Realization:
People are disgusting masses of stupidity, selfishness and greed at their very core and I am no better. It's a pity that I actually hold more stock in the well-being of others than in myself, it just lets them use me over and over and over again until I am kicked to the curb in the rain for no other reason than they are done using me.

I believe that is an unfortunate product of the capitalist "dog-eat-dog" society in which we live, where your value as a human being is determined by how much you own, and not a reflection of what humanity as a whole actually aspires to. That's just my opinion though; could be wrong.
I'm alright though. Be better if this snow would ******** off.

dragn99 Just be grateful you're getting more hours than most people in this shitty economy? True, you're being treated unfairly, but like Gligar said, you're probably better at your job than your coworkers. Best bet is speak frankly with your manager about this (stay calm and to the point, don't get worked up, etc. etc.) and just try and get your views across. Hopefully, she'll understand.
@Haru: Yeah, I am inclined to guess that's it. That's what my mom and one of the other women at work says.

So, this cute guy I don't know too well from my engineering class just sat down with me while I was eating alone and struck up a conversation, and suddenly the world is bright and beautiful again.

Aw, They removed Dead Leaves from the anime player.
