He chuckled, shaking his head and speaking in a condiscending manner. "You adults. Always trying to find the way out. i told you before, I'm not going to tell you, so you're just gonna have to accept that questoin unanswered."

Tor crossed his arms as he thought for a moment, "I think perhaps you only hate him because the two of you are so similar. You are both rather stubborn, have the same taste in life partners, read more than anyone I know, and like corners."

"Well, you're an idiot. We have nothing in common, thank you. Dad never reads." He chuckled, shifting and turning his body away from the other. Probably didn't wanna talk anymore.

Tor chuckled, "Not yet he doesn't. Well, I know he at least writes quite a bit. That ******** book was huge. Thought the better of reading it, but now knowing you exist, I almost wish I had. Hate may long outlast the hateful, but it need not be that way. If you hate him till the day he dies, or you do, and beyond you'll never have truly known your father."

"My father was a biligerant a*****e who only thinks of himself." He grunted, covering his face with his arms, and curling up to himself.

The ceiling and rooms above seemed to tear away in a cyllinder rising upwards as a great bolt of lightning fell to the earth to strike Nik. By the time it'd be gone Torment would be standing over Nik, a blade of white light and energy formed in his hands. His words were fueled by anger at such a verbal attack against Vince, "How dare you speak of him in that way? You are too blinded by your own hate to see him in any clear picture at all. If not for him my wife could have been severely injured, or worse, and I could have added one more death onto my current total."

"Riiiight." It didn't even seem to phase him, his eyes now open and staring up at him. "If my father really cared about you, or your wife, don't you think he would've quit being a cop? He knew he'd run into you again, being a known fellon, and he woulda quit, thank you."

Tor shook his head, "It should be blatantly obvious to even yourself that me and Vince have bumped into one another, even while he was on duty. Not only did he take no action against me as a known fellon, but he directed lower ranking officers to move on. Haven't you ever considered maybe he is a police officer for a reason? Can't you even conceive the fact that maybe he remains as such to help keep these lands safe for you to stay out till all hours of the night and make a complete a** of yourself until you find your way home?"

"Yea yea, right." He turned around again, shutting his eyes and speaking in a soft, quiet voice "Go away, I just wanna sleep."

Tor seemed to shift slightly, as if he were a hologram, or more precisely an illusion, being distorted. He shook his head as he normalized, "You an me are more alike than you will ever know. You love to hate, and there are some you hate to love. You just won't admit either love. So stubborn you blind yourself through strength of will." He didn't leave, per se, but the illusion just seemed to freeze like a statue.

He didn't reply, instead curled in around himself in a tighter ball, hoping he'd end up in his corner before he woke up. Coulda been a false hope, but who cared?

~Master Bedroom-Second Floor~
~First of Five Sunrises~

Torment stood at the window staring out over the cold steel of the Razor Grasses as the first sun began to rise in the distance. Of his clothing he wore only his pants, having just roused from a rather peaceful sleep after having been up late into the night with his wife. She had not yet awakened from her sleep, but Tor thought it was probably for the best, he needed to think for a time anyhow. The little b*****d was as stubborn, if not moreso than his father, which was making getting through to him rather hard. He either seemed not to see the similarities and that the hate would get him nowhere. If Torment himself had to become a martyr to this cause, then so be it.

In the process of turning over, Kalie would roll a tad to far with Torment absent. Her head falling from the pillow and landing on the bed with a dull thud. Somewhere in between the collection of pillows dispersed between the two sides of the bed. Stretching her arms up over her head, Kalie dreamily yawned and mewed continently as she swiped one of Torment's pillows, before snuggling back into the covers.

Torment stood wtaching the subsequent sunrises as light spilled into the master bedroom casting hues of blue, red, green and grey throughout the room in a dazzling display of colors throughout the sunrises. Tor thought about waking his wife, but instead sunk through the floor as an elevator of sorts carried him downstairs and through the house to the kitchen. In moments he'd be throwing together breakfast, though not without a great deal of help from the house itself and the Arcane.

Kalie tumbled about the bed, fighting a loosing war with the aray of colors streaming through the bedroom windows. Her eyes eventually opening, though she was seeing very little of anything beyond the bed. At least the pillow under her face muffled the grumpy I'm not a morning person moan.
