((Meh, Kiyoko's been asleep long enough.
WARNING: very long.))

As they entered and went through the castle, she realized that it was completely empty. For some odd reason, Ray was no longer a clown, but in a dashing knight's armor, looking serious as they all went to the top of the tower. As they reached the two enormous golden doors, they all looked at each other. Then they pushed the door open.

Upon the roof, one could see the sky, but the sun was now setting; had it really taken the whole day to reach the top? Or was time distorted to confuse them? In the middle of what looked like an altar, a bright glowing object sat in a glass case. It was too bright to make it's shape out, but it HAD to be the Light of Purity. There was no other substitute.

In complete joy, the group gave a simulatanious whoop of joy. "We made it!" Celia cried out. As they all rushed towards it, a sudden mysterious smoke cloud appeared before them, blocking their path. These were followed suit by other smaller smoke blobs, but the large one appeared first. It was a familiar blond, wearing a skimpy black outfit with large pointy black boots. It was like a mix of a bustler and a skirt, showing off her shoulders. She was wearing black fishnet stockings, and strange bands on her arms. Her eyes were a bright evil red, her teeth sharp as a shark's as Lucy grinned at them. "Well, did you REALLY think it was going to be that simple? I think not." she answered. The other smoke bombs appeard as small creatures, bloodthirsty and quite ugly, like hidious mutants.

Immediately battle broke out. The group of heroes pulled out weapons: swords, sheids, staffs of power and began to fight them. One by one the monsters began to weaken and disappear into puffs of smoke, not to return again. But the swarms kept coming, eventually overtaking them to a point where they were hiding to make a quick plan.

"What do we do? As long as she has the crystal nothing can stop her." One of the chicks cried out (who were hiding in a magician hat each).
"Let's ask the great mages." suggested Celia, and she performed some sort of spell to bring a hologram like smoke figures to them. Their were Star and Josh, both in magificent outfits of gold and red, and silver and purple. They merely smiled as they gave the suggestion:

"One of you must get the crytal while the others fight. Once it's lifted from that evil case, since Lucy tied her life and power to it, she'll disappear back to the demon world." Star answered.

"Question is: who is the least noticable and teh most agile?" Josh asked, looking about the group.

There was complete silence momentarly; it was a suicide task, almost, since one bad move would end it quickly yet painfully. ".....I'll do it." Kiyoko heard herself answer. Ray had a look of protest, but Star and Josh cut him off before he could protest with an agreed nod. The brother and sister duo then disappeared back into purple smoke. With grins on them all, the group rushed back into teh fray, attacking harder than ever.

It was almost too easy weaving through the crowds of monsters; it was as if she was swimming through a crowded sea of creatures. It wasn't until she reached the second step that lead to the altar that the monsters and Lucy took notice, and ran towards her. It was now or never; she had to run to make it. Her feet flew up the stairs, Lucy and a few high-class monsters following suit. She pulled out her weapon quickly, smashing her staff into the glass, reaching into it at the same time....

Everything bursted into light as she was able to grab hold of the precious holy object; she couldn't look into her folded arms for the brightness. In fact, she could see nothing, but her ears reassured her. Lucy's screams of pain seemd to erupt as Kiyoko felt a clawed hand leave her shoulder; there were cheers from her freinds and Mr. K; everything was ok. She did it; the war was over. Now for eternal peace; she held the light against her tenderly, thankful for everything......

-------------------------------------------------------
Kiyoko slowly came back into consciousness, but she was scared to open her eyes; what had happened? Where was she, and why? She had to take a minute and let her mind give her clues. Whatever had happened before was a dream, and it was momentarly messing with her real life thoughts. It was a nice dream, though.

First off, she was somewhere with a soft comfy surface, lying horizontal. Her head was lying on something soft; a pillow. She was covered in fuzzy blankets, quite warm and comfy. Most of her didn't feel like moving right now. She was holding something soft and familiar; after feeling it a bit with her fingers she realized it was her doll. She felt somthing falling infront of her face; it took a moment to realize it was her hair. She was in some sort of bed, a radio playing quietly in the background. She was getting a reeeeally weird feeling of deja vu, but why? Just where-

Then it hit her all at once; the school, her new friends, the storm:

Michael's face suddenly appeared in her head; a demonic pupil-less man, the cramped feeling of being squished, a gun pressing to her leg...

"Wrong answer...."

Kiyoko gasped and sat up quickly, eyes open wide and panicking for a moement. Bad idea; she suddenly felt dizzy and she held her head in her hand; she had sat up too quickly. Afer laying back down, she then looked around her and sighed: she was in the school hospital. Michael was gone; everything would be ok....or would it?

Thinking about it harder, this was probably freaking out everyone: Star, Suzy, Conall, the school, Ray.....it was horrible repeat of last year. She hit the side of the bed in anger; she didn't want this! This was why she moved; to have a clean slate, to not be picked on for being a tattle tale and weak....

After a few seconds of this bed-side pounding, she sighed and shifted her leg. She noticed immedately that something was wrapped around one of them, and she winced at the pain it brought. Not as bad as before, but still a bit stingy. Oh yeah, she had been shot in the leg. She sat up and took off the covers and looked at it. The bullet hole was completely covered in guaze and bandages, a bit below the knee. But it didn't hit the bone, thank god! As she sat up, she suddenly felt a familiar not so good feeling. She quickly looked to her right, at the end of the lines of empty beds. She got up, and flatted out her dress. Now that she looked at it, it was pink and more hospital gown-ish, with red and blue hearts all over it. She quickly limped across the hall to the bathroom, and shut the door behind her quickly.

A few minutes later she was washing her hands, feeling much better. She looked into the mirror at herself. She looked a bit pale, still shakey, and her hair was like a rat's nest! She must have been sleeping for awhile. As she opened the door, the nurse waited on the other side, looking concerned then relieved.

The nurse from before smiled as she watched Kiyoko come back out. She rushed to her, keeping her steady, for she was still a bit weak. "There you are! Warn me when you disappear like that next time; it's my job to keep you well and from hurting yourself! And you're awake; how wonderful! Your friends will be happy to hear. Come now; let's get you back to bed for a moment; some water, perhaps? I'll fix that hair of yours if you'd like; it's a mess, no offense. You'll see your friends in a bit; don't worry." she grinned, as she took the girl's hand, leading her back to the bed. As she covered her back up in blankets and sat her up, the nurse began to explain what had happened as she fixed Kiyoko's hair. "Get this girl some water and a some food, please. Oh, and tell those in the room that she's awake and will be able to take visitors in about 20 minutes or so." she added, and the second nurse left the room, heading towards the meeting room.

Conall listened to Kiyoshi, and chuckled grimly.
-"Oh yeah, I'm familiar with his 'work'. Half of it was blamed on me at some point. I got out of it, luckily, but he never got caught."

Shirou sighed; he was afraif of that. "Alright, let's just not mention that to Kiyoko; she's probably scared to death as it is already, I don't think she needs that image."

Hearing the door knock again, he got up. Whoever was out there the first time was still there; no one had opened it. There, he gasped a tad: there was Ms. Espiosa, and another nurse.

"Adr-er, Ms. Espiosa, come in! Are you feeling alright?" he asked her, examining her closely before offering her his chair; he didn't mind standing. Seeing as the nurse wanted to speak with him, he motioned that he'd return shortly, and went out of the room real quick. "Can I help you?" he asked the lady.

After hearing the news she had to give, he sighed in relief as she went to go fetch the now-awake Kiyoko food and drink. He was grinning as he re-entered the room and stood at the front of them all, after shutting the door behind him. "Well, Kiyoko is awake and fine. We'll be able to see her in a bit; they want to get her recovering before we all barge in there."

"Now, for Kiyoko's sake: if I were a crazy cheerleading girl whose boyfriend just shot an enemy, where would I hide? Any suggestions, since I'm no woman nor cheerleader?" he asked them.

Kiyoko's hair was now fixed, bow and all, and she was quietly nibbling on some fruit and drinking water as the nurse talked to her. The storm had now begun again, no lighting but it began to rain and hard, and it could be heard in teh background. Kiyoko now knew that Michael was being held up front, everyone was across the hall, and that she'd be able to leave in a bit; just be very careful and not to be alone too often. She was still scared, paranoid, on the inside, and she knew that the nurse could see it.

"But, wont they tighten procedures now? Since there's been a shooting, everything's gonna be full panic, right? And it's my fault...." she looked down on her plate guilty.

"No no no; the student was caught! That would mean since that was the problem, then there shouldn't be anything to worry about. I mean, sure, things might go a little bit tighter, but it's a huge storm anywho. And dont' blame yourself; you've just been having some bad luck, tis all." she reassured hte girl, turning Kiyoko's head towards her. "Look, you have friends that are worried for you; don't blame everything on yourself. Some stuff is out of our control, and this is one of those things." she answered, getting Kiyoko to smile slightly, then she contiued eating and the nurse making conversation.

"....So, in conclusion, your daughter is fine, mam. After reviewing the tape, we've got evidence and everything. I'm sorry, but on the school's behalf charges will be placed on him, as well as a court date. However, since this was a gunshot and more severe in theory, we can hire a lawyer and none of you will have to go to court; he or she would do the job for you, under our name. Not a common procedure, but I agree that this is an unusual case, and I'm sure your daughter wouldn't want to suffer that mess again."

"Exactly. I'm just glad she's ok, though I do want to talk to her! Is she awake?"

"Not sure, but even if she is, she's probaly not fully awake and ready. Have your phone lines been fixed finally? I heard the neighborhood was having power issues."

"Yes, actually! The lines finally got fixed an hour ago, so could I call back? Please?" Kiyoko's mother asked desparately.

"I'll call you when the doctor is sure that she's ok and ready; I don't wanna defy her orders; she'd chase me around with a needle!" The principal laughed. "But yes, I'll visit her myself first, just to make sure, ok?"

"Ok. Thank you so much!"

"It's no trouble; it's my fault in the first place. I should have kept better procedures on things; students, guns, etc.

Well, I must be going. I'll call you back when she's avaiable."

After short goodbyes and the principal hung up the phone, she sighed. It's been a long day, but this was awful! A shooting, by a student to another student! But at least they weren't going to go through the same crud as from what happened in their old city; she was going to make sure of that. She got up, and exited the office with a clipboard, heading towards the nurses' office. She paused as she saw two students on the ground, one comforting the other, who was crying. "You ok?" she asked, kneeling down to be closer to them. They were right next to the room of the shooting.

Star looked up as she saw the principal kneel doen beside them. "Yeah. i mean, yes ma'am. I'm sure he'll be fine." Star said, giving a smile.

The principal also smiled. "I'm sure he's just a bit shaken. Why don't we go see how the girl is recovering; I'm heading that way anyways, and it might ease both of your minds." she answered them, as she got up and waited to see if they would follow.

"Wait, you're one of the witnesses, correct? Just checking, don't worry!" she added quickly to Star. "I just figured you'd be in the meeting. Just clearing your mind for a bit, I"m guessing? Can't blame you one bit; I'd probably do the same thing." she realized she was rambling, and stopped. This whole mess was her fault in the first place, anyways, so why should she try and cheer THEM up? She was surprized they weren't screaming at her for lack of security.

Star closed her eyes, not wanting to go back to the room. "Uhh..yeahh. I'll be there in a bit.." She said, keeping her eyes closed.

Ray was completely heart broken. He felt like it was all his fault for not being there for her. He had promised to keep her safe and to make sure no one would touch her, but he couldn't even do that. As he was escourted out he felt like he wanted to cry. Once in the hallway he took his anger and guilt out at the wall. "God damn it..." he murmured, before driving his fist into it. He heard several of his nuckles crack and a throbbing pain shoot through his hand. He didn't care though and he wasn't going to go back to the nurse right at this moment.

Ray slowly walked to the room where everyone was. He headed into it and saw Mr. K. "The nurse said you wanted to see me..." he said in a monotone voice. His face looked a bit paler and his eyes didn't seem to sparkle the way they used to. All he wanted to do right now was be with Kiyoko.

Celia had forgotten Al didn't like to see blood. She quickly followed out once she realized why he had run away. She followed him and then saw that he went into the girls room. "Al wrong--!" she tried to call out. She was expecting to hear shrieks or something, but instead she got a calling Al. She headed over to him. He looked pale and confused, like he didn't know how to deal with something.

Celia embraced him in a hug. "I'm sorry, I forgot your blood phobia." she said softly before releasing him. "What is it? What's wrong?" she askd.

Thayli looked up in surprise when Star sat down beside him. When she asked if he was ok he shook his head "It's just way to much at once. I mean, what if someone else gets shot, and is killed this time?" He asked her, his voice shaking as he spoke.

When the Principal came he flinched slightly, not liking the fact that another person found him. He nodded slightly at her question, hoping she would go away. Then he thought of something. "Can't you convince the board people to let everyone move up to the second floor? If anything because of this?" He asked, his voice shaking even worse than before, though it was more out of anger at the board people.

((thank you. ^__^ evil is way better than being a goody-two-shoes))

Star listened to Thayli's suggestion, and well...it made sense. "That's a good idea. I mean, for one thing the cafeteria isn't going to hold everyone forever and it's got the most windows, causing an unsafe environment. Especially with all the wind." She said, backing Thayli up, in case the principle was going to be a bit if-y.

"I'm calling them back in a bit; I've been trying to get them to do that since this morning, but perhaps this event will finally shine the light on those idiots...." she sighed. "It's way safer and easier to keep eyes on people. "But I plan on seeing the girl first, to make sure she's ok."

Shriou sighed as Ray had finally come in; he looked rather heartbroken, and he knew he wanted to be with Kiyoko. Plus, he had yet to shower, so a small gross aroma was flowing from him, as well as Conall. Not to mention the guilt he must be feeling right now; he's probably blaming himself, even though he did nothing wrong. "Well, the good news is that she's awake now, Ray; we'll all go see her in a few minutes. Just taking care of some stuff dealing with this case." he answered, as he gestured him to a seat. The phone suddenly rang. "D*mn, what now?" he grumbled under his breath angerly, and answered it. ".....hello? Ah. Um hm. Oh, alright. You know where we're at, then." he said, and sat the phone back on the hook.

"Well, that timed well: the next part is just about this. The tape that was found on the scene has been reviewed and a copy kept for court procedures. However, we do have an option of letting you all see the tape (and Al, and Celia, but I don't have a clue where they're at, and Star's gone for fresh air). Now, you have a few options. You can either not see it, which is completely understandable, we can see it after visiting Kiyoko (and bring her with us), or before.

But I warn you; this tape will not be edited for court reasons. Meaning you'll see the whole picture, screams, blood and all, so it might be a bit painful. But it will answer a few questions and prove witnesses right. So, before we barge into the girl's room, what do you guys want to do? I'm leaving it up to you." he answered, and waited for them to think it over and speak.

"Oh yeah, and a few of you have yet to shower; not to be rude, but it's quite noticable, but you all have your reasons, and we'll make sure you get a turn, as well as those who aren't here and have yet to do so. Sorry, just pointing it out."

Kiyoko looked at the clock on the wall impatiently; she suddenly felt lonely with the empty room, as if the walls were pressing closer and closer to squish her. She was still paranoid and scared, and would jump at the slightest noise.

She had re-showered completely (since she was covered in blood and dirt before), her hair done AGAIN, and was now laying in the bed with a clean bandage and a dark blue pj nightgown (since a hospital nightgown would be a dead giveaway as to what happened) with bunnies. Again with the bunnies. Her bag was packed and sitting next to her, as she held the doll in her arms; she would be leaving momentarly, just waiting for paperwork. The nurses had decided to surprize the others and have her randomly show up; they figured it be nicer that way.

The nurses re-entered, one putting away paperwork and the other going over some basic recovery rules with Kiyoko; don't run too fast, change the bandage regularly, come visit once a day for checkup, etc. They watched as she got out of bed almost hurriedly after all this, but said nothing as they watched her forget her bag. One of them grinned, and picking up the bag, followed at far away pace.

Kiyoko limped quickly across the hall, the long nightgown that hid her wound trailed a bit behind her. She noticed a dent in the wall as she went by, and wondered if that could have been who she thought it was. But she didn't care right now; she felt almost as if she was being chased, and she needed to get to help. She felt, scared, alone, guilty. She wasn't sure if she even wanted to see them, but only due to how they'd react. Her heart was beating as she kept a safe pace, until she got to the door. She stumbled slightly, but surprizingly was unaware that she still had her doll hugged tight against her in one of her arms as she knocked softly on the door. "Hello?"

Shriou heard it, and sighed. "I'm not getting it this time." he said suddenly, as if he were a lazy bum. But he was really searching for something, unaware of who was on the other side of the door. "One of you lazy bums get off your butts." he joked to the students.

Thayli smiled slightly, wiping the rest of the tears from his eyes. "Let's hope that it does, but would either of you mind if I come to see her too? I just want to see if she's alright." He said, his voice still shaky, but not as bad. Looking at Star he mentally smacked himself. "I never got the chance to introduce myself. I'm Thayli." He said as he held out his left hand
