Rhed King effective health strategy Also, take into account the likelihood that you will be focused. In lower (read: our) elos, high health bars are incredibly discouraging because it's all most people will see when they're just glancing at your character. I have seen people focus a 1700HP Amumu with 150+ resistances in each over a 2500HP Kat with no resistances. This is why I actually don't get Warmog's on tanks; building a Frozen Heart and FoN makes you look easier to kill than that RoA/Rylai's mage it's your job to protect.
(Not gonna argue about Aegis of the Legion's insane cost effectiveness, though. I have the biggest boner for that item.)

Have been trying out jungle Shyvana. I like it, it's not as baffling as I first thought the whole thing was. That's my best so far. I messed up a few ganks. Kept trying to gank mid, but Fiddles refused to let Ahri push enough for it to work. :/
Got double kill on two occasions too. p: I need to work better on ganking though. A couple I was too late, one that got me killed because I didn't ward this one bush I thought I didn't need to worry about at that point. Actually, I mess up usually because of my timing.
Also, counter jungling is fun. Shut down this Jungle Nocturne a few gamea before purely because I kept taking his minions and buffs.

I've been having a lot of fun playing supports lately. I don't have to worry about getting kills, just making sure my partner is getting kills and staying alive. I like both Zilean and Alistar. I thought I'd be terrible with them since I played aram and got those two, but I did surprisingly well both times. Might not play them a lot, but those first times were fun.

It was on my alt, and I didn't have my masteries set up either. It was an aram game though, and we lost because we didn't have any of our towers up anymore. - w-

Hello all who frequent this thread:
I'd like to explain to you all what move-speed really is, how it's effected by buffs, slows, and boots.
Regarding that: The movespeed masteries and quints increase your BASE movement speed. If you therefore, have 300 (the lowest), this will increase to 306 (not even remotely noticable. If you're fully decked out in the movespeed masteries and runes department, you can get a total of 9.5 (basically 10% while above 70% health) so at best you can raise the slowest starting champ up to the fastest possible starting champ.
However, this effect compounds when you are dealing with already fast characters. pantheon and master Yi both have 330 move-speed, the highest base value in the game. using this trick on either of them brings them up to 363. This augments your BASE movement speed, which makes all slows, and haste's on you more effective. For example. ghost is a 27% (we'll use 30%) increase in speed. It goes off on anivia and gives her 300+(.3*300=90)=390 move speed for 8 seconds. Master Yi uses ghost and gets 330+(.3*330=99)=429 movespeed for 8 seconds. Here we begin to see advantages, no?
Master Yi with an extra 10% base movespeed uses ghost, and gets 363+(.3*363=109)=472 movespeed for 8 seconds.
now ghost falls under a similar category of hastes and slows, all hastes and slows have equal priority, and all work off of base movement speed. What this DOES mean is that 363 movespeed master yi will be slowed numerically more by a 20% slow, but I'd imagine you would expect that to be the case anyway.
after active hastes and slows are movespeed granting items, like zeal, PD Triforce, FoN and LB. These items work as if they were attatched to your base movespeed, but do not factor into the calculations. Thus ghost will not give you more movespeed if you have 5 zeals as opposed to having none. equiped movement speed is kept as a percentage so..... buffs and slows stack with each other, so if you have 10% increased speed from zeals and get slowed by 20%, you have a 10% slow on your base speed.
Thus a wise reader would be correct in assuming that move-speed buffs and debuffs stack additively. which means if you get hit by karthus's wall while under the effects of ashe's arrows you suffer two added movespeed reductions. this means that you can be slowed to the point of immobility; except for one thing:
BOOTS
reader: ******** ok how important are boots actually?
Boots are actually the very last things to be considered on the table of move speed (that makes them great at avoiding slowing and bad at compiling speed). there are 4 different speeds of boots categorized as 1 2 3 and 5.
1 is 50 (boots of speed) 2 is 70 (all the other boots that also offer benefits) 3 is 90 (boots of swiftness 5 is 124 (boots of mobility)
so with boots, the number adds onto whatever your current speed is. thus if you have been nasus'd into only 5% of your normal movespeed, with level 3 boots you're still toddling about at a speed of at least 90.
So which boots should I NOT buy?
the ones with the silly wings on them. boots of swiftness. they are the only boots that offer tier 3, and 90 movespeed. you are paying 750 gold for 40 movespeed. didn't you just pay 350 for 50 movespeed? don't do this. You are better off putting that 750 into an item you actually want that grants movespeed as well, like PD. 15% movespeed off of 300 is 45, stacked with 50 from your boots gives you 95 additional speed. granted it costs more too, but those other values can help your champion, and are probably the reason you bought them.
In conclusion: I hope this clears up any grey area as far as movement is concerned. I hope this also show's the relative non issue as far as boots are concerned. Past level one you should be buying only for their functionality, not the speed increase they provide (unless you want to go all the way, then get the mobility boots)
