Wincing at his blood being called "tainted", Meeya frowned, stretching his mind out. "No... sorry... There's simply too much dark energies around..." Then his mouth turned down and he gritted his teeth, trying to not let the Youkai Lady's words get to him. "But I could always make the whole CASTLE FALL TO DUST." He hissed angrily, loud enough for his voice to bounce down the corridors. It would take a bit to control it and not kill anyone so Micoi wouldn't be hurt, but he could do it. And the idea of the Youkai Lady without a castle was somewhat amusing and cheered him up, if just a little, and soothed the pain from the injuries.

Kanak smirked. "Hold on to that thought, Meeya. I think I'm up for a bit of destruction. If the two of you could just keep yourself in one piece without me..." Was the youkai implying that the two Faeries wouldn't be able to survive on their own?

"And just what is that supposed to mean?" she asked, though she didn't move from her position or look back toward the youkai.

He laughed, the sound rough around the edges and boyish against the pristine surf and muted calls from the city behind them.
"What type of bird is he, anyway?" Baran asked, genuinely curious. "I don't think I've seen one like him. He kinda reminds me of the parrots we, meaning my squad, saw up by Memphis."
He grinned again, bending over to meet Yoko's beady eyes.
"Looks smart."
He straightened up, notcing for the first time that he had to tilt his head down slightly to look Celia in the face. If he looked straight out his line of vision landed him smack in the middle of her head, staring at the part through her hair where her fair skin was visable. Her hair, teased by the light wind, looked soft.
Although, he had to admit to himself, he would perfer the excuse of height to let him stare at things other than the top of her head.
Aiketh nodded, carefully accepting the acknowledgement of the effort she had placed into securing the ship. Stepping gently to the side, her eyes were drawn to the Fighter and Knight talking in low friendly tones on the beach.
...If he doesn't behave himself, I swear I'll find a way to teleport to Arinas myself and gut him.

Meeya frowned slightly and palmed a knife, slightly reluctantly. "I can take care of myself, you know." He muttered to Kanak irritatedly. THe Youkai Lady had just taken him by surprise before... and he didn't to keept his power as an automatic defense, since that would crumble and destroy even the very ground he walked on. The thought made him sick to his stomach.

"Heheheh." Kanak chuckled lightly, smirk still on his lips. "It's supposed to mean whatever you think it should." He replied, mostly to irritate her. "Now, now, Meeya... you might just as well prepare yourself to make the very air grow stale or even curse the ground into a coma for a few years. Tht's how prepared I want you to be. And I want the two of you to be able to stand until I come back. Think you can do that?" He mocked them lightly. He was joking, and Meeya would know that better than anyone of the two faeries. "Meeya, make her 'highness' regret she even thought the thought of taking Micoi. See ya later, dolls, and don't die on us." He said with a grin.

Sputtering softly, Meeya whirled around. How could Kanak except that of him..?! But Kanak was gone. The only thing he caught was the last eddies of the teleportation. With a shiver, Meeya moved further out in the corridor, standing in the middle and as ready as he could be. Insides curling with self-loathing, he stirred his power, the stone beneath him shivering and staring to crack with reaction. "Stupid youkai..."

Appearing in a corridor a bit away, not far by any means, but enough anyway to make the magic very faint. Unclenching his hand around the white gemstones hanging on the necklace that the Dragon princess had given to him long ago, one that let the holder teleport if they were unable to do so themselves, Kanak began down the hall in a fast jog. Casting quick glances all around him, trying to sense the girl he had raised and kept safe for so long, Kanak swore over the youkai Lady's castle. Why did it have to be so big? Sure, that old temple building they lived in was huge too, but he knew that one like his own pocket! "Damn this s**t." He muttered when he almost stopped. There! She was close! Finally.

"Hey!" she yelped as Kanak suddenly disappeared, then growled quietly. Whatever possessed her to hook up with a youkai, whether or not he claimed to be protecting the Queen?
She glanced over at Meeya, muttering, "Don't lose it just yet."------------- "Not so fast," he growled, stepping out into the youkai's path. He held his glaive in front of him, blocking Kanak's path. Ears flattened against his head and wings half-spread, he growled.

"The hell is this? The Lady's got cats running around in her castle? No wonder she has no mice around here, I was startingto wonder." Kanak snorted before pulling his spear in front of him, smirking. Sure, they had fought before, but the odds have been uneven then, whether they had been tilting towards this youkai that time or in his favor he couldn't tell but not they were alone...

He snarled at that comment, but didn't move, just settling into a slighlty more secure crouch. "Sorry, but I can't let you go any farther," he said, wings flaring out a bit in threat.

"I'm afraid, shaking, kitty." Kanak joked with a half smirk half smile on his face, pointing his spear point at Nashrome, becoming serious. "But, you see, you have something that belongs to me." He said, one corner of his mouth pulling upwards and baring his teeth a bit. "Someone I love... someone I would kill for." And with that the youkai sprinted forward, someone had to make the first move after all.

He stepped smoothly to one side, actually allowing the other to run past him. But then he swung his own weapon in an arch, aiming for the other's backside.

Kanak was prepared for the other parrying or even dodging his offensive but evenso, he had to swing the spear vertically over and behind himself to block the other's blade. Following close behind his weapon, he, upon facing the other youkai once again, pulled their locked blades in a circle, freeing them at the end of the manouver and takinghis chance at stabbing the other.
