Moria caught up quickly with Link, then pushed ahead. She seemed determine to press forward, and as such was the first to the door, which she violently pushed open. It revealed a large courtyard, complete with a little stream, vines growing up the walls, and a well on the far side of the stream. Some of the vines, however, were inhabited by spiders practically as big as Moria, and some of the plants on the ground looked awfully large and suspicious. Moria paid no attention to this, pushing onward towards the bridge across the stream.

Several things happened at once. First, one of the suspicious looking plants suddenly extended, revealing itself to have a fine set of teeth and a quite moderate range. Second and third, two odd creatures popped up from the stream, both leaping into the air and spitting rocks with extraordinary speed. One rock glanced off of the top of Moria's skull; the other planted solidly in her stomach, and she collapsed backwards, towards the plant.

(this seems awfully like the real forest temple, you do know you can alter it right? Oh and Ele, since seirra quit, mind taking over Sofia again, or should we assume that they somehow made it, seirra set it up to awkwardly)

Distracted by the Princess, Link found himself unable to react in time to protect the girl. She seemed to be in some real danger and could tell if something was not done soon to draw their attention away, the Kokiri could be seriously injured, "Hey, you over here," He yelled at the ortocks, as he attached his ancestor's shield to his right arm.

((I'm aware it can be changed. I'm just setting you up.))

The two Octoroks, for so they were, swiveled in the water, both violently spitting rocks just as quickly as they could. They smashed into Link's shield, then oddly bounced back with just as much force. Each received its own rock to the face, and sunk back into the creek.

That was not the end of their issues, though; the plant (I can't remember the stinkin' name.) had struck, sinking its teeth into Moria's right shoulder. With a cry, she tried to pull it off, but it wasn't working, and she was about to go for her sword when it picked her up and slammed her back to the ground with some force, winding her and sending the half-drawn blade flying away.

(me neither XD)

Link had very little time to bask in the glow of his victory as a large plant chomped down on the kokiri girl. 'Perhaps I should have left her behind.' Link thought for a moment, noticing that the girl seemed to be fairly accident prone. Seeing that the girl's weapon had flow out of her hand, Link knew that it was up to him to defeat this thing. The monster's long green stem was left exposed as it bit into the girl and so it was not difficult to slice through, seperating the beast from it's roots. A moment later it disappeared, but still Link did not smile. "Let's keep going, weeds tend to have a nasty habit of growing back."

Zelda shot Link a quick look that may or may not have been reproachful and moved to help the other girl. "Are you alright?" she asked, checking Moira's shoulder. The wound didn't seem too deep, so she carefully helped her to her feet. "Next time try not to rush into an unsecured area like that." She sent the younger girl a reassuring smile to soften the rebuke, then turned back to Link. That odd flash of undefined emotion flitted across her face again, so quickly it was possible to pretend it had never been there at all. "So, what now?" she inquired, her tone just a shade cooler.

(( I don't mind taking over at all. ... Erm... Do either one of you remember what page she left off on or what she was doing?))

Link searched around the room. Nearby, vines seemed to climb up the wall. They seemed strong enough to hold a grown hylian, however he doubted many would want to climb with the nasty looking spiders crawling withing, "Zelda, that wear on you gave me, do you think it's range is long enough to hit those?"

Zelda shook her head. " I don't think it's range is longer than 30 feet," she replied slowly, "Don't you have anything else to-" Suddenly she blinked, then dropped and began digging through her saddlebag. After a moment, she came back up; clutched in her fist was a small wooden slingshot. She stood, holding it out for him to take. "You can use pumpkin seeds," she said quietly, "That's what I used when I was small." She had wondered, when she'd first dug through her supplies, why the Sheikah boy had packed something as useless as a child's slingshot; now she couldn't quite suppress an involuntary shudder.

"If you think that will help," Link replied, a skeptical tone in his voice. Link took the slingshot and seeds from the girl's hand and pulled back on the rubberband, loading on a seed. Carefully, he held the seed close to his eyes and lined it up with the center of the slingshot and the spider. The first few shots were admittedly off center, hitting several feet away from thier target, but after a little practice, he managed to shoot down the nearby spider.

Moria sighed. Zelda was right; she'd let the guy take the fall this time. Right behind them she came. "I guess our best hope is up the vines," she said, rubbing her shoulder and gripping the vines, waiting for Link to take the lead.

Link nodded as he took out the last of the spiders with the sing shot, only three seeds remaining in his hand. "Yes I suppose you're right, I'll go up first to make sure it's safe," the farmboy decided, grabbing a hold of the vines. Hand over hand he grabbed at the vines, quickly making his way up the wall.

At the top of the vines was a balcony. There were two doors, one painted red, the other painted blue. There was no obvious reason for this; that was just the way it was. The red one, however, had apparently been used recently, because no vines grew across it like on the blue one. It almost seemed inviting, for once.

Moria caught up with Link. "Well, I guess we go through one," she said, catching her breath.

Zelda climbed up last, breathing hard from the effort of lugging her pack up after her. She took one look at the doors and said "The blue one." The idea of inviting in this place was a bad one. After all, they had been expected, that much had been obvious from... the forest spirit's reception.

His hand was on his chin as his eyes shifted from one door to the other. "I ain't so sure, what would that man be doing behind an unused door," Link reasoned. But still, as Link grasped the nob, he could not hgelp but turn back, "Moira, what do you think?"

Moria stared at it. And she did stare, and think, and think, and stare. A ten seconds passed before she finally said, "I think we should go blue. It would be like him to pull such a trick." Then she stopped. "No. No. Go red. That's not him."

"But it's not him," Zelda replied, her voice harsher than she'd intended. She was immediately ashamed of her tone, her eyes dipping down to find the ground, but when she spoke again, he voice was filled with quiet certainty. "You may be right about the door; I'm not used to this sort of thing. That said, basing decisions on the belief that you know our opponent will get us killed." Her cool blue eyes flicked up again, meeting Link's. "It's your call, Hero of Time."
