transports are way to go, when youre in rhino you can ignore small arms, which have still chance to penetrate power armor... plus you get mobility - plus you get mobile cover for the skyclaws

Rhinos are good little taxis, but drop pods are better. Not to mention more dramatic an entrance. blaugh

Its a shame that you dont have the points for a Land Raider Transport for the Wolf Guard Battle Brother

That looks like a pretty sweet list, you've got enough manpower to take objectives and keept them and the mobility to get there fast. Although taking a land raider would eat a lot of points, if you want to you could shave some points off of other units and put your wolf guard in a drop pod.

It cant be done, Space Wolves in terminator armour cannot be mounted in Drop Pods

It doesnt say that. the wolf guard entry says you can take a drop pod and the drop pod entry says no fenrisian wolves or thunderwolves, it doesnt mention terminators. Also the entry for terminator armour says you can't put them in rhinos or razorbacks, once again it doesnt mention drop pods although they count as 2 models for transpor capacity so you can only put 5 terminators in a drop pod

Its an interesting idea, but without the squad choice then its going to be difficult to drop the points for the transport

well he'd have to drop a wolf guard to put them in it anyway, that'll cover the cost of the pod and he'd have a couple of points spare to maybe buy a really cheap wargear for someone like say a wolf tail talisman or something. That is assuming you didn't want to attatch the battle leader to the wolf guard

You'd have to ask him that when he comes back on. If you look at it, the Wolf Guard Battle Leader would be better suited to go with the Wolf Guard. He couldn't go with any other unit, he'd look out of place

well, SW termies can have drop pods to make up for the lack of teleportation, checked that in the codex, and I'd seriously reccomend that way of getting them into the enemys backyard to cause maximum mayhem - a thing SW love to do smile

Well you can teleport them, it isnt a rule like it used to be in the old SW codex but everyone will grumble at you for not playing wolves properly
