RinoaHeartilly Dang, what happened? And who's paying for it? xD I lost a pad under my flutes thumb key... it was loose for like, 2 years and then this year it just fell off and I haven't done anything about it yet sweatdrop xd It just kinda... died. XD E natural and F sharp wouldn't work. My parents are paying for it - I don't gots no monies. XP

kid2kiddo RinoaHeartilly kid2kiddo Just incase no one knew, flute was originally designed to be a male instrument because it takes the most air out of all the instruments. To blow in a flute to make a sound take more air than trombone, or even tuba. Piccolo flute is an exception cuz it takes less air. Alto and Bass an Contrabass.... that's another story. you would hav a bloated face while u play those..... (Esp. contrabass) Interesting. Where'd you find that information? Funny how it turned out that most guys view the flute as a girly instrument. Of course I think everyone knows that it takes more air to play the flute. You're blowing straight into it, there's no friction between your air stream and the instrument. or somethin' like thatI've learned that from my teachers and from almost everyone knows that.... i think. It's in the music history things too. I dunno. It just seem to be very common sense. and plus guys r just.... lame. I'd have to say that's something the younger generations lack. ((common sense, that is)) today i walked up to the school building after school, and i tried to open the door which was locked and there were these kids RIGHT THERE and they couldn't put 2 and 2 together. They stood there looking at me like 'Dohhhh' Sheesh. The guy by me was like 'It's not that hard, just push the goddamn door!' xDDD

Before I do. x_x Yeah, but what's annoying is I had a Piccolo in 8th grade, he didn't. Then our BD wouldn't let me play it because he wasn't sure how good of a Flutist I was. So, after my playing test I asked him if I could play it just once and he said because I did so well I could play it full time. So, later on when Ryan had his playing test Mr. Doll must've said something about me playing it and Ryan probably said he wanted to play it too and then Mr. Doll let him borrow his Piccolo! And I was just like -strangle, smack, smack- And then I mentioned playing Bass flute and you know the rest I guess.

Umm. Because the concert last night was relatively uneventful (with the exception of my reaching rehersal mark a three measures before everyone else) I will skip right to today's competition. It was my worst performance yet. I'm not saying our band did bad. We got superiors in every category, horrible things just happened to me.
I think that it was a combination of the humid stage and Lauren all but insulting me (perhaps I'm exaggerating) but halfway through my favorite song, "Molly on the Shore" I realized that my nose was bleeding, so I sat out for a bit until May asked what was wrong and gave me permission to leave. I was so upset. However, one good thing did come of this. Because the second first flute dropped down to second, she learned just how hard reading down is, and now they have more respect for us. Yay!

Urrrgg concert day after tomorrow, rehearsals=heck
Especially since girl next to me seems to have a sudden dislike for the teacher and plays wrong on purpose. Hard to concentrate...
