Ran shifted and groaned. Her catnap had turned into her falling asleep. Lifting her head, she winced as it ached from her falling asleep in the chair. Her whole body was a bit stiff, as well. Getting up, she stretched slowly, wincing every-so-often before going and exploring the fridge. She noted Himi would probably want something to eat, so she heated up some food for them both and went over and sat next to the dog, eating some before she put the rest by Himi for her to eat, while Ran stretched out on the bed.

Himi barked and started to eat the food. About a minute later the door opened and Mai-lin walked in with Kei following her. "Hello Himi-chan!" She looked over to Ran and gave her a small smile. "Hello Ran." She walked over and placed the basket of fruit on the table before ploping down on the edge of the bed. "You could have waited a little bit before leaving. I could have checked you out. Just be glad you didn't have Mowaigi-chan watching you. She can be really mean when she wants to."
Mai-lin pointed to Kei, who was still standing by the door. "That's Pei-kun. Or Saratobi Kei. He's on our team so be nice to him." She grinned at the Mist nin. "How are you? Still tired?"

Ran offered a little wave to Kei, before giving a small nod to Mai-lin. "Yeah... and still a bit sore... but I needed to get out of that place..." She gave a small shrug while glancing over to the basket of fruit a little curiously. "They didn't seem to have too much of a problem with me checking myself out, so it's not really a big deal..." She rubbed a little at a bandage on her arm as she spoke, more out of idleness then pain.

Mai-lin saw the other girl look over at the fruit and walked over to the basket. She picked it and moved back over to the bed. "What do you, Ran?" She asked, pulling out an apple for herself. "We picked it up on the way to the Hosptail. We've both spent enouhg time in there to know the food sucks and is dry. I know a lot of fruits have some kind of juice in them so I thought we could get you some fruit."

"Dry is a bit of an understatement..." Ran gave a soft smile. They werent arguing, yet she had to give the girl some sort of teasing. "Well, I don't know about my preferance in fruit, but this newer, nicer, atitude is a bit interesting..." She smirked, grabbing a banana out fo the basket. It wasn't exactly a fruit(I think they're actually a kind of berry), but she liked them alot.

Mai-lin raised an eyesbrow. "Are you trying to start something?" She asked. "I talked with someone and they pointed out that I wasn't helping Nii-san by being mean to you so...That and I just don't want to be dead woth a ton of bones sticking out of me. That is one hell of a attack!"

Ran gave another small shrug as she peeled some of the outside of the banana off. "I could've used it better, though..." She mumbled before taking a bite out of the object at hand. "My nii-san had it perfected, and didn't need much chakra to complete it..." She looked almost blankly towards the floor as she ate her banana.

"Still, that looked painfull. I'm glad you're on my side and not...not helping the mist." She looked at the apple that she had already finished half of. "Anyways. I met our sensei. She seems so..." She wrinkled her nose up and grinned slightly. "She seems easy to pull a trick over. You should have gone to the clubs last night. Then she could have met all of us."

Ran gave a slight shrug before standing and disappearing into the kitchen for a moment to throw away the banana peel, and then returning. Leaning on the doorway to the kitchen, she crossed one arm in front of her and held onto the other arm, which hung loosely at her side. "I'm not much into the idea of going to a club." She murmered, seeming to be a little happier with the fan that was in the kitchen blowing at her back.
"And, technically, I'm still concidered helping the mist, as i'm 'keeping the peace'..." Ran gave a slight sigh.

Anekio sneezed slightly. Either I'm catching a cold or I'm gonna be the newest bit of gossip around Konoha for the next couple of days. She thought with a sigh.

Finally Kei spoke up. "Things must be hard for you, Ran, being the only one here from your village. I hope no one's been giving you trouble." He gave both girls a smile. "Don't be afraid to come to me if you need help with something or someone, okay? We are a team..."
After saying her good-bye's, Tori headed straight to the bird tower and sent Fuki off. With a sigh, she headed down a level and went into her room there and curled up in her hammock before falling asleep.
"Anekio...would you mind some company on your walk back or are you planning on another little side trip to the cemetery?" Yuhi asked as he looked down at the ground.

"Besides for this one...?" Ran nodded her head to Mai-Lin. "I've only gotten a few strange looks, but nothing much." She smirked. "Of course, being one of the last Kaguya in existance, I always get strange looks, so, it's nothing new."

Kei chuckled. "I'm from Konoha and even I get strange looks. Then again, I supposed it's because they know my love of pranks..." he ended with a shrug. "Just trying to make things interesting around here."

Anekio smiled at him, "Not at all. Something wrong?" She noticed he was looking down at the ground, "Is it about our little joke?"

"No, don't worry about that." Yuhi said then smiled. "My father says the only thing bigger than my pride is my ego. I guess because of that I can act a bit childish sometimes, but don't judge me too much on that, huh?"
