Blah. That's what I figured... So, it's still just up to the baby to come when he decides... Why don't I have any say in this matter!! xD

I'd been hearing a lot about the "nesting" part of pregnancy. But I always thought it had to deal with people's personalities. I've never been someone who wished to really put down roots, or do participate in the proverbial "Molly Homemaker" type of life activities. So I really didn't think about it too much.
Now I find myself overly excited about sewing my baby's entire bedding set, making his baby book, finding a home so we can "put down roots", etc. And everyone has been "Aw look, she's nesting. That's so cute." stare
Although, on Friday my OB told me I have a Bladder and Kidney infection. They were testing me for toxemia, which thankfully I don't have, but found out I have that infection. The pain in my belly and lower back is horrible. But she said with the meds she prescribed that it should go away soon.
Doing a Pooh Bear theme was a tad more expensive than we thought, so we're doing a jungle theme instead which is just as cute. When I get the bedding set done I'll take a picture and post it.
Monkey, Wow, I felt very alone there for a while. Everyone kept telling me that Braxton Hicks contractions don't hurt. And so i thought for the longest time that maybe there was something wrong with the baby or me. Even WTEWYE tells you that they're painless contractions, and I'm like "Bull! You be in my body when I go through them!" So I did so research and found out that they do sometimes hurt, but I feel loads better knowing I'm not the only one that they hurt.

Ahah nesting, gotta love it when people state the obvious. Although for me, nesting was never those kind of things. I don't really do the sewing/decorating/anything girly thing. Surprisingly, hubby's been the one to get the baby's room all situated and decorated. I've been wanting to do some in depth cleaning and such and I joke I should charge for cleaning services and hire myself out.

And finally I'm back. Had a series a family problems come at me all at once but I think everything's back to normal for the rest of the pregnancy anyway. I am however experiencing a bit of the nesting everyone talks about later in pregnancy. xd

So i thought i was dying but turns out im just in pre-labor early labor... the contractions are strong and fairly regular but my cervix is being stubborn mad i was freaked out because isnt it too early! But they said he's about 7lbs and doing practice brething so even if he came today theyd give him more than 99% survival. When they said he was already 7 lbs i was like omg get it out! Cause they said with his rate of growth if he stays put for 5 more weeks ill have a 10 lbs baby..um no thanks! xd So now im walking and suffering praying for dialation or water break ..anything lmao! This happened last time though even after my water broke my cervix wouldnt budge and i had to be induced so im guessing were gonna do that again ..oh fun so im all depressed at the thought of this pain for 5 or more weeks gonk cause they wont induce till water rupture or due date. Anyone know how to speed up labor ninja So my total weight gain this pregnancy 15 lbs biggrin im so proud lol Nopenname hehe i kinda bombarded my NP with questions and since im having contractions and puked in their office thay finally gave me prilosec xd see people if they dont take you seriously start puking ..theyll give you anything lmao

^.^ I'd love to know it there's anything that speeds up labour too mOnKeY! I've been having contractions for a week, but they're all over the place with no sign of becoming regular. I've also been 2cm for a week, with no change... My due date's tomorrow, there must be some way to convince this baby to come out on time!! I'm starting to get moody with people who ask me if he's here yet, or if I'm in labour yet. I think it's compounding the stress I'm feeling about still being pregnant... What do you say to those people?... Stop asking?... Leave me alone? lol, I guess I could get away with blaming on the hormones...

Well, we went to our first childbirth prep class on thursday. I figured the first day would be a lot of introduction and atuff so I wasn't expecting a while lot; except one of the questions the instructor asked was "How many of you are definently having an epidural?" Everyone but me rasied their hand. Then she asked "How many of you are definently not having an epidural?" No one raised their hand. I tried to explain to her that it wasn't that I was or wasn't, I was planning on deciding whne time came. If I could handle labor and delivery without one than that's what I would do. Well, she goes ont to say that because the majority of the class is definently having n epidural that she wasn't going to bother teaching any relaxation or breathing techniques because we wouldn't need them.
Guess I don't count. I took this particular class because it was the only unbiased one in the list. There were 3: one for no epidural, one for epidurals, and one for those who were unsure. The class for the unsure ones was to teach all the aspects of both the other classes. I plan on calling the office tomorrow and asking what's going on. I'm paying money I don't have for this class so I can be taught. But because 90% of the class won't need it, I don't get taught? That's BS!!

That would be extreamley irratating! Why would so many people who decided to get an epi enroll in your class when there was one for them already?... I'd be mad too. Although I opted not to take a class at all because I've pretty much read the labour topic to death and don't feel like I'm going to get any more prepared than I already am. I can't get an epi at all because of the location of my tattoo... Hopefully I'm good at those relaxation methods! My due date's today!! Come on baby, let's not do this pregnancy thing any longer!

Heh, I did the same thing Puncture. I didn't take the classes the first time and I don't think I will this time. Although I don't think we had to pay for the classes since we were military and I know that they are supposed to be informative.
I'd just call and let them know your complaints and concerns, especially since you paid for it. There should be free classes (I'm surprised to hear that any facility would charge for them), check out other hospitals, birthing facilities, even the YMCA sometimes has them.
Monkey, I hope the Prilosec helps! Although I will say that the guesstimates they give you on baby's size can be really off sometimes. I know they told my friend she was having a 7 lb baby and she ended up with a 9! And I've heard the other way too! Come on babies, get that labor going! xd

Well, I looked around my area, and from what I can tell from my research is that all the classes around here cost money. I haven't found one yet that doesn't.
But I did call and talk to the head honcho about what happened in class and she's all eek "She's not supposed to do that. I don't care who's taking the class, you stick to the curriculum so that everyone benefits from what they're being taught". So she's going to talk to the instrcutor and find out what's going on. She also told me that if the instructor wouldn't work the way she was supposed to, she would be in a different class regardless of price.
I have my next appointment in about an hour, so I'll probably get on later tonight or tomorrow with an update.

woohoo well i figure i'll do a teeny update on this pregnancy of mine. I'm about to fall over from the pressure it's insane. Well my doctor has told me that if I don't go into labor on my own this week that monday I will be induced. He didn't want me going overdue at all with the knowledge of me being petite and having a hard time with the first one pushing him out, and needing the vacuum to help pull him out. So, if I don't have little boy by Monday it's off I go to the hospital to start my pitocin drip ... and i'm not sure i'm looking forward to it at all!..
so keep me in your thoughts lol razz

I hope everything goes well Tedyra! Can't wait to see pics of the wee one!
I've been doing pretty good. I babysat my friend's baby yesterday and a couple of her kids. Man, I think it really shook me up and I had those panicked thoughts about "Can I do this again??" I got my final preggo pics taken with Logan, I can't wait to see all of those and then with Liam in them! I'm hoping to get hit with some energy so I can get motivated and go on a huge cleaning spree, but hasn't happened unfortunately yet. Still getting evil crotch pain though. xd

We watched those wonderful "birth" videos during our second class.........I was perfectly accepting of the pain and torment I'd go through for birth, I could logically accept it.......SEEING it is a whole different thing. Now I'm just scared spitless. I think its more the fear of the unknown, but hell, I nearly passed out from the video just watching the babies be born.......but that might have just been from seeing all the blood and stuff. I handle fake blood and my own blood really well; but if its someone else's you might as well just lay a blanket over me right then and there cuz I'll be down for the count.
Part of me now wishes I hadn't taken the birthing class; not because I'm not learning anything but more because everything seems so..........THERE. Ya know?? I felt much more prepared for everything before the birthing class and getting hit with all the videos and such.
Everything with the baby is going just "perfectly" says my OB. His heart rate is about 138. And she estimates him being about 4lbs and a little over 15 inches. But we won't know for sure till our ultrasound next month.

gonk stupid prodormal labor gonk i was in the hospital last night i have strong regular contractions every 4 minutes.. but its barely moving my stubborn cervix. They wouldnt let me leave because i was my BP was sky high sweatdrop but it went down. So when they let me FINALLY go home i was about 2 and a half cms and 50% effaced. Theyre like come back when you think its doing something.... how would i know if my cervix was moving o.O;; soo now im just here ...and stuff lol. I want this baby out lmao!!!! LUNA_ I know the feeling. I had my friends daughter she's about 4 months old but only weighs 12 lbs. She seems so tiny. I went to hold her and i actually got all nervous. Then i was like ..wait how am i gonna take care of a newborn again when i feel like im gonna break her xd Aww i bet the pics are cute. I however have steered clear of the camers the only pregnant pics of me are from the wedding and a bit of video from easter but those are kept in a box out of sight lol. PUNCTURE & Tedyra good luck! can't wait to hear all about it and see pics! Hikari -dont feel bad im the same way with blood. The doctors asked me if i wanted a mirror to watch the birth this go around i was like "if you want me to pass out lol". Those birth videos are scary. So are the classes going better now then?
