Battle System update (Still under construct)Attack moves --
Moves that are Not Very Effective do 75% of regular damage
Moves that are Super Effective do extra 25% damage
-
APPLIES AFTER rolls of 3 and 11
(Weaker attack), as well as 6 and 12
(Critical hit)-- Rolls of 3 or 11 reduce the damage of the Not Very Effective
(NVE) or Super Effective
(SE) before the effectiveness calculation is applied.
I.E: Tackle against Rock-type
> Tackle (50 Base Damage) hits a Rock-type for 50 damage, but a 3 is rolled, reducing the 50 damage by 25%, making it 37.5, or 38 (Player chooses);
>> THEN the NVE is applied at 75% regular damage, making it:
>>> (
If using 37.5) 28.125, or 28 (Also Player's choice);
OR
>>> (
If using 38) 28.5, or 29 (Also Player's choice).
ORNew situation: Bite against Psychic-type
> 60 Base damage, but a 6 is rolled, increasing the damage by 20%, making it 72;
>> Then SE is applied at 25%, thus resulting in 90 damage.
(If this still doesn't make sense:
The dice roll is applied first, then the Super Effective/Not Very Effective is applied)
Attack Side-effects --
Moves that have side-effects such as Paralysis, Poison, etc.
- State the percentage of the side-effect, and roll
A SINGLE 100-sided die. If the result of the dice roll is
LESS than the percentage, then it is a success.
I.E:> Discharge has a chance to cause Paralysis at 30%;
>> (1) 100-sided die is rolled, and the result is 30 or lower, then Paralysis is applied to the opponent.
(See Triple Battle in R101 on
pg10-11 with Cheren/Lunick/Ruby for a better example, Lunick posts specifically)

Now... if ANYTHING still doesn't make sense, please, I ask you to take some time and shoot me a PM. I will do what I can to explain anything that is confusing.
