Lan the Arc Angel

PostPosted: Sun Dec 19, 2004 7:33 pm

The sun was begining to set, so Nal was quickly losing a large amount of his strength. Even without the sun he was still capable of destruction on a larger scale then his twin. Jets of flames sprouted all around his body, capable sending him flying off in any dirrection. Nal made good use of his accelled mobility as the beams of lights flashed around him.

Lan was still laying completely still, the moon was just on the horizon, and even with the tiny bit it showed it still fed Lan strength.

"Woman...help him...if you want me then help him..."

Lan was still to weak to actually get up and help his twin, but he could at very least get Heswina to do it for him. Because he was so weak he had to use the woman's mental link to speak with her.

*The glass shifted as it continued to build up heat. This split the beams. The Master was a master of of Life/Soul based things of almost every type.He saw the bond, but it barely interested him.Since there were 3 of them and 6 pieces of glass,he shifted the glass in such a way that 2 beams shot out to each.Nal's set split apart,to pin him where he dodged and came together to catch him in one bigger beam.Lan's set, aimed to simply fire a hole right through his bulky body. The heavy chest of Lan,made his heart and easy target, for his giant size.Heswina's set of beams fired out as two,one aiming to hit her heart, the other to horrible scorch her face. The Master continued to feed the beams,if they dodged,he'd merely shift the beams to compensate.*

"Why should I fight for you? You're nothing more then a tool. Though...it would be a shame to lose such a fun play thing. If you want...you help him" Aware of Lan's lack of strength, and the fact he got stronger when he fought at night, Heswina stood up. "Ok sweety, just like Mother showed you." That last bit was spoken to Diana, who was safely hidden in Heswina's sanctuary. She felt the mental acceptance of Diana and soon felt the strength of Xol, Focht, and Irvine pour into her body. Her eyes went bloodshot red and she clutched her heart painfully. Her entire figure phased in and out of existance as the golam tried to find a way to discharge the extra energy. Since it reacted on impulse, to protect itself, Heswina, and Diana, it was searching for a way to save itself. It found it...giving Lan the extra energy.

Nal continued his dodging, the jets of flame occasionally disapeared as a silver beam was shot through them. Luckily Nal didn't use wings like other creatures, otherwise his flight would have been ended quickly. Since the 'Master' had lessened the amounts of beams fireing at Nal it made it a lot easier to dodge through them. If 1 peice of glass split into 2 beams, and all 6 peices were split equally among the three then only 4 beams would be fireing at Nal, making it less then the origional 6.

Lan's eyes shot open as he felt a huge surge of energy pour into his body. His mucles buldged and everything seemed hazey, but his body still moved without flaw. Lan's silver broadsword was in his hands in seconds, teleported from where ever it was to his hands. Tilting his blade at just such an angle it protected Heswina, as well as himself from the beams, and fired them back at the 'Master'. Pushing Heswina off to the side, Lan stood again. Strength from Heswina pulsing through his veins. His right arm took the onyx form again as he felt the Earthen Brother shout out in glee at Lan's recovery, but he wasn't recovered...only severely pumped up.

(EDITED-apparently Heswina powered me up)

*The Master sidestepped the beams as they hit the ground near him.The glass finnaly gave way and melted into balls of liquid glass. He dropped the beams and let the glass fall, burning the ground lightly. The Master smiled as he backed into the shadow of a ruined building. His red eyes could be seen glowing, but then vanished. There was a long silence,as it seemed The Master was gone.*

Nal gently fell from the sky and landed several feet away from Lan and Heswina. Words, as fast as their minds could work, raced between the twins. Lan held Ka'lana at ready and in turn Nal held An'alak, waiting for the Silver Giant to make the first move. Despite the uneasy difference between the two, they both eventually lowered their weapons and turned their attention to Heswina.

"Butcher...leave now and I will not strike you."

"Cast yourself from my sight or I will not hesitate to do in which the giant wishes!"

It was obvious that both the giant and the titan wanted the same thing from Heswina...for her to leave!

Irvine Gray

PostPosted: Tue Jan 18, 2005 9:07 pm

Irvine went back to where it all began. Back to the beginning. The beginning of his end. Irvnie stood in the center of what had been the town of Enid. The town he had destroyed. The town he had first come to when he had been revived. So many things had happaned over the period of time Irvine had been at the BC. Most of it painful. So many painful memories. Not enough good. Irvine could feel the fire inside him. Eating him from with in. His soul burned with the fires of redemption. It would be a painful cleansing process. A lot like all the others. Irvine brushed some hair from his eyes. He let out a long mournful sigh.

"This would be so much easier if she were here..."

A smile tugged at Irvine's lips. Everything had been at there best when he had been with her. His heart had always been full of joy. Full of love. He had loved her, yes. He cared for her and yet...and yet...he still had left.

"Why...I don't even remember any more...But I still remember her...her smell...her hair...her smile...her flesh...her beauty..."

Irvine closed his eyes. He could feel the flames well up inside him. Eat his heart. Burn his soul. Tear his flesh. The flames passion burned just as strong as the memory of her. Irvine burst into his blue flames. He got on his knees and the flames dispersed, replaced with...tears. rvine was crying. Crying silent tears at the past life he had given away for this misery stricken one full of hate, mistrust, deceipt, and death.

"Why...?"

A question that never would be answered. Why he had been drawn here. To these people who reminded him oh so much of those he had left. Though they could never replace those he had been with for oh so long. His heart beat at a steady slow pace. The ones he cared for were gone now. The people he left had left him too. He would never see them again. He would never see her again.

"There are times when I wish death would just come take me....the torture here is scorching me....I'd be free if I just died..."

Irvine knew suicide was not an option. And although he wanted death more then life, he knew he would not allow someone to kill him. He would be bested in battle and then he would know his death was justified. Irvine did not want to take the weak way out though he felt very weak at the moment. The burning never ceased. It continued to scorch him.

"I can feel this burning flame...and yet it freezes me inside. I peer into this fire and all I see is black...Why can I feel? I feel my skin crack and peel...And yet...through the smoke she calls to me. She calls to me telling me to make my way across the flame...And should I fail...I will melt away..."

*Pieces of rubble where now tossed around randomly. Thanatos wasn't quite sure if he'd done it or not, but like he really cared. Kaiori's sadness had stopped creeping across to him last night, due to someone's visit probably. So now all that drowned Than were his own overwhelming feelings, guilt, pain, and even some sadistic pleasure he didn't understand. Part of him had never felt so alive, the most of him never felt so dead. The symbol on his back felt like it was on fire, but Than didn't scream, he actually welcomed the pain..... for as long as he felt it he would be alive*

*kaiori lands alright but she has to keep running before her wings fold at her sides all the way, she looks around and frowns softly*

*The town had long since been dead. Somewhere around this desolate place was Than, that was for sure. There were somewhite feathers scattered around the ground that were from Than's wings. Right now though, everything seemed dead still and silent*

..Than ?...*kaiori calls softly, she was worried..and felt bad about how he was feeling*((edit)) *and she silently takes off again with a sob, knowing he wouldn't want to see her now anyways*

*Whether or not Than had actually heard Kaiori the other day was unknown. Most likely he had, but he didn't show it. He still kept himself hidden. Inside one building that was still halfway standing, he sat in an abandoned chair, stairing up at the ceiling while leaning back*

*Than left the small building and started to walk around the destroyed town. He wandered down the rubble covered street and looked around*...... *he was in a residential area and was looking around. He stopped when he found a dirtied and torn doll on the ground. Than crouched and picked up the thing, looking at it blankly*

*Than remained in the same place he had been, not even moving, when he heard Kai. For now he stayed put and silent. Than's aura seemed to cover the entire town. It was spread so thin and equally that he could be in any part of it. Was he trying to hide himself?*
