Tristan arrived bright and early; he always aimed to arrive before the general crowd. His mind was heavy with thoughts but somehow, he choked them all down to try and focus for the game. But he had to hum to do it. It was a song his mother used to sing to him and his sister, and he hummed along to the tune as he tightened the straps of his quidditch gear.

Chase walked onto the pitch quietly and started stretching. First game of the season. Hopefully she played better this season. She had sucked rather terribly last year. She knocked herself out 2/3 games last year.

  Location: Quidditch Pitch - Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin Mira walked onto the field with her broom in hand. She couldn't wait to get this game started. If anything Hufflepuff wasn't a real challenge. She was sure that they could handle it. Smiling at Tristan, Mira did a bit of stretching before waiting for things to get underway. She wasn't going to rush one of her last games. After this year she wouldn't be on a field again. As saddening as it was Mira knew that this game was just a fun activity for while she was in school. Savannah couldn't believe she had made first string. She hadn't felt she done very well at try-outs; to be honest, she hardly remembered much of that day. Some days were such a blur; and it was like a coin toss if her day would be nothing but sleep or struggling to find something fun to do. She had taken to scouting through corridors and looking for secret passageways and hidden secrets in the castle; but that got boring too. Right now, she was ready to throw herself in this game; she couldn't wait for the rush and adrenaline. She would have gone over to her brother to talk, but she knew how serious he could be before his matches, so she distanced herself and turned her eye out to the quidditch stands surrounding her. So many people. So small. Like ants, she could crush them between her fingers if she squinted in one eye.
