Cale Darksun from what I hear, Tusken raiders used to own all the starship fuel in the galaxy. Then the Republic liberated Tatooine. thats why its a rat hole now. Do I detect a political message here on the war in Iraq? Or am I reading way to deep?

No. It can only fire with its wings open. Closed wings are prevented from firing.
And semi-opened wings don't exist.

Sort of like a ship's ID.
It has it's name, affiliation, ship type, occupation etc.

Nelowulf No. It can only fire with its wings open. Closed wings are prevented from firing. That's usually true, but some sources say otherwise. In X-Wing 5, one of the Wraiths takes out a bomber in a sim run by firing as he leaves the hanger, before he has a chance to open his wings. But opening them turns on the targeting computer and increases the field of fire.
