"Never said I didn't want to be one. But I didn't ask to be one either. Blame my father." She shrugged and laid back on her back, looking up at the clouds moving incredibly slow across the almost red and orange sky.

"A bunch of Athena kids blame your father." Jack said, joking. He had heard several kids make fun of Ares. Calling him 'Dumber than the Minotaur'. He had found it funny before, but for some reason he hadn't now.

Jessie just looked at him, and didn't respond. The demi-god sighed and shook her head. Geez Father, do you piss everyone off?

Jessie's eyes widened slightly as she grinned. "Man, I forgot I had cut that up pretty badly." She examined her arm carefully, and since she forgot about it, it probably wasn't painful for her to notice it. "It's fine."

"I know." She closed her eyes, and tried her best to relax. Though, it was hard to do so when there was so much background noise.

"Gods I hate camp." Jack muttered, lying back and closing his eyes. It was so boring there. Every so often a monster would attack, be killed, and life went on. There really wasn't much to do.

Jessie shrugged. "Well, most of everyone entertains themselves with their own relationship problems, or stupid drama like that." It was pitiful. If Jessie ever did find a boyfriend, there was no way she would obsess over it the whole time. It seemed so worthless.

"Even though I'm not really supposed to care that much, if I truly cared about someone enough, I'd face the wrath of my parent." She shrugged. It was true. Romeo and Juliet did, though that was kind of a horrible example...
