Stae buzzed in appriciation and started scurring over the aircraft. There was a large storage closet in the basement of the ship with an extra cot. Not wanting to make a big deal, Zee had decided to rest there so no one would get upset wih him. Stae lead the girl to the door and pointed at it, buzzing softly.

Penelope followed the spider through the ship. It led her to a closet and she stopped at the door. She raised a hand to knock, then decided against it and simply opened the door.

"Anyone in here?" There was a man on a cot in the corner, asleep. "Um...sir? Sir, wake up." She shook his shoulder to wake him. "Wake up, I brought you lunch."

Zee sat up and blushed. He was embarrased. His stomach growled loudly, whichonly made him more shy. "Thank you, ma'am. If you need help in the kitchen, i'll be glad to wash dishes or cook to pay for my meal." Stae scrambled quickly up to Zee and hide under him, feeling Zee's embarrasment as he took the food.

[engine room]
tucking the note into one of his concealed pockets, Daniel seeks out a large enough crate to hold the clanks bits. Finding one he carefully puts all the parts from the two damaged robots inside. checking for any loose parts still on the floor and finding none aside from the oil stains on the floors.

Daniel heads to the captains cabin with the crate. if there was something wrong with these two (and he hoped it was only these two) then he didn't want them being fixed by the other clanks and causing problems. A whistling sound marked the entrance of the little clockwork teapot. Smiling Dan let the thing climb up to his shoulder. Dropping off the crate Daniel steps out into the hallway to see a strange sight, but not all that strange for this ship.

Penelope was waling with a plate of food and staring at the ground. Following her line of sight Daniel notices the mechanical spider that had been with the new man they had rescued. He falls in behind Penelope at a respectful distance, hoping to find the man from earlier. when he had tried to introduce himself, the other man had walked off.

Coming up to the closet door where Zee had set himself up Daniel calls, "Now this is a funny place to set up a bed. You are more than welcome to on e of the cabins until we reach port." Checking his chronometer Daniel shakes his head. "time just slips away here doesn't it? well air combat will do that. I'm sorry, I'm Captain Daniel and this is my ship the Khaos."

Talon had, had a dozy of a climb back up. She had bade it half way when her reals grip slipped and she was sent back to the end of the line having to start over. When she finally got to the back of the ship she lay on the ground panting, her arms throbbing.
She stood after a wile and went to the hatch unclipped the safety line and climbed down into the engine room. She leaned on the ladder her arms hanging limp at her sides. "Hey Daniel." She looked at the others then back to him. "I got stuck hanging off the side of the ship. I vote the next time we get up-grades to spring for a mortised reel." She said still breathing a little heavy.

[Hall closet?]

"No matter. It's my job to make sure everyone on this ship is fed." she smiled and handed him the plate. "I'm Penelope, by the by."

Penelope watched the spider hide under the man. She couldn't understand why, it seemed perfectly friendly when they were in the galley. Kneeling to see it, she reached out to pet it. "What's the matter, spider? Why are you shy all of a sudden?"

[Closet.]

Zee twtiched when Penelope touched Stae. The spider buzzed nervously and scurries to hide behind Zee. "Eh... We're not avery social person." Zee cough, realizing he had used the singular. They were, in essence, the same soul, just different beings. "He only puts himself out there if I'm in pain. He's a friendly guy, really. We both are. We just get... nervous easily." Zee reached forward and ate a big fork full of food, groaning happily as he swallowed it. "This is delicious, Penelope." Stae poked his body around Zee, feeling better that they were both fed.

Penelope quickly withdrew her hand. It had not occured to her that either one of them were not used to being around people. She blushed slightly at her mistake. It was a stupid assumption, something her grandfather warned her again and again to avoid. "Oh..." The compliment to her cooking that followed caught her off guard. Her slight blush turned darker and she stared at the floor, suddenly bashful. "Thanks..."

[Cannon Compartment-Deck]

he had lost his energy, his healing wounds sore his eyes going cross he made his way out of the compartment to the deck where he wouldl ook off the front of it in silence and slowly drift off into sleep, standing leaning against the railing he was asleep.

Zee hadn't meant to upset the girl. Physical contact was still new to him, and when someone touched Stae, Zee felt it. "No worries, Pen." Zee said, offering the girl a smile as he finished off the food. He really had been hungry! Zee stood up, feeling as if he should comfort the girl. "How long you been on the craft, if you don't mine me imploring." Zee said, leaning against a wall.

((Random question but I'm ocd about these things and I can't recall anything pointing one way or another. What's the weather? Is it fall? Winter? I'm going to assume the upper decks would be cool, especially while in flight (read as "excuse for Chey to indulge in her love of scarves and winter attire"), but I was just wondering for future reference what the season is.))

{Medbay, soon to travel to the deck}

The room had cleared as quickly as it had filled. Just as well, Abigail fulfilled her usefulness and with the recent turn of events being a mechanical one she felt it would be best if she were out of the way for a while so as not to step on anyone's toes.

Turning, Abigail was met with a rather gruesome sight. The body remained in the corner of the room and the entire area surrounding was in complete disarray- not to mention the bloody tables, sheets, and bed.

Abigail closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose, grumbling under her breath. The room would begin to foul but Abigail was in no mood to clean the mess by herself and in all honesty she wasn't sure she would be able to move the dead weight of a man at least half her size. With an admittedly snobbish attitude she decided to leave and hope that maintenance clanks would be making rounds. Surely the medbay wasn't the only damaged room on ship.

Shrugging into her coat again, she rummaged her scarf from the pocket and wrapped it around her neck. She noticed an unusual lightness in the opposite pocket and was reminded of her pistol's absence. It seemed to have gone untouched during the battle, not having been moved from the same counter spot she'd thrown her coat on. That was a relief. The familiar weight was comforting though she hoped she would not need it for some time now. Her feet seemed to move quicker than usual, perhaps the numb of her mind was fading; a piece of her was remembering the look on the man's face as his forehead exploded in a bloody rain across her own horrified face and was all too eager to get her away from the macabre and into fresh air.

--

The wind hit her face sharply and bit her nose, lips, and ears, but even that was a blessing. The ice she felt on her skin was shattered by nature's own chill and replaced the psychological numb with a pleasing physical numb. Breathing in the cold rushing wind, Abigail walked to the railing and leaned slightly over. Curls whipping about madly in the air and glasses balancing expertly on her nose, she smiled and slunk down to rest on her elbows, closing her eyes and enjoying utterly irrelevant thoughts.

{Galley}

With everyone gone, Emelia happily went back to her lunch of breakfast and her sketching. She moved over to a different side of the table to get a different angle. She made notes as she sketched, trying to understand how the clank worked.

It wasn't her area of expertise, she could repair by following blueprints or looking at a model that was in good shape. But no harm in trying, right? She poked her fork at her plate, looking for more food, only to discover it to be empty. Emelia got up and placed her dishes on the counter, unsure what to do with them, before going back to work.

Penelope stood as well, grinning at the use of her nickname. Her blush had faded and she had almost forgotten why she was a little upset to begin with. She put one hand in her pocket and rested the other on the handle of the knife in her belt. "Not very long, actually. The whole crew is new to the ship, except for Mr Daniel and Mr Eli." she paused and her brow furrowed for a moment as she thought. "Did I ever learn your name?"
