Lyra Tyr Cara was glad she hadn't drunk her own container of blood yet, or she would have choked on it while trying to laugh, "Dorien is...powerful at least. When you meet him, you'll understand why that's a hard question to answer." Othello suppressed a slight shudder. The tone Cara used made it seem like Dorien really wasn't all that good, as far as their cause was concerned. "Alright, I'll take your word for it."

Ranier glared at the newcomer, "Idiot." He murmered under his breath.
Aster smiled good naturedly, "Yes, it is rather odd." He replied. He touched her shoulder and they disappeared. They reappeared above another city, this one was a bit bigger than Signet and wasn't being threatened by tornadoes. He lowered them in front of a night club, "Vamps seem to be very successful at running clubs. This one is a strip club so please don't be alarmed when we go in." When they entered, Augustine was just leaving the stage, leaving a rather skanitily clad man on stage tied to an odd looking chair. The old vamp noticed the moment he came in and he met Aster's eyes then turned and left the main club area, "This way." He jerked his head to
They met the vampire in his office. Augustine was a startling tall man with an equally startling main of golden hair. It was presently tied at the nape of his neck. Cold aquamarine eyes regarded them both. He nodded to Aster, "It has been awhile, mon ami." He greeted in an accented voice.
Aster bowed, "Augustine, I'm sorry to bother you on such a busy night."
"Non, non. It only looks busy, the women are jumping around so much thta the room looks far more crowded than it actually is. What is it I can do for you, eh?" He asked, his gaze flickering to Kanna.
Aster smiled and moved aside a bit, "Kanna, this is Augustine. Master Vampire of Wayfield City."
Augustine nodded to Kanna, "Ma cherie, a pleasure." He offered her a smile that did not reach his eyes Aster, waiting.
"I didn't want to go straight to Contessa without consulting you. I think you would have taken it as an insult."
"Oui, unless you are paying her."
Aster smiled, "Not with money no, but I presume she'll want a favor in return. Or you, maybe?"
Augustine smiled again, his fangs had run out slightly and something flashed behind his eyes, "Oui mon ami, that would be nice. A favor. I shall call you the usual way?"
Aster smiled and nodded, "But, of course." he replied with another bow.
"Kanna, was it? What an interesting mix you are, ma cherie. However did you obtain such a fleur?" This directed at Aster, though he was giving Kanna an unsettlingly intense look over.
Aster smiled, "No one 'obtains' Kanna. The most I can hope for at this point in time is that she does not mind my company."

Dorien turned comepletely, facing him in almost amusement, "I am Dorien, one of the Ten." he said, grinning at Ranier's statement.
--
Cara tapped his shoulder before she sat down, "Dorien really isn't that bad...to people he can tolerate anyway. As long as you stay on his so-called 'good side', you'll be alright."

An'ari grinned, closing his hand over the arrow as if the Nether-Dorien just signed his soul away, "Excellent..." he said after a moment, his pale blue eyes turning to Troden, "Let's go Troden. We have a city to conquer."
Troden's red eyes lowered slightly before a slow grin appeared on his face. How so alike they...such an unlucky thing for his son.
[lol Augustine is awesome!]
Kanna bowed in return, her fans opened only slightly she was taught, showing a sense of grace but with the edge of an obvious warrior's style but she did not smile back nor did she reply to their statements. She didn't understand why Aster was interested in her and even less why this Augustine person was staring at her so.
Her grip on her fans loosened, her fingers dangling over the edges of blades, something neither a good or bad sign.

((Augustine and this Contessa remind me dreadfully of the Anita Blake novels... wink ))
As the men rushed out the power signature managed to wash over Kiran. She shuddered, feeling lighter and more graceful, but also frightened by the very intensity. That alone...she would remain within the base unless otherwise called, knowing that she would be of little use against someone so powerful.
Steeling herself against the influence of the power she moved towards the training area idly.

((Aw, busted! xd ))
Augsustine laughed abruptly, "I did not mean to slight you, ma cherie. Go on you two, I have a business to run." He waved at them dismissively.
Aster led Kanna out of the office and down the hall to a different part of the club. Contessa was on her cellphone with someone in one of the sitting rooms in the back. She glanced up, grinned then returned to her conversation, ending it.
Contessa had a mane of wild red hair, which was pinned back and somehow tamed into a ponytail, "Well look what the cat dragged in!" She stood and shook Aster's hand, glancing at Kanna, "Or should I say wolf?" she raised a coppery brow, her intense green eyes flickering over Kanna before she smiled, "What do you want this time, Aster."
He would have wasted some time joking with her but this was urgent and she told her as much after introducing the women quickly, watching her expression shift to a solemn one when Aster explained what needed to be done.
"You know where the body is?" She asked.
Aster looked at Kanna, "Kanna?"

"From the direction Dorien and Ranier were taking, I am more than sure it is within the Leader's resting place. If not, the spiritual energy emitted rfom such a body would be all too easy to follow." Kanna replied, her own eyes looking the Contessa over. These people are very...strange.

Aster frowned at that, it was going to get crowded at Dorien's resting place very soon. He was worried, if Kanna's father was there...."Kanna....if you go near your father...." He wasn't at all sure how to finish that comment.
Contessa recognized that as odd, "I've never seen you at a loss for words, Aster. What's going on?"

Kanna frowned, her eyes now ice cold, "What about my father?" As all of the siblings, each had a unique reaction when An'ari's name was brought up. Tien and hatred, Tara fear, Troden respect and Kanna...no one really knew how she felt about him.

Contessa subsided into silence, waiting. She'd ask Aster later.
Aster watched her carefully, "I'm afraid what will happen. Dorien and King Ranier mentioned that An'ari was most likely in Dorien's resting place..." He left that comment open ended as well.
King Ranier? She vaguely remembered Aster sometimes mentioning the King but she'd never met him, she didn't even know what he looked like.

"An'ari wouldn't be in the same place that would soon contain such powerful beings," Kanna said, keeping her voice as cold as her stare, "Not when he isn't whole." she then turned around and began to walk out the door, "If we are going to leave then the time is now." The door closed with a definte lick after she left, abruptly ending the conversation.
She knew very well that An'ari was long gone from that place. The most they would get from him is his fading presence. It was how he always worked, slipping away just when you thought he was a dead man and doing anything to get his way.
A true Sulla to the end... she thought with a low growl.

Aster sighed and looked at Contessa, doing a double take, then sighed again, rubbing his temples, "I'll explain later." He said finally.
"Good." Contessa moved past him and left as well but left the door open for Aster.
He followed reluctantly catching up with both women outside the club, "Hold on ladies." He reached for both of them, touching their shoulders and they appeared above Signet.
Contessa was wriggling, excited, "It always blows me away when you do this. None of our people can do anything close to this!" She grinned over at Aster.
Aster nodded, "Augustine is probably preening. I owe him a favor." He commented.
She gave him a questioning look.
"I'm surprised you didn't ask me for a favor."
Contessa snorted, "The fact that I get to practice this new technique is payment enough....and the fact that I'm flying without an airplane too." She smirked.
Aster nodded and took off. He'd let go of Kanna, she could fly on her own but kept his gentle grip on Contessa. They appeared above Dorien's resting place, "Here we are."

Kanna landed lightly on the ground below and already was walking inside, her fans open completely and ready for an attack. This proved to be unnecessary for as Kanna thought, An'ari was nowhere in sight.
She slowly closed the fans as she came upon the two bodies of Dorien, still locked in the stances they had once they died.
The frozen warriors... Kanna thought as she waited for the others to come.

Aster and Contessa followed behind. Contessa stopped in astonishment, "You guys have been busy!" She said in wonder. She moved forward looking closely at the bodies, "Which one you want?" She asked, looking to Kanna and Aster.
