It might help if he were in a more public place--as is, he's in his dorm room, so it's unlikely that someone will just barge in.
Fortunately, the storm weather has kept most people inside this morning, so it shouldn't be too difficult to run into someone.
Something to note from reading your post: if your character is just arriving, the school year is already well underway, so it's very likely his dormmate has already been there for some time; there's always the option of them being late/not showing up as well, though. If you haven't already, maybe discuss that with Mizu.
Conveniently, we
do have another new character, Arcanus, so it might end up being that you don't have to worry about that.
Second side note: when it comes to roleplay-specific discussion, if you're trying to get people's attention, your best bet might be to post directly into that RP's discussion thread--which, for ease, you can find... uh...
