Cooro smiled, "I have never forgotten the past. I work in a hospital for humans. That is how I am. I dedicate my elongated life to helping those who live short lives. I think it is fine Adelle." He said truthfully. Smiling Cooro stood up. "I'm sure you could borrow something of Mara's. Come along dear, choose from anything. I will meet you downstairs."
"Around these parts we are forbidden to enter the city. The city belongs to them, the forest to us. It has always been that way. There is no changing laws." Hannah said stiffly. "It goes against every moral of our kind.
As gentle as the touch of a butterfly the wild child placed her hand in Arsenii's as he seemed to lead her down the hill and to the gleaming lights of the crowded city. She walked with the air of a princess. Her ghostly white hair reached just down to her shoulders. Resting on her shoulders was a dark red jacket, just the same tint as her eyes. This jacket was nothing spectacular. It was casual, something a kid might wear when their mother told them they needed to cover up. There was a hood off the back in case she need to play the part of an upset child, or a girl who didn't want any crap. The jacket was light, but suited her purpose well. She wore under it a white turtle neck, and just at the base of that she wore a black mini skirt that jumped ever so slightly as she walked. It was a simple, non outstanding outfit, but it suited her purpose.

Rue plopped into the cracked, old leather bus seat. She takes out her iPod, her thumb sliding on the surface as she looked through songs. Listening to music was the best way to tune other people out. Her 'power', or so she called it, not knowing what else it could be, could be very hard to ignore. Just as she was beginning to feel grateful that there weren't a lot of people on the bus, the man sitting behind her suddenly shifted in mood. She literally felt his calm fade away and a new aura began to emit from him. It was no longer a quiet quaint bus ride for him. Rue felt it as he became a little bit more intent on her. She stiffens and then sighs in disgust as she realizes where his thoughts were headed. She closes her eyes, wanting to know exactly how he was thinking of her. All she caught was glimpse; she saw herself lying on her back... naked. Rue wips her head around, catching him in her piercing gaze. He gasps, startled. It was clear he hadn't expected that at all. Rue can feel a mixture of both shame and embarrassment with a small twinge of disbelief wash over him. She eyed him a minute more, never blinking to silently clarify that she did indeed know what he had been thinking. He sat there unblinking too, unsure what to do. Rue finally turns her head away from him. Behind her, she feels the man scuttle out of his seat and move quietly to the back. Rue only gives a small smile and turns the volume up on her iPod.

Arzachel chuckled when he caught sight of Eve. "A good evening to you, Eve." He said leaning against a painter's scaffolding as she came close. He smiled visibly and pleasantly, his cloak fluttering a bit in a breeze.
Zack laughed heartily and followed after her closely. "I'm right behind you!" He said cheerfully.
Lucius grinned at their antics and teleported to the front entrance of the building and waited for the two to arrive.

Mara reached out to take Zacks hand before she quickly descended the stairs. She was drawn to the darkness, it called her. She could not ignore. It wasn't long till they were on the bottom floor. Mara saw Lucius, and looked quickly behind her. He wasn't there. Somehow he was ahead of them. She tilted her head to the side curiously. "How... did he do that Zack?" She asked softly.

Zack laughed. "All I can say is that he's magic." He told Mara. "I wish he would teach me how to do that, but he says that I'm not ready yet." Zack said as they got close.
Lucius chuckled. "It would take much too long to explain the specifics." He told them. "But the fact remains I can only do it over a certain distances. And there are other times when it doesn't work at all." He added.

"Thank you father." Adelle smiled amorously. Mara's room had always held a homely air, much unlike her own cold, informal adobe back across the Atlantic. One would never assume this was the room of a vampire. "Oh, comment beau." She smiled, pulling a light summer dress from the closet. The cloth was an airy white; comfortable and simplistic, it fluttered around her ankles. Adelle twirled about before the mirror, almost convinced she was mortal again; at least that is what her tawny skin tone said.
"Father, are we ready?" Adelle took the last few steps towards the street, admiring his tall, elegant form. Eve smiled with delight. "You are just the person I was looking for. First, let me give my apologies for my past tirade. I do not tolerate that kind of tone, kidding or not. Fighting seemed futile." Eve paused to adjust her coat, and jump atop the ledge beside him. "Secondly, I feel something amiss in Laytham. I know the Aeacus are here, as I can sense you, but this new energy is something different all together. It invigorates me." Her golden eyes lit with excitement. Julian was bemused by the female's tone. "And you are positive they do not exist inside city limits? Hmm..." He placed a slender hand beneath his chin in thought. "This will not do at all." Arsenii intertwined his fingers in hers, with a devilish grin. He relished in the stares. Humans were such curious creatures. Tika was certainly a beautiful girl, and he knew he was attractive, without doubt. He could smell the hormones; hear the whispers. "Do you enjoy the attention, Tika?" He kept a forward glare, almost a head above the rest of the crowd. "Are we abominations, or an attraction?" [ Oh, comment beau. = Oh, how nice / beautiful. ]

"It is of no worry, I can understand how you might feel. Anyways, I have sensed these intriguing new presences, indeed. And it has me in an excitable state myself, I will not deny that." Arzachel said with a grin. "I've not sensed a presence like that for a very long time. It is quite exciting." He said, his hand running down the pull cord for the window washing platform for a moment. "But we shall see what they are about soon enough, considering that they do not seem to be trying to cloak themselves. I suggest patient indirect observation, at this moment in time." He recommended.
Lucius waved for Zack and Mara to follow him. "Let's get going." He said with a smile. "I wish not to keep them waiting too long if they arrive before us."

Mara shook her head, amazed. She could move fast, but she had never seen a non vampire or werewolf move that quickly. Slightly dazed she stepped forward. "Y-yes, of course!" Mara exclaimed.
Cooro, who had been standing in the entry way waiting for Adelle turned and watched his daughter walking down the stairs. He knew the dress she wore, one of his personal favorites. "Adelle, you look beautiful." Cooro said meeting her at the bottom of the stairs and offering her his arm. "I am quite ready." Cooro said bowing. "Now come along Adelle. Let us go see Mara and her friends."
"I have not seen them with my own eyes outside city limits." Hannah said softly. "I have seen the destruction of this camp, but I did not witness it for myself."
Tika smiled to herself. She hugged Arsenii's arm and snuggled her head against his side. "I do my dearest." She giggled like the gentle ring of bells making several boys around them stop and look in her direction. "I would saw attraction." Tika said winking at one of the cuter men. "How about you Arsenii."

Rue slips off the bus and out onto the sidewalk thanking the bus driver. She breathes in and then walks on down the broken sidewalk. She already knew what awaited for her at home - a drunk father, sure to already be passed out. Still, she takes her time walking. Admittedly, it wasn't just because of her father that she took her time. She liked her nightly chats with her friend Wayne. He was a vampire. He never had much to offer in their chats, but that didn't matter to Rue. Everyone thought of vampires as being myths. Rue herself felt alien compared to other people and when she got to talk to Wayne, she felt less abstract.
Wayne lights a cigarette as Rue passes by. He extends an arm, letting it hang out from out of the alley way, while the rest of his body leaned against the building side. He chuckles as Rue walks into his extended arm and jumps back, startled. "You should look up when you walk", he says, smiling as she glowers at him. He turns, but signals with a lazy wave of his hand for her to follow.
"You're hilarious", Rue remarks sarcastically. Usually, her power would've alerted her of his presence, but he never emits enough emotion for her to pick up on him. This is another reason why she likes being around Wayne. Her powers didn't bother her. "So, where are we going?"
Wayne shrugs and a large stream of smoke leaves through his mouth and nostrils. "Just taking a walk."

Zack griped her hand and smiled. "Its shocking I know. He must be in a really good mood, not to say that he is ever in a bad mood, but this must be something. The only other times he's done that, that I know of, are times when I was in trouble and tried to lock myself in my room." He said as he led her after Lucius who was walking with a slight spring in his casual strides.

Holding Zack's hand gently in hers she followed along slightly behind him. "He does seem very joyful, look at that hop in his step." She smiled looking over at Zack, "How are you holding up Zack? Are you having a good time?" She thought for a moment, he wouldn't have been happy then, perhaps that just brought meaning to teleport. It wasn't her concern though. Mara was just happy to be out of the building and out in the night.

Eve let a waft of chilling, stormy air pass by her, brushing the long dark hair from her gaunt face. "Well then I shall join you in silent observation." She crossed one leg over the other, seating comfortably. "And do you have a personal vendetta with any of these vampires in Laytham? You are solitary whenever I come across you." Adelle flushed crimson. "Thank you." She spoke sheepishly, taking her place by his side. The night had finally settled in, in dark gray swirls across the sky. Not even the stars were visible under such storm clouds. "Is the weather here always this gloomy?" Julian turned his head in all directions, observing the environment and his options. "Alright then. It is night anyway. Nosferatu are walking about. Where do you two typically sleep?" "An abomination, through and through." Arsenii smiled, pleased with his demeanor. "Though these fools see an attractive foreigner." He pulled Tika sharply around a corner, into a dark, damp alleyway. "And they are this way." He sent a dark glare down the road. Cooro, you and I, we will meet tonight. Arsenii knew any old friend of Letalis, specifically one that was harboring Aeacus.

Cooro shook his head. "No my dear, it is not usually this gloomy." Cooro smiled sadly. He looked to the sky. The clouds did seem dark and quite dreary. "There is a lot going on Adelle." The doctor said soberly. "There is much conflict here, and the earth knows it. I wonder if the skies will be clear again before this is over."
"At our cabin out in the woods." Damian said with an invitational tone. "Would you like to join us, we can go into the city tomorrow?"
Tika laughed softly at Arsenii's side. "You are too bad my lord." She said looking up into his attractive face. Her long, slender, pale neck lay exposed to the moonlight as she looked up to him. "Then an abomination we will be together." She said softly though pale lips. As Tika's eyes searched Arsenii's face she felt a shiver run though her. The vampire had something in his mind, something that he was thinking hard about. He wanted to get to them, these people he was destined to meet. Did he really know where they were, or how to find them in this city. She followed along silently.

Arzachel smiled and shook his head. "It is not so much a personal vendetta, so much as the vampires I run into are, either too uncultured and wild, or are too obsessed with their little world orders, and other such notions that I simply cannot abide them. Abuses of immortality in my eyes." He explained. "Though they don't seem to like me much either." He said with a chuckle. "The point is, their affairs are anathema to how I live. People these days simply can't take a little mystery or patience, even those that once had respect in my eyes. I only settled in Laytham because there is a presence here that is so very... unique. Much unlike anything that I have encountered, previously." Arzachel said, a tone of interest in his voice, as he leaned elegantly.
As it so happened, Lucius was happy. Happy for Zack, the boy he had taken in under his stead. But the teleport was of significance, not out of unhappiness but caution. New presences had become aware in his mind, and he wanted to make sure that Zack and Mara were safe. He turned to Zack with a smile. "To keep the record straight, I was not angry the second time." He clarified. "You had gotten stuck in your Naga form and had frightened a lot of people, in mid daylight. I was simply frustrated, at the work of finding and making sure that nothing got too far because of it."
Zack sighed, "Yeah, yeah. But you had just givin the form to me, and I didn't know it had a time limit. I thought it was like my Coyote form. I was a kid when it happened." He protested, futilely.

Mara listened silently until Zack commented. She giggled softly to herself. She watched Lucius thoughtfully. She wanted to read what was in his mind. She could possibly get a lot of answers from that. She wasn't sure if she had told Zack or not about her ability. She didn't like to use it unless she had permission, but she was curious. "So where is this place?" Mara asked skipping along happily.
