Nobara heard Kazuma jump out of the window, which unluckily happened to be directly above her. He didn't leave her much time to think, she instantly picked up Miu and used her as a human shield, hoping Kazuma liked the girl enough not to kill her. Kazuma too? What is happening here exactly? Why haven't I heard of anything like this before? While holding up Miu in front of her Nobara used her other hand to prepare a possible counter attack.
Miu, who still was rather shocked that she had met Nobara, looked like she was about to say something, but then suddenly seemed to change her mind.

Chochmah had already been moving, the tea pot sliced in half as well as the contents somehow. He was out the window within a second of Kazuma. "Kazuma!" Chochmah's blade had always been the most deadly out of the ten. Not because he was something special with it. That was added ontop. It was because the blade was a godblade that Marasume had made. One of the godsmiths. But also the one who forged demon blades...
Chochmah's blade whirred through the air and Kazuma would feel a jolt in his sheath. The sheath wasn't cut, but Chochmah had reacted fast enough to stop Kazuma...for the blade Kazuma now used was only a hands length long. The blade Chochmah carried had bypassed the sheath and hit the actual weapon. How was that even possible. By the quick unseen hit Chochmah had delivered, forcing Kazuma's blade back in just a little. An iaijutsu attack used the blade and sheath as speed, so he hit the blade forcing it to go back down and vibrate in the sheath without Kazuma even able to realize it. The blade though was now useless as anything more than a seppuku tool.
During this whole ordeal Chochmah was shouting out to Nobara. "Kill that girl if you have to Nobara! Kazuma cares too much for her!" Everything was going as he wanted it...He was the seer, the prediction fighter. None matched him except one to his knowledge. Maybe Mouki as well...but only Chaos had ever matched him off the island. Maybe that was the reason for his deep lying hatred for people who turned...

Nobara sighed.
"I don't think I have to do anything at the moment... besides I have a certain attachment to this girl." She flipped over and jumped back up on the roof to get some distance from the two swordusers. Letting anyone, no matter who it was, if she didn't have a clear advantage close to her wasn't like Nobara. After all she wasn't the best at close-range combat and knew this very well.
Miu sat there on the ground in the same position as Nobara had left her in, with a pretty empty look in her eyes. Otherwise she seemed to be doing just fine.
"The girl has actually taught me one or two tricks... unfortunately those few tips she gave me eliminated the small advantage she had... now she's just useless in every aspect." Nobara shrugged and glanced down at the two fighters.
"Alright... I'll kill her if you tell me what is going on here right now." Nobara narrowed her eyes, crouched down and placed her hands in front of her on the edge of the roof so that she could lean over the edge to get a better view.

Kazuma touched down on the ground, landing in a crouched position. Standing up, he pulled the blade from it's sheath, that calm look on his face again. "Hmm. Such a waste. Chochmah, I must ask..why do you so fiercely seek me to join you? You know that I am one of the weaker, if not the weakest ten." He had a plan. Maybe he could at least get himself and Miu away from Chochmah and Nobara..He had been too quick to attack Sakura. Maybe if he'd been more polite..there was little time for past regrets now, though. Without turning around, he addressed Nobara. "And Nobara. Why do you side with Chochmah? If he's willing to kill so many other people, do you not think he'll just kill you once he's done with you, to eliminate any chance of his 'throne' being knocked over?" He stood there, his broken blade in hand, waiting for a response.

Nobara chuckled.
"You're so silly Kazuma... why do you think I'm siding with Chochmah? I'm simply curious. I mean, I haven't seen one of the ten in ages... then suddenly I run into a lot of people I know... it's very odd and I want an explanation..." She nodded.
"Come on... why are we arguing over someone like her? She's hardly worth it... You should know better Kazuma."

Kazuma chuckled, briefly. "More useless than you? My dear, she's far more beautiful, and a much better person, in most respects. You've been worn down by the battles you've been in, the blood you've spilt." He stood still. He didn't care to look at her. There was little use.
"And you don't know why the ten are gathering? Why..you're less knowledgable than I thought."

Nobara's eyes flamed, how did Kazuma dare insult her like that? To controll herself Nobara squeezed the edge of the roof, her knuckles turned white, but she managed to remain calm. Miu on the other hand whinced and gasped for breathe as if Nobara was trying to choke her.
"She is weak... extremely weak. I don't understand what you see in her, if you're after someone pure, innocent and naive then she's certainly the right person for you. But in that case she's as useful to you dead as alive... And I never thought it would even be possible for the ten to gather. We're all too stubborn to do something like that... Is this really true Chochmah?"

Chochmah continued to watch Kazuma. He was letting them talk. Part of his plan as always. "Nobara...what is going on is that the ten are soon to be gathering...if you've been counting...it will be ten years soon since we killed our masters. Each of us varying in time, but ten years since the first died at one of our hands. The ten are gathering to decide what will be done about this new regime. As well as seek others to fill the shoes of those uncapable to join the ten.
"Kazuma, you are needed because you are one of the ten. Even the weakest of us, is the strongest of most other men. Everyone of the ten is important, but they aren't important, if they are willing to throw their lives away for such pitious things as you have in mind. You will either join, or you will suffer through the rest of your life. Know that now. Everyone of us ten has great power, and a great sense of pride. This is why we refuse to work together.
"I will tell you for one of the few times I ever will, that there will be a changing in the ten. Someone is coming that will make us better and form us into a fighting force that is undefeatable. We are the ten swords. Alone we are greatly destructive...together, we are death and destruction incarnate..." Chochmah's eyes watched in silence. "Now you know. Join, or be defeated in everything you are and do..."

Kazuma sighed softly. Why had it come to this? Could he really have expected to live in peace all this time? That's all he wanted..he'd spent years mastering internal conflicts and anger. His eyes softened temporarily. It seemed he was..needed? Wasn't that what everyone hoped, nay, dreamed for? But he was needed to kill, not for company. "You know that even if I joined you, i'd be unruly. I'd question every command. I'd make life a pain for you. So..I ask that you leave Miu and I alone, lest I destroy myself." He gripped the remnants of his katana tightly. Even were he to be disarmed, there were other ways that could quickly lead to death. Many saw death as the end to life. Something that the cruel and brutish pushed upon the common man. But nay, it was an art.

Nobara listened to what Chochmah had to say about them gathering and nodded.
"10 years... god I feel old now. It does sound reasonable though... so when will this gathering take place?" She then turned to Kazuma.
"Just give up already... you know none of us really gets along very well. And most probably we will do nothing but argue. Maybe we need someone who constantly questions our choices? Besides... I think most of us would refuse to obey any commands. Get a grip of yourself. Killing yourself would in no way solve this situation. Besides, did you at all think about what we would do to poor little Miu over there if you decide to choose that way out? We would of course have to take out our frustration on her in some way... at least I can think of a thousand different ways to kill her slowly. And you know I would do that, you know how much I enjoy watching people scream and beg for mercy while I without any haste slit up their stomach and start to pull out their intestines." Nobara demonstrated her surgical experimentation.

Kazuma pulled the remnants of the blade to the side of the sheth, sliding it along, then pushing it down into the sheath with a loud click. "Please, woman..quit talking. Everytime I hear you, my stomach winces." He sighed loudly. "Very well. I'll follow you. Not out of choice, you understand. Out of need. Release Miu now." Kazuma seemed to hold his calm composure..there wasn't much that could shake him.

Nobara glanced at Chochmah.
"Errm... what do you think? Can we trust him? Do you really think we should release Miu? I mean we can just keep her as a hostage so that we'll make sure Kazuma follows us..."

Chochmah looked at the man Kazuma and then at Nobora. He sheathed his sword slowly. "Let her go, I can find her if I see him decide to defect...besides, he knows there is no way out of this without a painful end to his other half of the halo...We have to leave though...I fear someone may be watching us..."
Chochmah looked into the darkness at the man named Sakura, but he was unseen, unfelt, and unknown by all except Chochmah. There wasn't a lack of aura, just...nothing there. Everything seemed normal, it was as if he was invisible.
Sakura simply smiled unseen in the darkness as Chochmah looked at him. Such an interesting man...
