He hadn't been serious, but apparently she thought he had been. Shaking his head again he picked her up, taking her down to the ice cream truck and buying a vanillla one. Thanking the man he took her back to one of the benches, sitting on the top and setting her down in his lap before taking a lick of the ice cream. "Shift back and I'll let you try some."

Shilo shifted and held up her hands to his, pulling on it to bring it to her mouth.
Moya walked to the park after a while and found them sitting on the bench. She smiled and chuckled at how much sand was caked on her. She sat down next to Nik and kissed his cheek. "You two having fun?"

He smiled at her enthusiasm and pulled it back, turning in surprise when Moya kissed his cheek and kissing her back. He was definitely glad to see her there. "Except for one unfortunate accident with the swing, yes we are." Giving in he brought the ice cream down to Shilo so her mouth was in reach.

Shilo brought the ice-cream to her face and took a bite out of it. She got it all over her chin and lips, the cold shocking her and making her eyes go wide before going for it again.
Moya chuckled and watched Shilo, laughing a little more. "Well it looks like she had fun in the sandbox. What was she doing to get it all over her like that?"

"Pouncing and rolling while she had fur." Seeing her face he pulled the ice cream away, handing her off to Moya and pulling a napkin out of his pocket. He knew it would come in handy. Wiping her face off he crumbled it up and tossed it into the trash can next to him, turning back to them and taking a few licks of the ice cream before holding it up to Moya. "Try it."

While holding Shilo in one arm on her knee she took the ice cream from him and took a few licks, smiling. "This is good. What is this again?" She had a few more licks before holding it out for him to take it back.
Shilo held up her arms to the ice cream, wanting more.

He smiled as he took it back, seeing the look on Shilo's face and taking one more look before holding it up for her. He knew better than to tease a wolf. Especially a pup. "Vanilla ice cream. Plain but delicious."

Moya chuckled and watched Shilo for a bit, she was just so cute.
Shilo brought the ice cream back to her mouth and ate one side of the thing before pulling it away so she could have a breather. She had ice cream caked on her chin and cheeks, having a toothless smile and wide eyes in amazement.

"Well Shilo, you've succeeded on getting more ice cream on your face than in your mouth." Shaking his head he got up to get a paper towel, only to stop and smile. "I've got a better idea." Finishing the ice cream he pulled Moya and Shilo with him, leading them ten minutes away to a hidden lake with a few trees along the shore. The deepest part was way out, about ten feet out went to his waist. "Much faster." Stripping his jacket and his shirt he tossed his boots by the tree, going into the water until it was to his knees. "Hand me Shilo."

Moya chuckled and handed Shilo over, sitting at the edge of the lake. She took off her shoes and put her feet in the water, liking the feel of it on her feet.
Shilo looked down at the water then up at her dad, clinging to him any way possible, not wanting to get in the water.

"Easy there Shilo. We just need to get you cleaned up." Kneeling slightly he pulled one of the napkins out of his pocket and dipped it in the water, squeezing the water out and wiping Shilo's face before throwing it in the trashcan near Moya, standing again and holding Shilo so she was on his forearm. "See? That wasn't bad." Changing his mind he went farther out into the water so it was to his stomach, holding Shilo above his hip.

She clung to him as best she could and didn't like the feel of the water. She whined but didn't scream, not wanting to make her dad too mad.

Nik lifted her higher and moved her to his back, holding her up on his shoulders with her arms around his neck. "It's ok Shilo. You don't have to like it, I'm not going to get mad about it." Keeping her up he knelt in the water so it went to under his shoulders without touching her, closing his eyes. He loved the feel of the water, and if he didn't have Shilo he would probably be swimming.

Shilo looked down at her dad and found that he liked the water. She looked down at the water again and wiggled one hand free from her dad's grip. She reached down to the water, her head on top of his as she tried to touch it.

He felt her move and kept a hand on her, making sure she didn't fall. "Careful." But seeing that she was trying to touch the water he moved down a little more, still not touching her but getting her close enough that her hand could go in. "It feels really good, baby."
