Rike stopped, thinking it over for a few moments before saying, "Well...I have no idea. It was only by luck I found her mother, but this guy practically fell in her arms, got her affections in only a few weeks and now they're engaged?" he was severely messing up the messages Lina had given him, but what else was new?

"Besides, I was finally getting used to the fact that she liked anyone at all and now this. And jus tlike her sister, Malen had to give me a bombshell about being in love as well. Why won't they just get married at the same time so I don't have to travel so much?"

Rike went through a series of complaints as he covered his head, most of them pertaining to his hair more than anything else, "Well, since you don't have kids, you don't know that judging is what parents do, just like being overprotective. It's in the rulebook."

Exactly what rulebook he was talking about was lost even to him. But all those thought ceased as he suddenly came to a stop and looked into a nearby alley, "You know...I'd respect you more if you just came out and stopped following us."

A figure stepped out, bowing deeply before he said, "Forgive me, but I had to make sure you were the man Lina spoke of and not an imposter." the man said, before showing Rike the Lotus symbol, "I am Salen. Her second-in-command."

"Yeah, but it's still different from parenthood." Rike replied before arching an eyebrow, "And now I'm not surprised of the rumors flying all throughout the cities near here. So there really are groups formed in Signet...It makes me wonder who the bad guys are."

Salen was slightly surprised at Rike's word before saying, "If you would follow me, I can show you to our base. I would bring you to Lady Lina herself, but she is gone."

"Gone?" Rike sighed before he began to follow Salen, "I guess she has some of my traits afterall.."

It was a pretty silent trip as Salen led them both to the alley that held the main Lotus base. A quick show of power and the shield hiding the base faded just enough for them to walk through.

"That girl...she actually used Moneko's old home as a base." Rike murmured, holding back a laugh, "Smart, but insane. This place could have killed her.. another trait she has from me." he said as they entered the base.

"Where is she anyway? You'd think she'd be greeting me and her uncle Dante here." he said, teasing Kaiser lightly.

"She is currently Awakening Seine.." Salen replied as he walked into the base, "I would have thought she told you.." This man cannot be Lina's father. he thought, looking at the vampire, He's too...strange.

Rike smirked and said, "Why not? You are the closest thing I have for a brother, so you have to be her uncle, but if you insist... I won't call you Uncle Dante. How does Uncle Kaiser sound?" he knew he was getting close to really annoying his friend, but he just couldn't help himself.

Solan arched an eyebrow before noticing Kaiser's reactions, "If you sense the power in the house, then you must know who protects it. You should feel safe within here more than any other place in Signet for a Leader once resided here." he said before walking further into the base.

"Sorry, but my friend here doesn't now much about L-" Rike stopped for a moment wincing as pain shot through his foot. He looked almost childlike in his pain as he followed his friend and Salen, "Leaders..."

The second-in-command pretended not to notice the pause, already thinking in his mind that Rike was normally this strange, "Then you don't know of our group's mission..Sir Kaiser?"

Kiran had been in a state beyond slumber that carried her through the chaos, and now walked through the Lotus base to stretch her muscles. She hadn't been expecting to see two new strangers before she could even ask what had happened. Tilting her head to the side she looked both of them over--they were definitely older, but acted as young brothers.

She smirked to herself, figuring she would head to the kitchen and pester someone there, rather than eavesdrop.
