Selene had let others walk off, and just stood there where the tablet had been - but no longer was - because Tex took it away from her. She had a pitiful face, as the only attempt she'd ever tried to make, for actually being helpful, had been completely ignored.
She liked getting ignored. She did! Except things had changed in the last day or two, and she had at least wanted to attempt to break out of her shell. That attempt failed and would never be repeated so long as she lived.
She nodded her head softly and patted Carafe's head, content to stand there and watch the world go by-
But she was moving with it.
"Aaaa what is-" Selene squeaked, flailing helplessly in Tarot's arms until she realized who it was that was holding her. "Oh.. oh I am so sorry, Tarot. You don't have to.."
But she did. And it was probably for the best. So Selene shut up about it, and curled into a ball, letting Selene carry her like a fruit basket.
With a snake in it.

Cains words did manage to hit home with the were penguin. It was true the were penguin wasn't really wanting to run this town - but power interested him making the lure of the treasure so much more. The penguin lined his pants pockets with some of his nest treasure, and through the rest back in to the water. It was in the water, he could come back later for it. "Hey. Like you'd know Cain," He gave him an edgy rival grin before picking up his shirt, vest and tie. The shoes could stay in the water. "YO BELLA!" He cried to the Fallen. "I'm gonna head on out," he slipped his hands back in his pockets to feel what was his and only his before heading on out. ((Exit))

By this time, Bella had covered herself in so much treasure, that her dancing twirls had become more of a sluggish, heavy sway. She finally flopped down into the water, and sank to the bottom.
Where she lay for the rest of her unlife.
She pulled the necklaces off, and popped back up out of the water, just in time to hear Rowly yell his goodbyes. "ALL RIGHT SCREECHHEART, I'LL COME FIND YOU LATER."
Then she flopped back in the water again, and started floating lazily, staring up at the top of the cave. Her hands dropped down into the water, weighed down by the rings she still wore.
She wasn't keen on leaving just yet. Even though everybody else was.

Oh, this were-b*****d clearly wanted to fight. Cain's eyes flashed visibly at Rowly's response, and he gritted his teeth, baring them, his entire body bristled. His hands had come out of his pockets, clenched into fists, but the demon somehow managed to keep himself in check, somehow managing to keep himself from storming towards the were-penguin and knocking him flat on his a**. Instead, the baphomet merely stood there, watching as the monster lined his pockets with the gold, hoarding as much as he could before sauntering past him. Cain was sorely tempted to move so he bumped shoulders with the other boil as he went past, but that too he somehow restrained himself from doing, his eyes glaring icy daggers at the other student as he walked out.
Rowly's call to Bella was probably the first time the demon had thought about the ghoul since their prickly encounter at the festival. Almost immediately his attention shifted from the 'retreating' monster, straightening visibly as he turning back towards the inside of the canyon, his silver eyes flicking around to find her. When her voice echoed to his right in a replied goodbye to Rowly, Cain's eyes snapped to her, focus returning to seething irritation to cover up that he'd been looking for her at all, his expression dark and brooding. She seemed completely unfazed by... well, anything at the moment, floating there lazily in the water, and for a second he growled low and deep in the back of his throat. Possibly because she looked for peaceful. Her rose-colored hair curled in lazy tendrils around her head, making her look almost angelic, reminding him acutely of times long past, memories long burned of her hair tousled on overly plush pillows.
He just had to ruin it. Because if she wasn't happy with him, he didn't want her to be happy at all.Suit or not, Cain practically stormed into the pool, water splashing angrily as he approached the floating ghoul, eyes glinting even more steel-like. Rational be damned. When he was close enough, the demon reached for Bella, his larger, stronger hands wrapped around her upper arm, jerking her upright and towards him, getting right up in her face as he half-snarled at he. "What do you think you're doing?" he hissed, giving her a mean little shake. Grabbing for her other hand with his own, he lifted it to her face, showing her the rings which weighed down her hands. "What do you trying to do, drown yourself? Take that s**t off."

Snowman looked around, well... there wasn't much else to look at unless he wanted to take treasure. George was squeaking eyeing some coins. Snowman frowned, "I... don't think we need it, George." He said as he headed back, it was getting kind of lonely around here.

It was... Defenders time. Moira gave Norvie a serious look. "Sorry, spookie - I gotta go. See you later, though? The festival's not over yet!" She quickly made sure she had all her headcrabs before hurrying off, waving at Norvie before hurrying to the exit. ((Exiting~))

Bella seriously did not expect anyone - let alone Cain - to disturb her at that moment. For once, she'd been at peace, when he came to ruin it as he did so well. Her face was pure shock as he pulled her out of the water and shook her, but when she sobered up enough to realize just who was shaking her, the shock melted into livid rage. "Listen, you.." She growled, both of her hands wrapping around his to try and wrench it free from her arm. "You have like, all of five seconds to get your dirty hands off me before I bite it off with my teeth and keep it as a souvenir." He had no right. NO RIGHT to be touching her, let alone telling her what to do and ruining her happiness. He'd done enough of that, already.

There was that obnoxious sound from his obnoxiously large skellyphone that demanded his attention, and Argyle frowned down at the message there, realizing that...welp. They may have ******** up this time.
But it was a human. Wasn't it?
Sighing loudly, he plodded out of the cave, exiting with the others.

This was all a little unfulfilling for Taru. Where were the answers to all of those questions she still had buzzing around at her ears? It left an itching frustration, a desperation to really figure it all out.
She left without a word, hoping that they might be able to demand an explanation from one of the adults.

It wasn't her shock, but her fury at his actions which coaxed the demon to tilt his head back and give her a mocking, mirthless laugh, clearly unfazed by her threats. His eyes, too, held none of the amusement they should have, cold and hollow of any emotion but contempt as he stared down at her, watching her struggle against his grip. Even as he watched, a little voice in the back of his mind absently told him he was probably going to leave bruises, but there was no urgency lingering there, merely the informative tone more appropriate for a comment like 'your shoe is untied' or 'the sky is blue,' merely a fact which could be observed. Even if there had been some sort of concern in this subconscious thought, which would have most likely been concern of how others might see the situation, Cain was well past the point of even social conventions. He had only cared about things of that nature just enough, and now that even that was gone, his cruelty had no safeguard. Tightening his fingers on her arm even further, the demon sneered at her, his anger calmer now, if only because her rage satisfied him.
"Dirty huh?" He replied with dark skepticism, one eyebrow lifted, "I do apologize, I considered you defiled long before this."

Oh Jack! What was Red doing here?
Just when things were getting interesting, the call was made, and with a huff, Kani rose up and dusted off her skirt. Well, so much for digging around a cave. Hopefully it wouldn't be closed off for later, and if it was, she hoped she could offer herself a short few day internship guarding this before graduating. Never hurt.
"Alright. Alright." She headed out after Red.

Malther found the water alurring, even after his first dip in, he continued to stick his head under listening to the strange voice. It was soothing. Like the sound of grinding stone and clicking teeth. It was home.
After a few more dips he finally snapped too noticing Red calling the defenders away. Offering only a shrug he started after the others with a slightly dreamy look on his face.

Manny always knew he could trust his friends to give him the much needed kick in the pants. There were few things he would proactively go for and even then his tendency of self-sabotage got in the way. Except right now with the treasures, which he felt a need to search for more. "Wonder why these are all here and not up there?" he asked, gesturing to the small collection Radoch and Tesar had accumulated.
He'd gotten down on all fours to search when he felt an onrush of air as most of the other students began to leave. "Anak ng tipaklong, I'm thinking we should head on out. Maybe no one'll make us put these back," he hoped as he stuffed a few ornately carved coins into his jeans pocket.

Bella stopped struggling for a minute, and just stared up at him. Almost anyone could make Bella angry - it was really quite easy. But not many people could actually hurt her, and Cain cut her straight to the core. She pulled her arm away weakly one last time, before her eyes filled with tears.
And that got her angry.
"CAIN, YOU SORRY SACK OF s**t-" Her entire body shook as she fought tooth and nail to get away from him, "I'M GONNA RIP EVERY INCH OF YOUR SKIN OFF AND PIN IT UP ON THE BULLETIN BOARD IF YOU DON'T LET ME GO YOU FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKER-"
Every inch of her body was now wailing at him, trying to rip him to shreds.
