Jaden's wolf ears perked up quickly at the sound and for a moment he stared at the door in confusion before remembering that he technically lived here now. "Come in." he said still stuck in thought.

Layna blinked slightly at the voice, before slowly opening the door. She peaked into the lighted room before opening the door further. She could see two men, one she recognized instantly as Razu. The other... The other had to be Jaden. "Hello..." She murmured, not sure what to say. Gabriel giggled, his small hands reaching out. For all it was worth, he wanted to play. He thought Jaden was Steffon...or Ceon.

"Hi." Jaden said before turning to Razu again. "You think this is going to become a frequent occurrence? People coming to me I mean."

Razu's eye's shifted to Steffon and Duke before repling,"Probably not. Steffon and Duke brought them here because I am here." He stood up and walked over to Layna. He gave her a big heart warming hug before pulling back and looking down at Gabriel smiling happily, "This must be your son. What's his name?"
Steffon smelled the patties and told Duke to go grab him one.
Duke flew into the kitchen and grabbed two. one for him and another for steffon. He dropped the first in front of steffon and began to gobble the other.
Steffon wolfed down his patty hungerily.

Layna blinked, rather surprised by the kind gesture. She slowly nodded her head. "He is Gabriel." She said with a motherly smile. Gabriel growled impishly, waving his little hands. "Ra ra ra!" He sounded, his shaggy down of white hair fanning on his forehead. Layna laughed softly, though it sounded rather forced. Her eyes seemed locked in sadness, and the emotion did not shift.

Razu lifted the boy out of Layna's arms and held onto him. He gazed into the boys eyes and smiled again. He said softly,"Hiya Gabriel. I'm Rasheed but you can call me Razu. Or Raz if its easier. How about I call you Gabe? That sounds just fine, huh?" Razu reached into his shirt and pulled out a ring of plastic keys. He had bought the toy when he had first found out that Layna was with a child. "Here you go, Gabe. What do you think of these things?"

Layna put a hand to her mouth, stifling a silent laugh. Gabriel grabbed onto the keys with his little hands, tugging at the brightly colored plastic. "Ra za!" He gleefully sounded, trying to say Razu's name. He was still learning to sound out things, with only a little success. But he was more of a troublemaker than anything. "Ra ra ra!" He growled again, giggling.

Razu laughed and asked the boy,"You like those Gabe? They're for you." Razu lets go of the ring and looked up at Layna his eyes glowing with happiness,"He's a handsome little boy Layna. He's great. I love him already!"

Jaden clapped his hands a few times to get attention. He was really not fond of pups or children at all, they brought back too many bad memories, not only of his own childhood but the countless others he ended. "So happy days at having a pup. Congratulations. Now if you want to keep talking about children then please go down the hall or to the apartment below us since it's empty because the alpha male lives there with his family and he's been gone for awhile now. But I'm going to need you to leave someplace because I CAN'T THINK!"
The last point was accented violently by Jaden lifting up the armchair he had been sitting in and throwing it half through the window and half through the wall next to it. He was so angry right now, there was too much going on and it wasn't supposed to be his job. He didn't want this, he'd made sure to run from it and yet he was stuck back here now.

Layna whimpered, backing off. Her eyes were wide, fear shining brightly in them. "I-I'm sorry..." She stammered, her grey eyes downcast. She hadn't meant to make anybody angry or upset. She had just wanted to get away from the pain... Perhaps here wasn't the best place. Gabriel let out a growl, his silver-blue eyes shining angrily. For one so small, he certainly had enough temper. "No!" Gabriel snapped suddenly, causing Layna to gasp softly. "No no no!" He continued, his little hands curled into fists. He didn't like seeing his mother like this.

Jaden's ears flicked in the direction of the sound first before he turned around and stared at the little pup in his mothers arms. His tail bristled as he took two steps forward slowly before stopping again. "What?" It was a word of surprise above all with almost all of the frustration and anger bled from it.

Layna was as surprised as Jaden must have been. "No no no! Bad!" Gabriel continued his rant, growling in the back of his throat, as if he were a big wolf. His mother could only shake her head with a sigh. What had gotten into her son as of late?

Jaden stomped up to the child and snarled at him, baring his fangs and flattening his ears in an aggressive stance. "Oh you think so?" His bristling tail swished violently. "How 'bout I throw you out the window next?"

Layna gasped, but did not pull back Gabriel. The child looks askance for a moment, completely beyond speech. He then reached up and tugged on Jaden's hair. "Nah?" He questioned, suddenly giggling. He let go of Jaden's hair and pressed his hand gently at Jaden's nose.

Jaden bristled but did not make any move to grab the pup. "I don't like kids." he muttered against the boys hand. "And I really would throw you out the window. I've done far worse to kids in the past."
