Sakura smiles softly and pours tea into a cup and places it before her. He then looks over to the man on the floor. "Would you like some tea Kazuma?" How this man could be so calm, so seemingly empty, and yet so incredibly strong and fast, was beyond normal thought.
Masamune watched Yumi as she worked furiously through the days, shaping, and reshaping her blades, over and over again, heating, reheating, pounding again and again, instructions coming from Masamune every few moments. Finally after a week or so she had a desirable shape to both and was near completion. "Once you're finished with the blades, you'll want to attach them to a handle each, as well as put the tang into the handle and put nails through it, but just enough to fill it up. Make sure the handle is long enough, or short enough, and that the blade is throughly waxed. You don't want a messy blade after all." He smiled softly. Yumi wouldn't know it until she left his workshop to head back for the mainland, but she had gained power, speed, and a bit of wisdom and patience. Through this trial, she had improved herself to beyond what she once was, yet she didn't know it, he almost wished he could see her face when she realized it.

((Thank you Chaos heart And just to let you know (since it really doesn't matter), strenght and agility are more important for Yumi than speed 3nodding ))
After some cursing and a lot of work Yumi finally finished her katana. It did not look like much, but to Yumi this little piece of steel symbolized all the hard work she had done during the past days, even weeks. She weighed the sword in her hand, swinged it around in the air, then put it back down into its simple wooden sheat. Even though she would most probably never use the sword she had made, Yumi would keep it as a memory and kind of as a souvenir from the island. Then she bowed deeply to Masamune.
"Thank you very much. Patiently you have thought me about swordsmaking, guided me through all the different steps and corrected all my mistakes. It has been a pleasure working with you... Unfortunately the mainland is calling, I need to rush back to my house... well if there is a house left that is... Could I ask you for one last favor? Could you maybe guide me to a boat that could take me to the mainland?" Of course this was not much trouble for Masamune, one day later she was on the way back to the mainland in a small wooden boat.
The trip took a couple of days, since Yumi was in no way rushing forwards, actually she was enjoying being alone for once. Up in the mountains she stopped a while and looked down at the plainland in front of her. It would maybe only take a day to reach Tokyo now, so she thought she had plenty of time to rest, take a last glance at the beautiful mountain view and prepare for the possible challenges ahead.

During the nights Masamune had been altering Yumi's sword. There were runes that she did not, and could not see. When the sword was used though, they would be burned in black. They were symbols of power, agility, balance, protection, and greatness. That sword that was with her was possibly as powerful as any of his, if not more so. Maybe beginners' luck, maybe simple grace and determination, but she had made something of greatness.
Kashi looked up, his body scarred, his face bleeding, and open wounds littered across his body. In parts he was burned from the fire they had tried to kill him with. He had escaped, but not without a deadly burning, and horrendous scars. This man now burned with hate, and he would kill, anything he could...
((For now, let Yumi and Kashi rest. We've skipped ahead of the others, and need to wait for them. ^_^ Ehhe.))

Kazuma laid on the floor for a few moments. It had happened so quickly..then his senses came, his eyes lighting up with anger. This..MAN had presumed to correct him, after HE had snuck in Kazuma's room? It was unthinkable! Kazuma pushed himself up onto his feet, grabbing his katana. He yanked on it, then quickly slid it into it's sheath with a slight click. Kazuma turned to face Sakura. His eyes and his expression had calmed down, at least slightly. Giving a slight bow, he spoke. "I apologize for my actions." His emotions ran from Anger to embarrasment. A man of his stature..being defeated so quickly? It was a stab at his honor. He turned, facing the door. "I do believe now would be an excellent time for a walk. I will be back momentarily."

Sakura shrugged and sipped his tea slowly. His grey eyes closing. "If you go for that walk, you will either join up with those of the ten that will be going for that man, or you will die in the streets...Chochmah is coming for you." He slowly sipped his tea. "You would do better to stay in here, and take some tea."

Kazuma stopped at Sakura's words, his hand placed on the door. "..I have already told Mouki that I would not join them. A killer, a murderer. I may be both, but I am not a liar." He stepped away from the door, walking back over and sitting down. "I'll say No tot he tea." He sat there, quiet momentarily. "Would you be here to save me from Chochmah, then? Or simply here to inform me of my fate?"

Sakura smiles softly and shrugs a bit finishing his tea. "It's a shame to waste that good tea then. I am here as nothing more than to save your life to make sure your opinion isn't biased. Whether or not you leave here before Chochmah gets here is your decision, but I will help you no more...I must return to another place...and I promise you may never see me again." Sakura rose and turned walking toward the window. One didn't even hear the window open, but somehow knew that man was simply...gone. He was off heading back toward another place...he needed somewhere...where he wouldn't be searched for. On the road...as a rurouni.
Chochmah was nearing the town now. Always a quick walker, and moving fast to catch that man...that possible traitor. The ten didn't care for Kazuma really. He wasn't one of the best. Even the women outdid him. He was always questioning morals and such. The rest just did it because they could...without limitations, they became the betters of him...

Kazuma sat on the floor. Throughout his history..wether when he killed his master, when he left that island..he had never felt more alone. He could not defeat his newest threat. He could not stand a chance. Not even with his partner's help. "The road of defiance is not an easy one..We're hunted for our decisions, even our own hunt to strike us down.." He picked up a tea cup, then quickly let go of it, pulling his katana out and slicing the cup in half. "It seems any ties we had to the outside are cut, then." The two pieces of the cup fell neatly on either side of the room. Kazuma scratched his chin thoughtfully, plotting his next move.

((Bwahaha... once again I'm here to slow people down... also don't ask why Nobara suddenly managed to transport herself to the town, but since everyone else seemed to be able to do it *shrugs*))
"A though decision that I cannot help you with. I'm sorry to say I am of no use to you at the moment... The only thing I'm good for is possibly healing your wounds..." Miu truly felt useless at the moment. All these new powerful swordsmen, meeting so many of them during one single day. And Miu who hadn't even known all these men existed.
"Well... one thing could help a little. Tell me who Chochmah is and what he specializes in..." Miu took a sip of the tea, there was no need to panic just yet.
It had been years since Nobara had spotted one of the ten, then suddenly she noticed Chochmah. Of course she had followed him, to see if she could get a moment to catch up on old times with him. But as she followed him she noticed he seemed to be in a horrible rush somewhere. He even seemed terribly focused on something. Eventually Nobara had gotten too curious not to follow him and see why he seemed to be so upset. Excitedly she chuckled as they arrived at a small inn, Nobara just knew the thing Chochmah was looking for could be found inside that house. At the same moment she felt another presence... or rather someone not being present that should be present... it was an odd feeling that most people would be unable to comprehend and understand the meaning of, but Nobara instantly knew Chaos was somewhere around.

Chochmah stops at the inn door and looks back at Nobara. "How long are you planning on following me? I was hoping you wouldn't do what I knew you would. Go back to Tokyo, and find Mouki...wait there. There is business to be taken care of. Also, gather the rest of the ten up if you can. We need to decide our next plan of attack as it were..." Chochmah turned and disappeared into the inn.

Kazuma stood up, slowly and gracefully, almost. It was almost strange to see, especially in the situation they were in. "No..There's no time. He's here. We must move quickly. You go out the window first. Quietly now. We must not alert him to our plans." He stood facing the door, standing a few feet away, grasping the sheath of his sword in his hand. He was prepared to defend his position, and Miu, if it came down to that.

Miu quickly snuck out of the window and climbed up on the roof, horrified that something would happen to Kazuma, but knowing she wouldn't be able to help him anyways. She got up on the roof just in time to spot the approaching man and a woman dressed in a blood red kimono, a woman who looked strangely familiar. And just as she was thinking she recognized the woman Nobara looked up. Too late Miu realized who she was. s**t! She rolled down from the roof and landed on the ground with a soft thud. She was about to move on when 20 kunais pinned her down to the ground.
"Well well well... look what I found here... ain't it little Kimiko missy?" Nobara grinned and sat down on the pinned down girl.

Chochmah was up the stairs and his blade through the door by the time Miu was rolling out the window. He was quick, and dreadfully accurate in his predictions, though he rarely ever spoke them. He stared at Kazuma, his hardened grey eyes staring him down. "Kazuma...you have a choice. Let Miu die...or join us. It is your choice." Chochmah had never planned to kill Kazuma. His entire plan was off the prediction that Nobara would find him, he would 'send' her away and she would trap Miu out of instinct from knowing her. "Miu will die, and your 'halo' will be broken. But know this Kazuma, she will live if you join. You know you want to. We're getting together. None of us like this turnout of the war. The way Meiji will turn things will destroy. So whatever happens it will be the ten that change everything...know that." Maybe he was lying, maybe not, who knew anyways?

Kazuma closed his eyes. hHe had no time to make plans. He thought of his days as a child..hearing stories of wolf raids on outskirt farms. Such efficient killers..they acted on instinct. They didn't have the thoughtful brain he was gifted with. But they also had the advantage of a pack..he was by himself.Miu..i'm afraid I must risk you momentarily. Please forgive me. "Chochmah..you are obviously the most perceptive of us ten..so surely you would know.." Kazuma bent down, picking up the half-empty tea pot that Sakura had been drinking from only such a short while ago. "..That sometime the life of one most be sacrificed for the good of many." With his final word he hurled the tea pot and it's hot contents toward Chochmah, and leapt backwards, out the window.
His long hair flew out infront of him, the wind brushing and skirting past the back of his head. His right foot touched the roof, and he opened his eyes as it did so. Spinning around, he pushed off again, launching himself toward Nobara. His thumb flicked forward, loosing his sword from it's resting place. Grabbing the handle, he prepared to deliver a strike. I'll show you the grace and deadly accuracy of iaijutsu firsthand.
