledges, no windows or borders he could use to easily latch and hang on for grip. The only thing that he could see that held any possibility was a rickety looking rain gutter and there was no way that he could use that for support. The only thing he could really think of was to tell her to jump to catch her, unless there was a way she could get down herself.
"I can't use my powers for the moment. Are you able to get down?"
