Darilus stopped before a restaurant and looked at the sign. "The River Truth. This place has an interesting smell to it." Darilus said as he came up to the El Rio Verdad. He was not planning on coming here. Darilus changed up his hunting grounds regularly so if he ever drew the attention of the hunters they wouldn't track him down to his home through hunting circles. Little did Darilus know that there were others like him in this small city.
Darilus moved into the building following the fragrant smell that beckoned him.

Lucius smiled. "Its not too far, a few streets over from the apartment, and then one more block down on Helsman street." He told her. "A little bit of a walk but not too much." He said pleasantly. "Though if these clouds break into a storm, I could hail us a taxi." He added.
Zack looked up at the sky for a moment. "It'll hold off I think. It's grumbling a bit, but at think its just talk." He said jokingly.

Mara nodded, "If you wanted, the rain wouldn't bother me though." The vampire said. Looking at her companions she knew they may want the ride though. They were affected differently by the weather. "I do hope that it will hold off." Mara said for no other reason than personal hopes. She was finally outside, she didn't want to be confined in a car. "It doesn't sound far at all!" Mara exclaimed. "I can't wait to see it!"

"It's a really nice place. Lucius doesn't take me there much, but he did take me a couple years ago. It was great, but... well, lucky Lucius is one of the owners... I couldn't afford it." He said with a chuckle as they all walked. "And I like the rain... just not so much lightning." Zack admitted.
Lucius laughed. "Still that paranoid of getting hit by lightning, after all these years?" He teased. "With all the buildings in this town, its a wonder, people even know about lightning." Lucius quipped.

Mara looked at Zack with gentle eyes. "Does it scare you?" She asked softly and took his hand in hers. "Don't worry Zack, nothing will happen. I swear." She said squeezing his hand gently. Mara looked from one to the other. "Were you ever hit Zack?" She asked alarmed.

"No..." Zack said, shaking his head. "Nothing like that... its just one of my little quirks, I guess. I guess I can't help it. I'll get over it eventually I hope." Zack said with a nervous smile. Ugh... I sound so lame... He thought, slightly embarrassed.

Mara laughed softly, "No, not lame. it's a perfectly common fear." She said looking at the sky. "Do not worry Zack, the lightning will get me before it can you, okay? I promise." She said squeezing his hand in a friendly way again.

Lucius chuckled. "There's simply no reassuring you is there?" Lucius teased, bringing a sigh from Zack.

Mara shook her head, "Zack, my body is undead. I don't think lightning would to much to me." She said hugging him gently. "But even then I would rather not be shot with it, but me better than you." She said rubbing his fleshy pink hand.

Zack sighed. "That doesn't mean that I can't be concerned about it happening to you." He said with a nervous smile.
Lucius chuckled, "We're not to far away now." He told them. "Time certainly goes by quite quickly when your mind is on other things."

Miluiel nodded, "Yes that does." She hugged Zack warmly despite the cold of her body. "I thank you for your concern for me Zack, you are really something special." She was excited to make it to the restaurant, she wondered what she would see there.

Despite the physical coldness of Mara's body, Zack felt a warmth from her hug and smiled brightly. "Thank you. You make me feel comfortable." He told her happily.

Darilus was sitting at one of the tables watching over the patrons of the establishment. It was easy enough to get inside. A simple trick of the mind and suddenly it appeared he fit right in with everyone else regardless of him not actually eating food. He wasn't sure what the smell he took in before was but some new scents soon came to his nose as three people entered. At least one of them was a vampire but the other two...one smelled human but also not the same as them and the other had a smell of death on him but it was not the same as a vampire. Instead of leaving he found himself curious about the strange visitors to this restaurant that have arrived no more then a few scant minutes after he did. Was it a coincidence? Did they follow him here some how avoiding his senses and if so why show themselves now?

Mara smiled, feeling the warmth from him touching her stone like skin. "You make me feel very comfortable as well." She said hugging him a little tighter. Mara looked up at a sign on one of the buildings. "The River Truth." She read allowed. "This is your restaurant, isn't it?" She asked curiously as she walked towards the door. "I can already smell what is inside, and it is lovely."

"That's the one." Lucius said smiling and getting the door for the other two and holding it open. "As a piece of trivia for you two, the restaurant was originally supposed to be named 'The green river,' or 'El Rio Verde.' But the sign writer who only knew some Spanish, unintentionally mixed up 'verde' for 'verdad.'" He explained to them as he held the first door.
Zack chuckled "It does smell great, doesn't it?" He said cheefully as he went in and held the second set of doors for Mara and Lucius.
