This all makes sense to me. I wouldn't mind seeing the original cast around, even if they're only on support. =3

All I need now are your two cents on this development. Every opinion is important to me. biggrin Just wanted to ask what you think about the ideas I just said about Marta. Or if you've got something else in mind. O:

*gives a thumbs up* I like the idea. :3
Out of curiosity, would the Summon Spirits still be bounded to Sheena or are we still going with the idea with having certain peeps make a pact with them?

I...just remembered that being an issue. sweatdrop Of course, we still want something to do around here in Aselia, but logically the Spirits would still be bound to Sheena... sweatdrop Come to think of it, it might kind of sound like overkill to have both Summon Spirits and (later) Vanaheim Gods on people. But then again, the party getting into Vanaheim is still very far off...
In any case, how do you guys think we would free up the Spirits from Sheena? The group making a side mission to seek her out and ask if they could borrow them? Because, well, I'm sure everyone has too much on their plate to pick her up as a main. If we go this route, she could give her permission but not just hand them over that easily. She would tell the Spirits to go to their respective Temples, and the party to seek them out and challenge them to prove themselves worthy. That would still give us something to do.

Overall im indifferent, I just don't want too many characters in the main party, it tends to get way too confusing.

Agreed. But like...well, it's true that we kind of have "too many" as it stands, isn't it? Counting the ones in the current party...that's 13. It'll grow by the time some more mains come into play later. As much as I'd love to make Kratos become a main eventually, this makes me consider delegating him to just the support crew...
Lemme ask everyone, is it starting to feel hard to keep up?

@Azura: I could see that working, though I'm... not entirely sure how to do so at this moment... Hmm, rewrite the law of death... not exactly sure how to do that without changing Marta into something akin to a phoenix or the like.

Hmm, rewrite the law of death... not exactly sure how to do that without changing Marta into something akin to a phoenix or the like. I wouldn't exactly say rewrite the law of death. O: I would think it's more like...Marta and Emil soon hear about the prophecy from one of Lloyd's party, if not Lloyd himself, some time after they receive it. One of them gets the idea that maybe they should go visit Ratatosk (somehow) and tell him about this, and when they do, that's when they strike a deal, which involves extending their lives.
Changing into a phoenix sounds like an interesting turn, although I think that may not really fit. O:

One of them gets the idea that maybe they should go visit Ratatosk (somehow) and tell him about this, and when they do, that's when they strike a deal, which involves extending their lives. The send-them-to-their-temples idea could work. Perhaps she could do that and let them borrow them, but not necessarily actually summon them all the time. They could perhaps draw on their power for plot events and maybe to enhance/alter certain artes and whatnot. Nope. Richter's life was extended, right? Or was that just because of his half-elfiness?

The way I see it, people aren't actually gonna summon them all the time. Just...in battles that seem the most intense? Or when they need them for something that requires control of their element.
Here's a thought, maybe the party loses connection with them once they go to Vanaheim on the logic that their influence can't extend to a whole 'nother world. I'm thinking back to that skit where they theorized that the lack of gravity in space is due to Gnome's influence not reaching that high up.
I wouldn't be able to tell. Maybe it IS just his half-elfness.

Could Sheena summon things in Dawn? I don't remember her being able to...

Fedora Warrior Could Sheena summon things in Dawn? I don't remember her being able to... Gameplay-wise, no...but why would that matter? O_o If anything, she summoned Undine in the hotsprings scene, but that was offscreen. xd She still has pacts with them, doesn't she? And she'd continue to keep them for as long as she'll live?

Mithos used to have pacts with all of them, but he doesn't when you go get them. If Sheena couldn't summon them in-game it probably means she released them after the events of the first game. If that's the case, having her be alive is a complete non-issue.

If Sheena couldn't summon them in-game it probably means she released them after the events of the first game. If that's the case, having her be alive is a complete non-issue. Wait a minute... *checking game script* No, Mithos' pacts were still there, and it was only Volt who actively chose to break his pact. When the group went to go get Undine, that was where Sheena learned to request annulment of pacts.Quote: Undine: You who possess the right of the pact. I am one who is bound to Mithos. What is your name? Lloyd: Mithos? The hero of the Kharlan War? Genis: Not only was Mithos a swordsman, he had the ability to summon as well? Raine: Mithos is a common boy’s name. It’s not necessarily Mithos the Hero. Sheena: I am Sheena! I seek a pact with Undine! Undine: As things stand now…I cannot. Sheena: Wh…why?! Undine: I am already bound by a pact. I cannot form two pacts at the same time. Sheena: You mean your pact with that Mithos guy?… (Sheena faces Lloyd’s group.) Sheena: What am I supposed to do now?! They never said anything about this at the research institute! Lloyd: Um…hmm. Can’t you just get her to cancel the old pact? Sheena: How?! We don’t even have any idea where this Mithos person is! Kratos: A Summon Spirit pact requires a vow. As long as the pact-maker upholds that vow, the pact remains valid. Undine: …That is correct. Sheena: I know about that. The Summon Spirit approves the pact-maker’s vow and agrees to the pact. Kratos: Exactly. Therefore, all you need to do is follow Lloyd’s advice and request the annulment of the previous pact and form a new one. It’s possible the previous pact-maker has broken his vow. Or he may have…already passed away. Genis: Is it really that simple? Kratos: I suppose you could call it simple, but if the previous pact-maker is still alive and hasn’t broken his vow, then there’s nothing we can do about it. Sheena: Okay, I’ll give it a shot. (Sheena faces Undine.) Sheena: Undine! I am Sheena! I ask that thou annulst thy pact with Mithos, and establish a new pact…with me. Undine: Before I can allow the formation of a new pact, I must test your worthiness as a pact-maker. Draw your weapons. Raine may point out that Mithos is a common boy's name, but we do find out that Mithos was alive all along, didn't we?
