Siber's smell-a-ma-jig worked surprisingly well. Already Paul could see better; the encroaching darkness had largely departed, and there was a little more energy in his body. His mind itself had pulled itself together, and was strongly debating trying to get up. But the medical staff would never let him; he was still hurt. The injuries probably weren't too bad, and with magic, they'd heal pretty darned quick, but he was still hurt, and it wouldn't be instant. If anything happened, well... Paul would be in a spot of trouble. Thank goodness that Alan and Josh were about.

Siber suddenly stopped juggling and for no given reason, held a moment of silence. During the one minute stretch of time, he felt a trickle of warmth make its way down his cheek from one eye and, wiping it off, found a tear. Something of unbearable sadness had happened, he knew. He didn't need to be an empath to feel it.

Joe walked down the alley, keeping an eye out in case of Legion's minions returning.
What?
Joe shrugged and kept looking around. He seemed to be the only one that had escaped being horribly and critically injured. After a few minutes he decided to go and meet the leaders of the Warlock Hunters. He walked down the alley to where Josh and Alan were talking amongst themselves. He waited a respectful distance away to be acknowledged.

A certain familiar man with a so not conspicuous tennis racket bag stepped out from the Dumpster. He joined the hushed conversation with Alan and Josh, who had taken his glasses off and seemed to be nervously rubbing them with a cloth. He and Josh walked out of the alley and disappeared after a quick talk with the gun-toting guards.
Alan sealed the Dumpster-gate and glanced around.
"Joe, Siber, you're going with the two gunners to the TV Station now," Alan informed them. "Josh and Sam are heading there now. I'm going to help with Paul and we'll follow after."
~~
Pull back, for you will fall soon otherwise, Legion's multitude of voices commanded Aurelie. A swing with a literally immeasurable amount of force (but relatively little speed, despite the rate of approach by her assailant) threw her across the room before she could react. She sank into the shadow of a desk, finding herself suddenly upstairs beside Chaos and Takeshi. Legion's zombies were fiddling with equipment Legion evidently wasn't quite sure how to use.
~~
Josh and Sam entered the TV Station.
"We wait for the others!" Josh called to Alex and Kayla before they could head into the elevator. Alex turned around.
"How'd you get here so fast?" he asked Josh.
"Magic. We use it." Alex rolled his eyes at Josh's response as the elevator closed behind him.
~~
Minutes later, Paul's healing had been finished, a task only possible in such a short time with a full team of medics.
"Let's go," Alan immediately muttered, and they sank into the shadows.
~~
"All here, let's head on up," Josh declared as Alan emerged from beneath a table with Paul.
The elevator gave a ding as it opened, and the Hunters stepped in.

The feeling of being made well from a bullet to the stomach in any period less than a good month was indescribably pleasant. Hopefully there would be no good reason to do that again, though, because the feeling better wasn't worth the getting shot.
As he and Alan emerged from under the table, Paul grabbed his weapons. There was sure to be action here, and Paul wanted to be well prepared for it. Very, very, very well prepared.
Oh, great. I get shot and then go to fight Legion.
Yeah, you should try some motivation. It's good for you.
Yeah, shuddap, kid.

Joe nodded, deciding it would be better to follow their orders and introduce himself to them later. He turned and tapped Siber on the shoulder. "Just like old times, eh?" He turned to the elevator door, mentally checking to make sure he was ready to fight. He had plenty of energy left, and he wasn't wounded. Joe decided that he would use a bit of energy to protect Siber, just to make sure he was OK after that last fight.

Chaos landed lightly onthe balls of her feet, lowering into a crouch and looking around, hands on her guns to be safe as she was tumbled out of the shadow into the station room. Seeing she was with Legion and Takeshi made her relax slightly, so she stood and walked over to them. Looking around the room at the zombies who seemed to be pushing random buttons more than anything, she become slightly worried. She saw the other female she had noticed earlier thrown into the room at a roll through shadow, and resisted the urge to wince in sympathy. She looked like she had just been hit by a mac truck, a big supernatural mac truck. That had to mean the hunters were here. And she bet she knew which one did that. "If you tell me what you need to be doing, I am sure I can help if need be Sir. I studied technology pretty extensively in training..", she said to Legion, her eyes on the zombies at the controls.

((assassinatrix, your sig scares me xd Venom, I'm having the same trouble as tic_tac_joe; I hope I'm in the right place))
Siber fingered his necklace gingerly, remembering the void. Leviathan had quite perfunctorily saved him from it that once and then never spoken to him again. A good creature, certainly, but as with many dæmons, decidedly erratic.
Siber gave pause.
Siber began to get heated in the argument. Sure, he tried not to care too much about other people, but that was because people were a fickle and stupid bunch. Dæmons and any other spirits were part of a totally different paradigm and deserved all the respect of which no human had ever been worthy.
Joe's words and touch brought him back to reality. He gave a lop-sided half-grin in response. "Yeah, if a week ago still counts as 'old times,' he jibed good-naturedly. Keldan was still arguing.
he hissed. NOT human beings!!> Here, Keldan sounded almost frantic, almost cautionary. But it came far too suddenly to have been real; he must have fabricated the tone he used. Siber let that echo for a moment before closing the debate. Since it had been completely mental, it had taken maybe thirty seconds total.

((All hunters are (soon to be were) in the elevator. All Legionaries (har, har) are in the control room.))
"That would be most appreciated, Chaos, though why you'd be familiar with the technology of a newsroom is a strange question at best. Oh, and allow me to delay our guests," Legion rambled.
~~
"Son of a b***h," Alan muttered as the elevator came to a sudden stop but didn't open. "Gonna open that?" he asked Josh. Josh shook his head.
"He's not actually attacking us, just keeping us back. We'll take the time to repair Siber's lung, because I'm going to need to be at the top of my game if we're going to face Legion."
~~
With timing that seemed to imply an outside supernatural influence, beyond even that of Legion, the medics backed off from Siber as the elevator opened with a gentle ding, revealing a very large number of zombies just outside. <********!" Sam yelled, swinging his sword/tennis racket case at the first zombie, the sword leaving the case at the end by a clean cut. "Fight to the stairs!"
Luckily, as most buildings were designed, the stairs were next to the elevator-
But suddenly they weren't. Blinking, Alan muttered a curse as a voice boomed out.
"Greetings, peoples of the planet Earth. I am Legion, and I am the Soon-To-Be Emperor of this world."
