Still outside, pissed, etc etc, the floating blue glowing orb simply sighed. It hovered in front of the door, more sparks aiming to slam into it with only the force of a knock. Clearly, the Archon wasn't being welcomed into the building, nor was it being attacked. "Bah! How ruuuude~~!" It chastised once more, at the lack of attention.

Drone? what the hell was... his eyes flicked from side to side.... Drone-'S'.... why were... there drone's'? and... where was this Archon he'd heard about...? for once.. he didnt say anything and just leaned to look past the large metal form at the lake.. and mansion.. well.. one thing found that actually made sense..

One back leg would lash out to try and knock Lex back, even as the top section of the drone swivelled on the turret-style body to get a look at Lex. It wasn't attacking Lex really, but more like swatting away an annoying bug. The drone let out a nearly angry sounding "Miinerrp!!" sound, both dull and low as it's lower body turned about so that the top and bottom were once more righted.

"gh!" he took the swat in the chest and skidded back, stumbling a little to catch his balance.. backing into a tree and blinking in a startled mannor... "err... whoa whoah! easy easy... i.. came.. looking for some.. one.. something named Archon..." He stood with his arms out a little, his mind opening up a little.. sensing the drone in a mroe curious fashion, curious if it was anything like the one back at the dojo.. and if what had happened to It... or what he'd Killed while it was malfunctioning, was present here... if so.. he got the feeling he was going to have a very.. bad day..

Draeken Aakarshan With so many things happening at once, Draeken was almost overwhelmed. He was having a mental conversation, had just kissed Phia in return to hers when he parted from her and had nearly been run into by one of the recent refugees. I had noticed them, though what they have come for I have no idea. Perhaps they are with KB and that lot, though I doubt it. As for the Dojo...Heh. I kinda blew that up a little while ago. KB was attempting to take it over and convert it into some sort of mobile weapon or something like that. I don remember clearly since my being seperated from my ancestor and his formerly evil side. You and your friends are all welcome here, of course.Then there was the attack, or at least the attempted attack on the mansion. The orb did no physical damage to the structural integrity of the building, and nor did it really damage the shielding. The barriers shimmered and made those parts of the mansion hard to see for a second or two, but otherwise were undamaged. It was perhaps possible for a much more powerful and concentrated attack to make a hole in the shielding, but this one wasnt one such attack. With a sigh he shook his head and turned to the man that had just fallen from a balcony; or perhaps jumped?; and nearly rolled into him. "Hmm. Seems our friend KB is making his salutations, no? And who might you be, friend? One of the recent refugees from the Dojo I am sure." He smiled and offered his hand to the man so as to help him up from the floor. He paused though at the sound of his name and the message being echoed through the hallways. It was one of the people that had previously been outside, though the door hadnt opened. "Damn it all. That definately isnt one of KB's buddies. Unless they have enlisted aid from an unknown source." He sighed again and began readying himself for possible combat. Sparkei hadnt realized that he was being acknowleged by Dreaken, but he looked up, and a hiccup escaped his mouth. "Eh?...oh oh...I'm Sparkei, yep. I'm new here...yea, dojo refugee. KB? I dont think I know KB..." Looking around, he instinctively took D's hand and stood up, dusting off, and wagging his feline tail, his ears stood up and his hair on the back of his neck stood on end. He had no idea what it was that caused that reaction in his body, but he knew that it was here..."Friends of yours I suppose?" He said to Dreaken...or who he assumed was Dreaken, with a sly grin. Looking towards the direction of the second shout, his red eyes hardened slightly, his body had become naturally tense just from the energies arriving in the house, so his body felt drawn tight, ready to spring loose when the need arrived. "Oh...and sorry about that...Dreaken right?" Sparkei said turning back to him, finally getting the courage to look him in the eye, his youthful voice had begun to reveal the warrior within. Tilting his head out of habit, he grinned nervously and continued, "The landing woulda been smoother...but I wasnt paying enough attention and didnt realize you were there..."

Normaly Draeken would have laughed and engaged Sparkei in a full conversation, but in light of current events, all he could say was, "It's quite alright. No harm done to me or yourself right? It might be a good idea to either ready yourself for intense combat or to hide, right about now."
There were now all three unknown beings in the mansion. He couldnt quite describe what they felt like other than being just plain wrong. One good thing on the other hand was that he could sense Derrek coming. The man could be of some considerable use in battle, seeing as how he was learning to bind and unbind various things within their world that normaly shouldnt be tampered with. A useful skill. He would just have to wait for the three to come to him.
Then there was the army massing outside. That would have to be dealt with too. "Son of a b***h. My day just gets better and better. I hope the new version of Truinthil isnt adverse to fighting." He was going to need all the help he could get.

*Waiting for a few minutes Kyiana began to grow impatient. So she was going to have to go to him. The man was insolent. Then again, he had no idea who she or her allies were and was likely to stay still until he did. It did not matter in the long run. She would achieve her mission and things would be set right. The laws of the Universe, Time, and Death would all be carried out.
So with out even rolling her eyes despite being irritated Kyiana began moving towards where Draeken was. He was not far. Probably in one of the nearby hallways.*
Come Sundel, Erudemesa. Our task is nearly at hand.

DustyMemory Equally obediant, and perhaps just as single-minded, a group of metallic insectoid drones marched. 20 in total, a rather modest group really. Though in retrospect 20 armed and functioning units with a full firing spread was about 40 repeating constant energy shots, as well as 40, .50 cal guns raging upon any fleshies, all to be backed up by 40 SRM racks that were prepared to devastate the mansion from across the lake. That was the main buffer really, between the drones and the mansion, the only thing stopping their metal legs from ramming in the front doors. The lake, and the single drone that had befriended Eva.
Their timing was amazing, or perhaps it had meant to play out this way. After all, with roughly 200 stock units made give or take a couple of minor losses, it was an army waiting to march upon a target. Yet where was their general? Why were the bugs acting of their own accord? What or who could've possibly driven them to do such a thing, and at the same time had enough foresight to have them march just as others caused commotion?
It didn't matter. Arcane generators thrummed to life, polished black rings of stone coming to levitate within each drone in the secure chamber. The energy flared, the rings keeping the systems stable, for now. A light-blue, translucent shimmer would encompass each drone, as the arcane shields were brought online. 100 lenses flashed about, taking in every detail and processing each bit of it, their minds unified and acting as one, as part of a hive.
Let them rely on their magic, for KB had't forgotten the weaknesses of technology against the arcane arts. The drones were ready for field testing, their operator merely hoped that they would secure a swift victory, with as few casualties as possible.
((Eh? This is a fairly low-end attack, not an extermination or anything, merely meant to cause ruckus and allow other events to jump forward. I suspect there won't be any deaths, unless people decide to go suicide. =D )) Just as Tara and Z were about to come out of the trees and into the lake area, Tara noticed the drones and quickly stopped, flipping around the next tree limb, holding out her hand to catch Z by his shirt before he would have landed in the clearing. She set him down on a large branch before dropping to that branch as well, crouching and studying the drones. Tara's eyes had become slit pupiled again, and her nails and canines were enlarged, showing she had just begun to tap her feral side, opening up her senses beyond their usual super human acutness. She sniffed the air as she glared at the drones. "Machines...," she said in disgust, "that's why I couldn't smell them from far off. I thought I had seen the last of advanced machines when I got dropped on this god-forsaken rock." She paused as she seemed to study them, "I see arcane shielding....I wonder if these machines are as adapt at fighting people like me as from my world? Or if their metal hides stand a chance against my claws?" Tara tapped her now clawed hands on the large tree lilmb, the claw shinking in and out of the bark. "Better not to risk it without Kira's blade with me, it;s the only thing garunteed to slice through magical shielding. I guess we wait and watch for an oppotunity." She said with a side glance at Z.

Sparkei considered for the slightest second about hiding, but instead stayed despite what his gut was telling him. "I'll stay, but thanks for the invitation....I'm sure you can handle yourself, but....they dont feel like just uber-powerful beings...they seem........odd..." He was having a really hard time describing what they were, but he knew that they were bad news...the energies were begining to give him a headache, he had never been exposed to so much energy at once. Reaching behind him, he drew one of his Kushinada blades, it's length was inbetween a dagger and a katana, it was wide enough for Sparkei to put the whole of his palm and not have his fingers go over the blade. The edges were jagged and sharp, nice for eviscerating opponents. He wasnt sure if he would need both at the moment, but if he needed to, he could draw the second in a blur. "I just hope I wont be a hinderance..." he said more to himself than to Draeken, he hated being inadequate

Z blinked in surprise as Tara lifted him into the tree. One eyebrow lowered slightly when he looked to her, the only sign of curiosity he showed. After a few seconds Z followed Tara's gaze out to the field. He blinked, not understanding what he saw. 'What are those things?' he wondered to himself. He'd never seen such creatures before. Tara began speaking, and Z looked at her again, listening. When she finished, Z returned his gaze to the drones. It didn't surprise him that she wasn't from this world. Neither was he, in fact. Well, that wasn't entirely true, actually. It was a very long, very complicated story, one he hoped never to have to tell. Arcane shielding he understood well. He'd delt with it on a much too personal level once before. And the Black Company had been involved then, too. But machines? That he didn't know. Machines... Wasn't that what the Lady had said her flying devices where called? But, these didn't look at all like hers. Where were the people operating them? He watched the drones intently, trying his best to understand. Tara was speaking again. Z looked back to her. Again his stomache twisted and his heart sank, that regret at having sold his sword returning. But, turning those narrow silver eyes bakc on the drones to continue his study, he doubted he could do much damaged to them. He didn't even know what they where. How does one fight that which one doesn't know or understand? He gave a small sigh, looking to the ground below them. He felt usleless and stupid next to Tara, with her claws and superhuman abilities. And he, with no magical powers, not even a dagger...

Derrek knew where Draeken was. Now, the only problem was getting there. He was several stories up and had, to the best of Derrek's knowledge, just been on a nearby balcony. So, the question was how would he get up there. He'd experimented a bit more with his disconections from causal space relations, but hadn't tried extending it to specific things, instead relying solely on movement. Oh well. No time like now to experiment. Tossing the dagger to himself, he caught it upside down so the chain whip faced up. Reaching his arm back, Derrek threw forth the whip, attempting to catch the ledge of the balcony far above. At the same time, he tried to will the whip and his arm go further than they ought, as he did with his steps to reach the mansion. The chain wrapped around part of the ledge of the upper balcony, which ought to have been far out of reach. Strengthening its hold with a minor binding spell, Derrek climbed up with all speed. He reached the top in little time with no further difficulty. Once there, he released the chain and ran to Draeken, who was now close. Sliding in with the halberd and dagger still in hand, Derrek said only "D, what the hell is going on here?"
~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~
Oho. There were two others now. This might be surprising if Erudemasa hadn't seen it already happen. Walking slowly, he emerged into the room where D was standing just as Derrek entered. Smiling widely, he waved and said, "Hello again D! We meet again for the first time!"
As it stood, the other 19 drones seemed content to simply lounge about and look at things. So far, they hadn't seemed to have caught sight of the pair in the trees, though perhaps the machines were simply playing coy.
The one with Lex however, did move. Almost as if a cat playing with a mouse, the drone moved to swat Lex again with a heavy metal leg, hoping to catch the rabbit in the force of the swing and angle it so that the furry man was thrown towards the lake shore. It wasn't particularly violent, but then again the toss was hardly gentle either.
~~~~~~~~~
"Open this door immediately!!!" The Archon whined, as it's form rammed into the door. It didn't have much force, and the thing seemed to bounce back further from the impact than it did get anything done. Obviously the door had no intentions of buckling under the stress of 30lbs or less. For some reason the Archon had yet to try and teleport in, though that may be due to the shielding D had put up.

Lex blinked and moved with quick speed, erking both hands rasing as his marking lit up with a glow and the metallic arm warped and practically liquified, spreading out at about 10 different angles, all missing him before spattering against the tree behind him and the ground, him ducking out of the way again and making a quick dash away.. he got the feeling it didnt matter who he was here see, they were going to attack him anyways.
Mansion? well.. why not.. seemed more forgiving then the crowd near by right now.. and as for those in it, hopefully more agreeable then the metallic ones he was being so warmly greeted by right now..

The drone seemed to regard the limb with distaste, watching as it was warped and twisted, only to be strewn about. A mental twitch went through the drone as it double-checked the shield status, just to make sure. Chances were the effect had been due to physical contact or proximity, which would explain a lot. It was a curious effect, one that would require further study.
Nonetheless, the metal seemed to shift a couple of times, before taking a liquid state and slithering up back along the leg. Once back in place, it solidified, where the unit seemed to let out a mechanical chuckle. Servitude seemed to be paying off well, for the new master could do things their creator could not.
The tower had spawned them, and now the darkness grasped them. The drones had no soul, and yet as the tiny hive looked across to the lake, they felt hate. 20 of them would not be much, but perhaps others would come to see the darkness as a place for their kind. A bridge between being alive, and being active.
