Rhys was getting closer to the snitch and heard the whoosh of what sounded like a bludger. He glanced back momentarily only for the sound of a bat to reach his ears, and Rhys's eyes locked onto the snitch again. He'd have to thank whichever beater it was that saved his arse, as he didn't know which one it was. As it was, he was gunning for that snitch.

spaceJazzy's expression could best be summed up as 'miffed' when the first year beater on Ravenclaw's team successfully saved Rhys, shooting the ball back at her. Impatient and annoyed, she went to meet the thing head-on and try to redirect it, but failed. Instead, it slammed hard into her shoulder, and she heard an audible crack. The third year let out a loud yell, half-frustration and half-pain. She very carefully swapped the hand holding her bat (and thank Merlin she was ambidextrous) so that the one with better strength was holding it, figuring that even with a busted shoulder, she could keep hold of the broom handle easily enough. She then took off after the ball that'd hit her, trying to aim it at Fay.
