"Thats good......I will tell the rest of my squad. We will formulate a plan." His sunglasses fall off. One of his eyes is blue and the other is red. He quickly covers his eyes and picks up the sunglasses.
"I need to get these fixed." He puts the sunglasses back on.
"Hey, do I have like a private office being a squad captain, or is it just my room?"
PostPosted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:08 pm

"You get your own office of course.....oh yes Rhm what brings you here?"

She raised her brow slightly, peering over her stacks of papers to get a better look at the both of them.

"Cool!" He rushes out of her office in search of his office. "Where could it be......"

"Er... well first I want to say it was a pleasure working for Captain Ace. If I may say so, he's one of the few people here that make sense." He shifted his feet nervously. What he said next was said very quickly. "Secondly, I don't think myself and Captain Ace should be punished for our actions on this mission. We both tried to act in the best way possible, and attempted to adapt to situations as they arose. Granted, since I stayed in the van most of the time, I didn't really do much. Yet. But I would very much like another chance because I literally can't get demoted any further then complete expulsion." He stared at the floor and quietly awaited a response.

"It's perfectly alright Rhm. Everything has been sorted out and punishments and whatnot are dealt with. You have a new mission actually, you may go retireve a briefing on it from him."

She nodded reassuringly to him with a waver of her head.

Relief washed over Rhm's face: He wasn't getting kicked out afterall! He got up and walked to the door then stopped. He turned around. "Ma'am? Are you talking about Captain Ace? Because technicaly I'm under Captain Jason."

The portal room was still and quiet. Noting witin the steel walls stirred. Then, without warning, there was a bright flash of light. With it came the familiar sound of rushing wind and the sight of swirling dust. Someone had returned. Standing in the center of the portal was a girl of about eighteen. She stood erect within the portal, legs shaking from the unsteady return.

She wore a suit of grey and military green, common to that of a female battle pilot. The brown leather straps from her pilot helmet hung in her face. She brushed the strap, as well as several pieces of her short, raven black hair from her ice blue eyes. On her forehead rested her pilot goggles. Both eye pieces were covered in a thin layer of dirt and smoke. The left one no longer served any real purpose, as it was cracked halfway down the center, where it then jutted off into a "v" shape. The suit itself wasn't in much better condition. It was stained with soot, smoke, dirt, oil, grease and what looked like blood in several areas. There were patches on both shoulders, one reading"Mech" and the other reading "S.O.F." Her hands were covered by a pair of leather gloves that went all the way up her forearms. The buckles that held them in place were broken and the pouches along the top of the gloves seemed to be missing its contents, except for one on her right arm. Inside was a vile containing a pale green liquid, closed off with a cork. Her boots, which matched her gloves, were scuffed and worn. On her back was a slightly scorched leather backpack. It hung about her right arm, as the let strap was broken. She also had a matching messenger bag at her side. The only thing that seemed to not have significant damage to it was her belt. Her brown leather belat, which had various pouches (all of which seemed to be bulging with questionable pointy abjects) also held the sheaths to her dual knives as well a wrench, screwdriver, and a broken hammer. Strapped to her leg was her gun and holster, as well as several packs of ammo. Around her neck was a plain, black leather strap, which wound around her throat like a choker and then fell like a necklace in front of her chest. On it was a single silver gear with eight teeth.

Slowly, she took a step forward. Her expression never changed. As she stepped out of the portal room, black smudges of God only knows what still decorating her face, one of the portal workers stepped out and looked at her wide eyed.

"H-hi. Did it...go well?"

The girl turned her head to look at him, bits of smoke from the other world still clinging to her suit. "...Ja."

"Both, Captain Knox has been put under a training Mission I guess you can say. He is to work on making his squad more organized and will not be going on another actual mission until then. All members are to report to him for whatever it is he has thought up in order to do that."

She frowned, she was still disgruntled about the whole ordeal and now the fact that all those letters had to be signed had just come flooding back to her.

"Oh, OK. Thank you for your time Commander." Rhm lightly shut the door. He ran back to his room and picked up the duffle bag containing his suit, then ran off in some direction he thought his Captain might be in.

Slowly making her way down the hallway, the girl allowed her arms to drop to her side. Attached to her left wrist was a pair of what looked like broken shakles. I'll remove that later, she thought dully. She noticed quite a few unfamiliar faces as she passed through the Labyrinth that was Mishap's hallways. Finally, she found herself standing in front of two large, wooden double doors. She reached out, as though she were going to grasp the large brass knobs. Every muscle in her arm screamed in protest. "Gah, screw it." She said picking up her foot. With one quick, well placed jab she landed her foot right between the two doors, causing them to burst open. There she stood, leg still in its "kicking" position staring at The Commander.

The young Commander's head slowly rose up from her writing as soon as the defeaning crack of the wood echoed into her ears. She blinked several times, well that was quite unexpected. With a tilt of her head off to the side she spoke in a very nonchalante tone.

"Oh.....So you're back....tea?"
PostPosted: Thu Jul 12, 2007 9:59 pm

Kairin drug her feet forward and dumped herself into one of the sitting chairs. "Sure," she shrugged. she waited for Ryanna to pour the tea into one of her china cups. As soon as the commander handed her the warm liquid, Kairin's eyes wandered over to the bookshelf on the eastern wall, then back to Ryanna. "Does it not disturb you even in the least that I'm over a month late?"

"No...No not really. So!....Was it a success?"

The Commander smiled, this time it was actually visible, as she set her cup of tea down upon the desk next to her. Leaning back in her chair as if this were entirely normal for her, an everyday occurance in this wonderfully normal life she had.

Kairin nodded, her helmet tilting to the side as she did so. After a brief moment of silence, she picked up her cup of tea and sipped it. savoring the warm, sweet liquid. Then setting it down she looked at Ryanna. "Did you know you could build an airplane out of the gear inside a clock tower?"

"Oh, oh fascinating, Really? I never thought that to be possible.... So, Did they pay you?"

She quirked her brow at the query, upturning her lips to make her look almost like some curious child. Yes once again, this was completly normal and yet antoher prime example to as to why she named this place, the 'Mishap' Mercenaries for Hire.
