Can anyone help explain the use of mules better my boyfriend is concerned about being considered a botter if he uses a mule because of the fallowing: zmyr88 GAIA
Botting is not allowed.
This includes but is not limited to; using an automated script, macro, or refreshing feature to post, surf webpages or automaticly play games in order to generate Gaia gold or gain Gaia items and/or using multiple accounts to do so is considered botting. Any accounts found to be profiting from botting will be banned.
does' not this impy using a mule?

does' not this impy using a mule?The terms automated and automatically are the key words in that statement. Doing anything that does not require human interaction is considered botting. They use the "multiple accounts" in that statement for meaning you can't get around using a different account to do your botting and then trade it to your main and think you're off free.

having mule accounts is fine.. almost everyone Gaia has at least one mule, if not more. heck, i know even some of the admins/mods have mules. It just how you use them is the issue. like Bri said, if you use a mule to bot, then trade to your main, and you will get in trouble. but using mules for storage usage or RPing with or managing threads is fine. 3nodding

BridgeChan cardi it's the greedy exchangers that made me turn to the marketplace altogether. i remember offering for a katana with the current going-for price + a few extra thousand k. the seller still wanted me to add more. i ended up buying a much cheaper katana in the marketplace.
oh yeah, and there was this exchanger who wanted to buy my kiki kitty for 150k less than the price it was currently going for. and she made it sound like she was doing me a favor @_x.
i think a lot of the exchangers are just trying to pull a fast one over everybody else. it's one of the few things i hate about gaia.
See, what sucks about that, is that for 03' items the vendors charge almost 10x as much to avoid getting ganked on the 2% tax @_x; So I'm really out of luck on that, especially since I have big items instead of pure gold to offer on it :'3 And if I sell the items (i.e. OMG, Horns of the Demon, and Ang. Pendant) no one will want to pay "full" price for them and I'll get ripped there. Not to mention, as soon as I do that, the items I have will surely inflate and then I'll be out a few 100k more on the low price I would have had to accept just to get the pure for them :'3 It's a lose/lose situation these days T0T;;
i did consider pm-ing the marketplace sellers and offering to buy the item for less and splitting the tax between us. of course, response rates to that are low and you are virtually required to have the pure on hand. and yeah, it's a pain to sell off smaller items if you don't want to get dinged by the tax.
i disabled my marketplace notification pms. so that way i have no idea how much in taxes i am paying when i am selling stuff in the mp.

Thursday I was stuck running all over central Indiana for my father. I spent about four to five hours in the car driving back and forth on 32. x.x So around 5:30pm, I finally got around to packing my crap, taking a shower, and loading the truck. Our tail (Reenactment members) show up around 8/9pm. x.x We were suppose to have left by 8. Anyways, I was the first one to drive. I drove all out of Indiana, passed Dayton, OH for about four hours before I was finally tired. I did NOT get to nap before hand at all because of all the errand running that should have been done sooner!
So mom took over the driving until we made it to Virginia and we forced dad to drive the rest of the way.
Friday We get to Clay Pickett's house around 10am. Our tail is so impatient to get set up that we don't really get that much time to talk with Clay and Shaa. So around 11am we're setting up camp. An hour later roughly, the ex and his father shows up. I laughed because they bought a brand new diesel truck and right now that fuel is higher than regular. So I instantly texted my "little sister" Beebs that they showed up and to hurry up. X-D And thus began the silent game!
Our Porter got stuck in the mud and we had to drag his arse out. Then we're setting up all our tents and realize we're missing a ridge beam for the fly. x.x And then Porter's tent is 16 inches longer than ours, so we have to pick up another 2x4 for his ridge! It was awesome. So Beebs and her family show up and we finally start setting up t he A-Tents and the rest of the group starts trickling in.
Sometime after 3pm, the rest of my ex's family show up including new girlfriend! This just makes my weekend even better. I was informed at the end of the weekend that she tried to hide in the Explorer when she saw I was at the event. I'm never one to judge on looks and normally go based on personality... but this girl is more manly looking than my ex. And I instantly felt my "gay-dar" flare up and ping with bisexual. Beebs was my go-between and directly asked the ex and new girlfriend if she was. And BINGO! I was right! The younger brother got a hug out of me.
We get everyone set up and the ex is trying to talk to me when we're working on the mess tent. =.= He kept giving me the goo-goo eyes that FAILED to work.
Saturday I was pretty much the social butterfly all weekend, even if it was misting all damned day. Everyone was so happy to have the old Eve back in camp. I was so exuberant I was to the point of being obnoxious, but everyone seemed to enjoy it. Shoot, even my ego was flared up falsely for my own enjoyment. X-D But I caught everyone up on how I was doing and even talked about my latest interest. <3
I got to try fresh water oysters later that evening. OMG, it was soo good! And again, ex tries to talk to me, I turn my back on him, and start a conversation with Choate. x3
There was suppose to be a dance and I had asked to escort Beebs there in my Corporal dress. Yes. Eve was going to the ball as a guy just to start something in camp. I forewarned quite a few people of my plans, but sadly, the event didn't have half the promised people show up because of rain, so I didn't get to take Beebs to the ball. u.u
Sunday The event was canceled since there was more rain in the forecast. Dad got a really nasty sinus crap so we didn't leave that day. u.u I did say bye to everyone, except the ex and his girlfriend. And I kinda said bye to his parents, but it wasn't really enthusiastic because I am not happy with the s**t they've said about me behind my back (and still demand an apology to my face).
Monday We finally pack up to leave. x.x We got out of there around 11am. We took a longer way home to drop off the trailer with Early. I didn't have to drive any, even though I was prepared to... And we got home around 3am.
Overall It was a very good weekend, even if it was dampened with "misty rain." X-D No one was killed since Hyanth convinced me I don't need him on my record for life. X-D I was entertained to say the least and was definitely entertaining. I was pretty much doing anything and everything I could to make a slight dig since none of my stuff I had asked about was returned as promised to my father. stressed
And I still want an apology that doesn't have an excuse tied at the back. "I'm sorry but I did it because I was angry." =.= That doesn't equal an apology.

I feel so bad for the younger brother. He's the court jester in the palace. Poor kid is a normal teenage boy at the stage of "show me yours and I'll show you mine." Well, now he's got a therapist right after he sent a picture of himself nude to his latest girlfriend. I'm worried that when he gets of age to decide if he wants to remain living with his real parents or moving in with mine (who are his godparents), that it'll happen. xP One of my friends did that when she hit 16 because she couldn't stand the way her parents were treating her. This kid only was spoken to at dinners and even then it was constant picking-on. u.u Yeah, I'm guilty of picking on him, but I always told him I was just playing with him.

It's either this month or next month that I'll be back down in Georgia. My uncle's contract is up in Beckley this month and he knows I'm wanting a break from my father. x.x So I've voiced that I want a vacation in Georgia to see Dante. <3

Ain't it the truth :'3 I did accidentally trick someone into selling me their OMG at a decent price. I was then on a mule looking to purchase the AFK I was trading to her + a bit of pure for the OMG, since she was taking her sweet time about it and I figured if she did accept it, it would be nice to have another AFK to go with the OMG/or to add to my AFK to make a better offer for upgrading. As I was switching back to my main, I noticed she had accepted the trade. I was like, "oh good <3" I was then looking at the AFK prices and panicked that the offer I was offering was way over priced and I would have been out alot of gold. So I jumped on my mule quickly and noticed that luckily the person was offline and I was able to delete my offer post without looking like a jerk. While I was on, deleting my post, I noticed the same person that had traded her OMG to me was now PMing and trying to sell my mule the AFK she got from me for the over-priced offer my mule had posted in that thread. I kinda felt bad that that happened, but she was really trying to eat off that mistake to it's fullest, she was even asking for a bit more than my already crazy mistake offer rolleyes I of course stated that I was mistaken when I made that offer when I had done a little more research and had even retracted my offer in that previous thread about it. She did handle it fairly ok though and stopped PMing me after slightly begging me to do the trade. I guess karma bites the bum sometimes.

Eve: That sounds like an exciting weekend.
We had a bunch of Alumae on campus, and we had to sing to them everynight, which has left one of my suitemates sick.
Although it was funny to see hop the songs changed over the years.
Yours sounds so much more exciting though. XD

It was a very interesting weekend to say the least. At least there were no murders in Virginia.
