Fiddlers Green Crystal Dragon Jesus, mostly a co-opting of what I see as important Christian values, and super imposing them over other matters they are neither native to, nor appropriate for. Now, mind you, as a very important incarnate in my religion, it is not entirely unwarranted, but I do come off in this respect. Basically, it's a Christ, without Shem. Completely without the God of Abraham. some Crystal Dragon Jesi are avatars for completely unrelated deities. My heresy is at least not that great. wink Fair enough. wink Also: OH MY GOD! Taliah, have you ever read Thus Spoke Zarathustra?
It's good if you understand Deutsch and can translate it for yourself, otherwise, it can be hard to find a good translation. I'll see which one I ahve if you would like.
It is a very insightful work.
It lays out a rather simple philosophy regarding finding merit within one's self, and encouragement to stand up as an individual.
Beyound that, I can only offer that none of my interactions lead me to hold any stock in the notion of you as a terrible person. 3nodding

You know, a friend of mine with similar circumstances to your own is having similar feelings. I really am at a loss for how to address the situation. I want to be helpful and supportive, but I have absolutely no basis for understanding what they are feeling. This makes my attempts at consoling very... difficult.

I try to be helpful. I'm an enabler, it's like a super-helper. 3nodding Now, while by all feedback I've gotten so far, I am fairly talented, I am afraid I cannot provide such satisfaction from this distance... And while I am the very pillar of discretion, I really can't manage with the level of near utter anonymity that exists on the interwebs, in other words, I need to have at least met in person the person I am providing the services for.~ahem~ Ah, rightio, well, I shall keep that in mind. I am often worried that I shall, in a bungled attempt to be friendly, end up accidentally offending. I like my offense to be given intentionally, and especially not at people I am trying to help.

And don't let your fear of offending completely freeze you. I realise you want to be nice, and that's noble, but you must remember the need for balance. Do I detect another Firefly fan? surprised Oh, part of the problem is I do just go ahead and blurt out what I think might help, if anything comes to mind. xd Sometimes I get stuck on what to say at all. I usually have a witty quip, or some odd bit of lore to share about an experience, when I come upon a topic I really have no way to relate to, I sorta draw a blank. Then I start asking questions, trying to figure out this aspect of the person. That's where the offense often comes in. I can be over-bearing, especially if I am trying to help. Heavey-handed Hospitality they would usually say. 3nodding
