At a young age, he was separated from his older brother and mother during an attack on the town the small family had been staying at. During the chaos his parents separated, taking a child in their arms, and made their own routes back to their home. However surrounded and desperately defending his son, Sai's father never made it back, succumbing to his wounds on the outskirts of the town. Found and taken from his father's arms, Sai was raised in a foster home. At the age of 13 Sai had graduated the Ninja Academy in the Mist Village. On the morning of the graduation ceremony, he encountered a strange man in passing, a man he would later learn to be the infamous Wolf Kaizen. The encounter was brief and unremarkable but before departing each other's company, Wolf had left his brand upon the young shinobi, blessing him with the surprising knowledge and capacity of an ability known as the Flying Thunder God technique. This would quickly earn the boy the childish nickname, "The Flickering Pink b*****d". Sai quickly made a name for himself through his quick and solo completion of missions that were normally beyond a normal Genin. It was during this time that the Mist Village was hostility and discretely taken over by Hatari Hyuuga, The Black Serpent. The night following the takeover and replacement of former Mizukage Daisuke Mizu, Hatari found his way to the young shinobi's home and recruited him for his own purposes, removing the seal that Wolf had placed on him. In the following months, Hatari tracked down the other Orasakai child, Sorain, and reunited them as comrades and teammates. Together the brothers were sent on one dangerous mission after another; the take down of the Devron Clan, Infiltration of the Lionhart Clan, and Espionage of the Village Hidden in the Snow. It was in this last mission that the brothers' life were truly put on the line as they were confronted for their crimes by the former Yukikage Hikenato Inuzuka and his disciple, and future successor Raven Mizu. Hatari had used them as bait to draw out Hikenato and once successful, brought a vicious assault upon the Yukikage, one that the brothers did not stay to watch but instead fled for their lives. However their escape was short lived. After two months of hiding in one of the large cities of the Fire Country, a messenger arrived with a short message for the two, 'Both return or one dies. You have three days.' Reluctant, the duo returned to their home country to find that Hatari's reign had become a tyranny and pure dictatorship. With the two once back in his palm, he closed the borders of the country to all foreigners and began the next phase of his plans. Taking Sorain away for personal training, Sai was sent to the Village Hidden in Sound to be personally trained by Hatari's close friend Nara Vaun. It was two years that Sai stayed in the man's sadistic and tortured hands, learning all forms of assassination, torture and information gathering. When he returned he found that his brother had fared no better, groomed and prepped to become Hatari's successor, Sorain had become hard and distant. Once reunited, the two were once off sent on mission after mission for what Hatari claimed to be the welfare of the world's safety. Dispatched all over to end or incite wars across a half dozen different territories, the brothers returned once again to attend the upcoming Chunin Exams in the land of Thunder. However, it was once again just another ploy by Hatari. During the exams, the brothers were instructed to cause strife with the shinobi of the Waterfall causing both Kage's to step in and surprisingly calm the situation. It was here that Sai was confronted with the man he had met all those years ago, the man that Hatari was dedicating his life to stopping, Wolf Kaizen. Sai never was able to complete the exam, before it he had the chance Hatari assigned him a new mission and set him off to the far reaches of the Sea Country. His Assignment: Assassinate and form a puppet government. By the time he had returned to his home country, he was immediately sent orders to return to Lightning to help calm the civil unrest that had brewed there. Once again, Hatari had instructed Sorain to incite the people's anger and with it a civil war broke out, one that with the help of Sai was brought back under control but only after the removal of the leaders of the organization that opposed Hatari's control in the country. After peace had settled across the land, Hatari vanished, leaving Sorain to take the lead of his operations in the Mist Village. Meanwhile Hatari had finally accomplished all that he needed to dismember the Akatsuki Organization and in turn form his own Koukon Organization with their resources. Sai as the puppet leader of Sea Country and the Right Hand of his brother Sorain, continued his dark path of enforcing his brother's reign. Within a few years, Sorain finished what Hatari had started in uniting as many territories under his control and with the power he had accumulated he intended strike out against the Alliance, the rivaling power under the shadow control of Nathan aka Shadow Mira (Wolf Kaizen). Their final ploy would be to assimilate the power of the Fire Country, who until now had stayed neutral in the power struggle. Together, the brothers traveled to the Leaf Village to confer with Rouhi Hitori and her attendant, Sai's only friend, Kingyosomaru. The conference quickly turned violent as Hitori's rage was incited by Sorain. The battle was one sided as Sai, against his brother's wishes, tried to calm the situation but as Kingyosomaru attempted to take Sorain's life, Sai quickly dispatched his friend to a nightmare filled coma before in turn slaying Hitori. Using his knowledge gained by Hatari's twisted teachings, Sorain sacrificed the listless Kingyosomaru to revive Hitori. Through stipulation, Hitori bitterly agreed to Sorain's terms and joined their numbers. It was a short lived victory as Wolf made his appearance on the battlefield. With an illusion, he turned Hitori against her own Village and Sorain, leaving Sai alone to confront him. It was a short lived battle and swiftly Sai, Sorain, and Hitori were all slain and the village was left in shambles. 20 Years Later, Sai found himself wondering the deserts of the Wind Country. His recollection of where had been, what he had done, and all that had transpired in his life was a faint whispering in his mind. Middle aged and tired, he traveled with his sole compaign, Vyrin Orasakai, the son of his brother who had raised as his own. In the coming years, the two would continue in doing the only thing he knew how... creating and ending wars. With Vyrin's likeliness to his fallen brother, Sai in his confusion had relied on the young man to act in his brother's stead, leading to Vyrin to at times assume the identity of Sorain to the world itself. It was during these times that Sai brought upon horrors to his home country, causing the village to have no choice but to press their military might against one of their legends. However the force that came was not enough and another slaughter ensued, one that left Sai in a daze as he relived the last moments of his friend's life. In a rage, he struck down Vyrin who had still assumed the guise of Sorain before leaving his body among the wreckage. Returning to the folds of the Mist Village under the guise of Saikoro Daisuke, he helped rebuild the nation to it's former glory. It would be another four years before his identity was revealed and he self imposed his own exile for the crimes he had committed. But with no other tools to live on, Sai found himself once again seeking wars, not to start but to end. It was in these wars that he was gravely injured and forced to retreat into reclusive territory in the Snow Country. There was tracked down and slain... only he has risen once again. They are a family known to many villages in the Rain, for their services that they have provided to the dead after a battle has passed. He grew up estranged from most other kids, due to the fact that he never went to any sort of school, nor did he train or play with other children. His parents kept him home to learn the arts of their family, and he watched and learned from them for years. His mother and father were experienced in ritualistic arts that connected the chakras with the souls of living and dead things alike. It allowed them to do amazing things. His mother was an incredible healer, aligning the patient's soul with their wounds, and weaving the energy of their own life through them to aid those in need. His father, a mighty defender of their ways, who could cut the very fabric of his enemy's life. But they were most of all, mere tenders to the dead. The country of Rain so closely bordering so many nations had it turn into a battleground, time and time again. They would walk amidst the aftermath, using their particular jutsu to allow the hatred of the souls to fade, so they could leave this world in peace. They would not become demons on their watch. Haikyo learned very quickly that he was not as gifted as his parents were. And they were very gentle with him on his failures. But he knew that they were, indeed, failures. He was slow to learn his family's way, and eventually his parents came to blame themselves for it. By the time he was in his late teens, he decided he wanted to join the Ninja Academy. He decided that if he could not learn the ways of his family...then he would be taught the arts of chakra from others. Perhaps then he would unlock the potential to use his family's line of skills.When he spoke of this to his parents, they told him that they wanted him to go to different country. To experience a different kind of life, away from what he had known. That perhaps this would allow him to succeed in his efforts. He had an aunt and uncle who were from a side of their family who lived in the Country of Fire. After a while of corresponding with them, eventually they set Haikyo up with a place there. It was a long, trying journey, but eventually he made it to his relatives in Fire country. So I have a request... and it's kind of unconventional compared to other stuff being submitted atm.... Basically I messed up on what character I want to play and would like to start over with a different concept. Averus spent many nights screaming in pain as his insides were either on fire, feeling like they were frozen, or if a poison burned in his veins. Sometimes he would be strapped down to keep himself from opening fresh wounds that had been sealed, laying motionless as tears would run down his face. Averus prayed to whomever would listen to release him from this torment, either freeing him from his father...or finally letting him die. Then the day came, his father was so excited. He had left for several days to obtain a rare artifact from a black market merchant, one he believed would be perfect for his experiments. Those few days he was gone was a blessing for Averus, but he knew it would last. When his father came in with a smile on his face, he shivered at the sight of it. He was strapped down to the table like usual, but this time he wasn’t knocked out with the drugs normally used. His father told him for the artifact to work, he needed to be conscious, and so he was injected with serums that would keep him awake, no matter the pain or shock he would feel. For the first time, Averus struggled harder than ever before. He didn’t know what the artifact was, but something felt off in the room, like the air was heavy with miasma, choking his lungs for air. His father started the experiment, using tools as he then began removing Averus’s left eye. He screamed, feeling the cold metal dig inside his skull and tear away his sight. He felt the warmth of his own blood pour around his cheek, taste the copper as it rolled onto his mouth. He was afraid, the pain was more than anything else he had felt before. Then he felt something be shoved into the hole where his sight was lost, and felt a scratching noise as it rolled a little around in there, as if being fitted perfectly to size. Then, there was a flash, and he felt something stab into his head, as if connecting to points of his brain. Each feeling felt like a tac was pressed into his forehead, several of them from how it felt. He didn’t even realize he had been screaming, sound feeling deafened from all the scratching. The next thing he knew, he could see again from his left eye. He tried to breath, air coming to him more easily. He turned his head, and realized he had been sitting up now. He looked around, all the pain having blinded him to whatever he had been doing before. In the corner of the lab he was in, tables had been crushed and broken syringes were all over the floor, and upon the northern wall was an impact...and there was a lot of blood. Averus looked to where the blood was from, and there hunched against a wall under the impact crater, was his father. The man he called father sat motionless, hunched forward slightly, and Averus could see why, as there was a gaping hole in his chest where his heart was, or at least, used to be. Averus didn’t scream or yell, as he felt nothing for the corpse that used to be his father. In fact, he felt utter relief, knowning he would not be subjected to the tortures he had endured for so long. He took another look around, and noticed the woman who he had been forced to call mother was also dead, having come in perhaps during whatever happened here. He soon escaped from the tunnels, and learned soon what the experiment had resulted in. His left eye looked normal, but his pupil was red now instead of green like the other, giving him mitch matched eyes. His skin had changed as well, giving him a ash gray color now. He thought he looked more like a monster than what he was before. Eventually, Shinobi from the Cloud Village arrived, and Averus led them to the laboratory his father had used for so many years. Though they were unsure what had happened, they concluded that whomever had dealt with the man and his assistant must have fled long before Averus was able to free himself. They took him back to the Village, where he was able to live in a orphanage till he was of age, where he then moved into a small apartment of his own. Eventually, he had been able to attend the Shinobi Academy, wanting to train himself so that he could leave the past behind. Quote: Takera and his brother Zeru were born on the outskirts of the Village Hidden in the Mist. Their mother carried no bloodline traits, however the father was that of the Uchiha. In the beginning few years, as a family, they lived in poverty, though they were all genuinely thankful for the house over their head and the food that they were able to grow and acquire through basic farming skills and bartering with those in the community around them. It was on Takera and Zeru's 10th birthdays when their relatively peaceful lives would be shattered. The boys' father was a rogue shinobi from the Village Hidden in the Leaves. Before he met their mother he had lived out his days spying in outlying nuetral lands and villages on behalf of The Leaf Village. On the day of the last assignment he would ever accept, their father found a beautiful woman with long silver-white hair. Going against the voices that urged him to remain distant for the sake of the mission, their father found himself wildly in love with this beautiful woman, growing closer and closer to her as the days passed. One day, closed to the end of his spying tour, he was informed of critical targets that were hand picked for elimination. Among the short stack of profiles was the beautiful woman's profile. It was then that he had to make a decision--His village, or the love of his life. Their father and mother fled that day--eloping across the country borders until they found themselves settled on the outskirts of the Hidden Mist Village. It was here the boys were born, and here that it all came apart as quickly as it formed. Shortly into the boys' 10th birthday, they arrived home to find that their mother had been brutally slain, blood splashed in an arc across the center table and wall behind it. Their father was no where to be found. The only clues that turned up were a trail of blood droplets that ended almost as quickly as it began. The hardship for the brothers became real, and the grieving process was a constant struggle for survival. The boys did anything they could to stay alive and keep any meager portions of food within reach. Then, one day, Zeru came rushing into the house with a flyer he had pulled from a local bulletin board. There were conflicts going on, and large rewards were being paid out to those who could carry out special mercenary missions. It wasn't long before Takera and Zeru discovered that the Hidden Mist Village was accepting students at their Ninja Academy. The two quickly enrolled not knowing what was to come. The two boys spent several weeks relentlessly pushing each other to the brink of exhaustion practicing everything from kunai throws to pinpointed chakra control. The two began to show a great deal of promise and it didn't go unnoticed. The boys were soon after recruited to join a large scale mission. They were immediately graduated from the Academy and awarded headbands with metal plates baring the symbol of the Mist Village. Takera and Zeru reached the port and boarded the vessel that would lead them to their goal for completing this mission. Little did they know, they were lambs being lead to the slaughter. The targets were shinobi gone rogue that harbored powerful beasts sealed inside them. They were also the most promising of the Mist Village's Genin. There were a handful of other Genin who would join Takera and Zeru on this mission, but ultimately things would turn sour. What was supposed to be a surprise attack wound up backfiring on the group as it was soon after learned that a member of the group had sold them out for acceptance into the targets' group. Despite putting up a considerable amount of fight, the group was ultimately subdued, however, it wasn't before a member seized the opportunity to decapitate the traitor in one fell swoop. The brothers, expecting to be killed were instead taken hostage. A mysterious member of the target group emerged and used a bewitching jutsu to take control of those left still alive on the battlefield. The Mist Village would eventually come to the conclusion that those who went after the targets met with an unfortunate end. Those who had lived would wish they hadn't as they spent the following weeks tortured and worked to the point of breaking. It wouldn't be long before the boys were sold off to the highest bidder as slaves. The two brothers were brought to an unknown small village on the border between the Land of Fire and Land of Sand. The brothers spent a good many years as slaves under an arrangement that they could buy back their freedom if they continued to work dedicatedly to the causes of their rich owner. They learned valuable bartering skills as well as trade skills in a variety of different daily duties. Finally, the night before the big day arrived. Takera and Zeru were 21 years old, and could officially drink. The very next day they would be free of their captor and could start building a life for themselves again. The two did their best to drink and be merry despite the misfortune that seemed to follow them everywhere they went. When Takera had awoken, he was not in the same place that he fell asleep. The sky was only just beginning to crack with light, and he was having a hard time of hearing what was going on around him. In a split moment his senses came back to him and he urgently attempted to lift himself off the ground, but he was met with horrible pain coursing through his back and, both legs, and his left shoulder. His arms and legs had been broken--smashed and beaten. He gasped unable to make a noise as he trembled in fear and pain. He slowly turned his weary head to try to see what was around him. His eyes grew wide, and a sense of terror creeped up his spine like none before. Something far more frightening than any of the torture, training, and servitude the two endured together. There beside him lay his brother Zeru, cold and pale. Takera feintly cried out for Zeru, but there was no response. With all the might left in his body, Takera was able to reach his brother's body, only to know upon contact that his worst fears had come to pass. His brother, and only other existing family had passed away. Takera began to break down in a way that no torture could have ever yielded from him. He kicked and thrashed and screamed bloody murder to his voice was streined and he began hack up blood. Tears streamed down his face steadily. His violent outburst had worsened things drastically. His body was breaking down faster than his mind and wounds were growing harsher by the second, blood begun to poor free from his legs, and everything was beginning to fade when a blur appeared before him. Takera's resting expression as the last of his strength depleted was one of damnation. A lost soul crushed under the weight of his own mental and physical burdens. A voice tried to reach out to Takera as he passed out, but his hearing had already been replaced by a steady empty ringing silence. A nearby man who had begun to hear Takera's violent outbursts came rushing to investigate, ducking behind a small tree at the edge of a small clearing with patches of short grass. In the distance, he spotted several bodies laying around. A disgusting smell of the rancid deceased blew over him. Takera's cries began to fade. The man covered his mouth with his sleeve-covered forearm and pressed forward quickly across the field. As he grew closer he began to inspect the corpses until he came across a couple laying in the center of the field. It was the brothers. It only took a glance for the man to understand the situation and the condition each of the boys were in. There was a puddle of blood beginning to form under Takera's legs, and Takera was fading quickly. The man found himself caught up in an internal debate of his options. If he were to act, he would need to do so quickly. It was possible that the boy already attracted unwanted attention, though no signs of others' presence were sensed. The man let out a sigh as a bead of sweat rolled down past his temple and onto his cheek. The option was clear, but it wasn't going to be easy. The man conjured up and molded an incredible level of chakra. His hands ignited with a fierce glow as chakra took physical form. The man placed both hands on Takera's back and a wave of chakra began to spill over Takera's broken shoulder. The chakra coursed over his entire body from head to toe. His wounds began to seal over, but he was already in critical condition. The man took a plastic tube and some accessories from his back and begun to rig his equipment for a very risky surgery. The man had filtered some of his own blood into Takera to stabilize him. There wasn't any time to find and confirm a suitable match. All he could do is hope that the two would be compatible to some extent. 1 Year Later Takera awoke from a deep sleep. His eyes slowly crept open. He winced at the morning light flowing into his room from the nearby window. Takera laid very silent in contemplation. As his eyes adjusted, he found himself staring aimlessly at the sealing. The urge to cry was overwhelming, but he long since reached a point where the tears would no longer flow. An aching void had taken a place in his heart in the wake of his brother's death. Weary, Takera sat up slowly, dragging and draping his legs over the edge of the bed where his feet met the cold wooden floor. The man had been sitting in the kitchen when he heard a noise from Takera's room. He peered up from his morning paper and set it down slowly on the table. The old man rose from his seat with his eyes locked on Takera's open doorway. The man moved towards the door slowly with curiosity as he peered around the edge of the door. There sat Takera--upright on the edge of the bed. The man was absolutely astonished. Takera's wounded bones had still been so severe after saving the blood fusion saved his life that the man began to believe Takera might never fully recover. Takera's physical condition was weak from continuous bed rest, but the man had worked Takera's leg, back, and arm muscles twice daily to keep his body from fully fading. Takera's eyes gazed up slowly from the floor to the man staring back at him from the hallway. His eyes and face carried a mostly hollow expression. After a brief moment of silence the man began to speak with Takera about his body and his injuries. Although Takera didn't speak, he still acknowledged the man's requests to move his legs and arms in various patterns. The critical damage to his knees/legs and shoulder were completely healed. 2 Years LaterTakera had spent the last two years of his life recooperating both physically and mentally. The man was more than ordinary and bestowed valuable medical skills to Takera, along with rigorous training intended to re-steady his mind and body. Takera had come to find that he now resided within the Cloud Village of the Lightning Country. By recommendation, he was adopted into the country and processed into their academy to confirm his abilities before advancing him further, but something wasn't right.
