Eric looked back at Mirai briefly. "Yeah okay, enjoy your waterfront property on denial, Mirai," he told her. He cocked his head to the side slightly when Noira denied his request and called him hun. "Alright darling, maybe we can work something out another time." He followed her gaze to Mirai before looking back at her. He wasn't surprised when Noira told him the knights would be pissed off when Eric and Noira talked crap about their master. Their escape and subsequent attack happened fast, and Eric knew that getting hit by a combination of those moves would keep him down for a while. But there was one thing he could do. When Noira leaped up into the air Eric quickly followed, matching her pace. He landed on the black-blood platform she had created and let her deflect and destroy the attacks while he kept her between them and himself. Normally he would have attacked such an opponent from behind, attempting to distract them long enough for the stronger attack to hit them, but Eric didn't know exactly how strong Noira was yet and while they shared a common enemy he figured it was better not to antagonize her.

It turned out Eric's caution was fairly well founded. He had just enough time to hear the words "foolish move" before he was hit by a massive explosion. At first he thought that Goliath and/or Ken had somehow sneaked in an attack from behind but as he reoriented himself while flying backwards from the blast, he realized that it had in fact come from in front of him. From Noira. And now she was a giant dragon. "Well THAT'S just GREAT," Eric fumed as he watched the giant dragon attack the knights, virtually shredding Goliath in one blow. "How are we going to kill that!?"

Ken quickly retaliated by stomping his foot. He was going to shoot up crystals again. Instead of jumping up and trying to get distance from himself and the ground, he knelt down quickly, feeling the rumble of the ground. He waited and threw himself to the side at the last minute, the red crystal exploding from the ground where he had been less than a second ago. He looked up to see Noira eat Ken's attack in the literal sense and saw Ken prepared to take Noira's final blow. When Ken addressed Divine's children, telling them that Divine was a gentle and caring man, Eric wondered if they were talking about the same Divine. He shook his head. Whatever. Just die already. He thought as he watched Noira's attack hit the black knight. Surprisingly, Ken lasted just long enough to get through the inferno and try to hit Noira, but his swords broke at the last second. Eric had to hand it to him; he'd died fairly spectacularly. But both he and Goliath being dead were two major headaches gone. He looked back up at Noira, putting his hands in his pockets again. Sometimes you faced situations you just couldn't plan for. No matter how hard you tried, life had a way of putting you in positions where you could be totally screwed.

Meanwhile...

Miles smiled back at Kasumi. "It will," he promised her. He didn't have time to say anything else, as he heard the sound of the knights escaping their prison. He turned around in time to see Goliath and Ken do their dual attack, part of it heading straight towards Kasumi and himself. "Look out!" He yelled as he turned to face the attacks. His eyes began to glow bright green. "Anima Obice!" A bright green barrier of resonance force suddenly surrounded Miles and Kasumi just in time to intercept the attack. Miles grit his teeth, focusing all his energy on repelling the attack. It was too strong. The barrier had taken the worst of the damage, but it began to crack and falter. After several moments it shattered and the rest of the attack came, slamming into Miles and knocking him backwards. His eyes faded back to their normal color as he cried out in pain, slamming backwards into the ground.

Miles managed to open one eye from his position on the ground and look up to see Noira and Eric in the air on a black-blood platform that was clearly created by the former. He could tell by Eric's expression that he was thinking about attacking Noira from behind while she dealt with the two knights. Don't do it, he thought. Fortunately Eric seemed to think better of it. Miles looked back at Kasumi. "Hey, you okay?" He asked. He was hurt but he'd survive. He was about to add something else when another explosion rocked the battlefield. The sky suddenly got darker and Miles looked up to see what seemed to be a massive dragon flying through the air. He could tell by the wavelengths that it was Noira, though he could have guessed that anyway. "Holy..." he muttered as he watched the massive dragon take down the larger knight. He felt the rumbling in the ground when the black knight launched his attack and knew something was coming up. He rolled out of the way fast, but the red crystal erupted from the ground slightly faster, slicing through his jacket and shirt and causing a deep gash in his side. He bit his lip to avoid crying out in pain.

Fortunately, that was the only area-attack Ken made. Miles listened to Ken's speech about Divine, highly skeptical of what Ken said. He watched as Ken through himself through an inferno and out the other side, his swords breaking at the last moment before they could hit Noira. Ken fell back to the ground dead next to his defeated comrade. Miles would have breathed a sigh of relief, except that Noira was still flying around as a dragon. He had no idea of her intentions and whether or not she would attack. If she did, they were in a bad position to respond. "Kasumi....Weapon mode," he breathed, holding out one hand to her while he held the gash in his side with the other. If Noira attacked, they weren't going down without a fight.
