Portabello walked a labored walk, for he was a little tired from his battle with Proton.
"You want to get back in the ball Portabello?" Mike held up the ball and tilted his wrist, pointing it at him just in case. The Pokemon shook his head, and stood up and put on the facade that he was fine, for Portabello wanted to impress his trainer.
The two soon reached the shore, happily taking in the fresh sea air. "Aahh, this is nice." Mike hopped down the small cliff and saw his two Pokemon playing in the sand.
Titanium was dumping sand on Shiver like a dumptruck, too busy to notice Mike pounce on his back. "Giddy up!" He slapped his Pokemon's side as Shiver and Portabello clamped on as well.
Titanium tore off in circles like an amusment park ride, everyone cheerng on his back.

Nina blinked a little. "Heh... I suppose a little experience couldn't hurt."
"There are Trainers to the east of Vermillion City," Sabrina said. "You may consider fighting them."
Nina nodded. "All right, then. Let's go!" She smiled, and Mihoshi trilled.

Kasiya lead the way, Seto out in front of her and his sharp claws ready. He sliced through plants that seemed to grow back once they'd been passed over, looking more and more pleased with himself every minute. The road to Vermilion was a gradual slope, and they soon found themselves at the gates of Saffron City. Kasiya turned to look back at her traveling companions.

As Ryka and her Pokemon entered Brock's room, he immediatly ran up to her. "Hello, beautiful. Would you care to have lunch with me after we battle?"
"Umm.." She thought for a moment before deciding against it. "Sorry, but I can't.."
"Aww.. why not? Well, we'll talk after the battle, ok?"
"O..k.." She said as she stood on her starting position. The referree came in.
"This battle will commence. Brock, The Leader, versus the challenger, Ryka of Pallet Town. Go!"
"Good luck, my beauty!" Brock yelled across the room. "Go, Geodude!" The rock Pokemon came out of it's Pokeball with a cry.
"Okay, Go, Eevee!" Eevee ran up onto the battlefield. "Eevee, remember, Geodude are very slow. We can beat it with quick attacks! Now, Sand-Attack!" Eevee hurled sand into Geodude's face, stopping it for a moment. "Now, Eevee, run around it! It will get confused!"
"Geodude, snap out of it!" Brock yelled. It got the sand out of it's eyes and reared up for an attack. "Rock throw!" It went over to a rock and picked it up. But it couldn't throw it, because Eevee was running to fast. "Just throw it! You'll probably hit it." It did, but it missed. Eevee kept running around Geodude until it got a little dizzy.
"Okay, Eevee, try a tackle!" She rammed her head into it, knocking it against a wall. "Are you okay, Eevee?" Eevee nodded, and rammed into it again, giving a surprising critical hit, which knocked it out. "Yeah, you go Eevee!" Ryka cheered.

"Well now, doesn''t this place look familiar," Nina said sarcastically, catching up to Kasiya, with Anna and Sabrina soon following. Mihoshi made a short trill almost everytime Nina took a step.

"Geodude is out. Eevee is the winner!" The referree exclaimed.
Ryka glanced over at the sidelines. She saw Len and Tony. "Hey, guys! Thanks for coming!" She yelled. "Good job beating Brock, Tony!"

Tony smiled and waved at her and Len was chearing happily for her. Weed was jumping up and down eagerly doind what Tony supposed was a chearing on dance. Phoenix was just watching on the battle Lens Catterpie was next to her and was chearing the best a Catterpie could.

"Ekans use Poison Sting!" the kid cried, and the snake complied.
Buttefree floated up and out of the way of the attack, flapping her wings gently. "Sleep Powder!" Jaeshan said loudly, and she flittered about the Ekans, a thick, greenish haze covered Ekans.
"No! Shake it off Ekans!" the kid screamed, jumping up and down wildy. The Snake shook the effects of the poweder off, and lunged at Butterfree with a bite, connecting with her foot.
"Use Confusion!" Jaeshan called, and Butterfree distorted the atmosphere around Ekans. Disoriented, it released its grip, and Butterfree hit it hard with a Tackle attack.

She smiled at them. I know we can win. After all, I have the best friends ever.
"Are you ready, beautiful? Go, Onix!" The giant onix roared.
Ryka sighed. "Go get em, Eevee! Run around it again!" Eevee was somewhat tired, but it seemed to want to win this as much as Ryka did. It ran around, but the Onix payed no attention.
"Onix, Bind!" The Onix spun it's tail around until it got Eevee. It squeezed the little Eevee.
"Eevee, try to slip out!" But it was no use. Onix threw Eevee to the ground. "Are you okay? Get up!" It tried, but it was out.
"Eevee is out of the battle!" The referree exclaimed. "Onix is the victor!"
"Oh, no! Eevee, are you alright?" Ryka said as Eevee slowly walked over to her. "Great job, girl." Eevee slowly walked over to the sidelines, to sit with her friends.

"Ok, now let's see girl, we aren't strong enough to battle Sabrina, but I know that Brock is the first to battle for new trainers." Said a young girl to her Vulpix, who was walking beside her looking up at the girl with a hopeful look.
"I'm just glad that whole incident with Team Rocket is over, that Kilik was a creep." She said as she let out a sigh of releif.

When Eevee came over to them Tony reached down and picked up the small pokemon and sat her on his lap and instructed Weed to let out a small puff of Sweet Sent to keep the little Eevee calm so that she wouldn't hurt herself. "You did a good job out there Eevee." He said reasuringly to the Eevee before he turned to watch the match again.

The gates to Saffron once open again, the trio entered the city, which seemed to have crawled out of its gloomy state. People were going about their business, many of them trainers with their Pokemon following. It was soon decided that they would split up and do some shopping, also Sabrina had said something about needing to check in at her gym. Seto still by her side, Kasiya roamed around, trying to remember the last time she'd been to Saffron for a pleasureable visit - the incident with Kilik seemed to haunt her, as well as the fiasco at Mount Moon. She felt a bit of fury rise up in her chest as she looked up at the Siph Co. building.
"Damn you Rockets," she growled. "I will put a stop to you!"

Walking along, the girl looked at the tall buildings and smiled. "You know Kitsune, no matter how many times I come to Saffron, it always amazes me. The tall buildings, the nice people, the fact that something intresting is always happening, I love it."
Kitsune jumped into the girls arms and licked her face, drawing from her good mood. "Vulpix!"
The girl laughed and licked her Pokemon back, soon they were both laughing

Butterfree and Ekans exchanged a few more attacks before the butterfly flitted high into the air and out of the Ekans's reach. "Confusion!" ordered Jaeshan, and the psychic attack hit home. Ekans crumpled into a coil, and its trainer sighed as he recalled it.
"You can go on now," he said, forcing a smile. "I tried my best, I have no regrets." He shook Jaeshan's hand, and the victors advanced.
"Here comes number two!" the voice of a young girl cried out, and she too appeared from practically nowhere. Her challenge consisted of a female Nidoran and a Pidgey, the Nidoran was felled by two Confusion attacks from Butterfree, and and the Pidgey by Mightyena's fangs. Jaeshan wondered how much longer this would go on as he made his way across Nugget Bridge.
