“As long as you’re ok…” Kozue knew he had a problem with water from previous events, and even though she knew he had some control over the cause of it, she still felt nervous about it. When he smiled at her, it did nothing it reassure her. All it did was make her feel more uneasy. She really couldn’t say anything about it, but she couldn’t explain it so she did her best to keep her mouth shut. She noticed him with his hand in his pocket and guessed that he was holding on to the blue orb that had caused him the trouble. She didn’t want to look at it because, that to, made her nervous.

Yumi smiled and moved her hand to move the hair out of her face and smiled. "Heheh... funny thing is...i don't know haha i think it was legend of the mermaid... my mom sang it to me and my sisters and brother..." A sweat drop appeared on her head and hugged Mr.Shunkums. "My mom even introduced me and Mr.Shunkums when i was little." Mr.Shunkums nodded at the story and hugged her. She rubbed her eyes softly before returning the hug again looking at the surrondings again.

Her tears poured like tiny waterfalls from her eyes.They fell from her face a dripped into the lake.Eri sniffled and wiped her face with her sleeve.She was sitting by the lake, her legs tucked under her and her arms wrapped around her as she rocked back and forth slowly.Eri looked up at the sky with her blood shot eyes."Why?Why do you insist on torturing me?!"she cried out.Only the whistle of the wind responded.She lowered her head continued to cry.Suddenly there was a familiar voice in her mind.
"Poor baby sister....You look so pathetic sitting there wallowing in your own misery."the voice said.
"Leave me be.I don't ant to play with you."Eri said, seeming as if she was talking to herself.
"Oh but we want to play with you."This came from a different voice.
She shook her head and covered her ears."La la la!I'm not listening to you three anymore!"she said.The voices giggled wickedly and continued to taunt her.
"Your so sad.Your a disgrace." one said."You should have died at birth!"hissed another.Around and around they laughed and teased Eri.She held her head and cried more as they continued to take joy out of her pain.

"Failure!"
"Freak!"
"Idiot!"
"Murderer...."
The voice chanted on and on in her mind.Their shrill laughter could not be blocked out.Eri continued to hold her head and rock back and forth.She was scared.Scared of being alone and yet scared of being with someone.All her life the ones who should have been supportive of her and love her only fed her lies and cruelty.Had she not escpaed, she would have been just like them
"Crybaby!Go back to that whore of a mother of yours."they hissed.
She whimpered and cried.Her hangs were stuck to her face from all the tears.'Leave me alone....please." she begged but they only laughed harder.

Eri was on side now, the tears still flowing.She had fallen asleep not long after her sisters had grown bored of teasing her and left her mind.When she awoke she began to cry again.Eri just stayed in that one spot,crying.She didn't dare go back to the school.she was afraid she would run into Chrono.'I'm so stupid.He said he loved me and I ran.I shattered his heart....Gods I want to die right now.'she thought as she layed there.Small creatures watched her from afar.Pity was in their eyes.A little bird hopped around her, singing its happy little song as if to cheer her up.She sniffled and wiped her face but that did not stop her tears.Eri was cold, alone, and miserable.Just like had been all her life.

Chrono walked into the area, his face was still red and so were his eyes from crying, he was calmed down but he was still sad. He headed for the water to wash his arm that was covered in blood from digging his nails into it "I wonder if that was dad talking...if so then he killed mother..." He said remembering moments ago at the church "I am not a useless half breed" he muttered, he was about 10 feet from Eri, but he was facing the opposite direction, and he was a bit dazed "I wonder if she will forgive me..."

Eri's ears twitched as she heard movement.Normally she would have looked to see what it was but she was too upset to care.Her tears had finally stopped but that didn't mean the pain did.Her heart felt like it had been trampled on by a herd of wild beasts.She layed there, completely silent except for her breathing.She didn't want to move or even live at the moment.All she wanted to do was lay there and slowly waste away into nothing.

He finished wahsing his arms off and cleaned his nails "Ehh...might as well wash my hair..." he dunked his head into the water and ran his hand through it and pulled it out "Good as new..." he smiled but then began to sniff smelling something "I smell fresh tears..." Chrono looked around and saw Eri crying "E-eri? Is that you?"

She heard someone call her name but she did not respond.She did not have the will in her to do so.She layed there and stared at the lake.A fish splashed as if caught a bug that was resting upon the surface of the glistening lake.Her tail rested itself around her.It's tip flicked every so often.the arm that she was using as a pillow was starting to go numb but she didn't care.Eri didn't care about anything anymore.She was an empty shell now.

"Eri!" He ran over to her, worried a bit "Its me, Chrono... I am sorry about being so forward, are you okay...?" He knew something was wrong "Eri?" He frowned a bit. "Please dont be mad...I am sorry...PLEASE!" He began to cry again small teardrops were hitting the ground "Please Eri I am sorry!"

She rolled over and was now laying on her back.She looked up at him with still blood shot eyes."Chrono....."she said in almost a whisper.Her voice sounded cracked from all the crying.Her eyes seemed so empty.It was as if her soul had locked itself away from the rest of the world.She watched as he began to cry.Her heart truly was shattered at that point."Don't cry...I don't want to see you cry."she said faintly.

"Eri, please... We need to take you to the hospital...you seem weakened..." He picked her up and was holding her "Here, let me help..."he wiped the tears from his eyes, he sat her down on her feet "Why are you so sad? There isnt anything to be sad about, cmon, smile" He said softly, then began to smile "Be happy...because if your happy..so am I... and if you stay sad...then I stay sad..."

She shook her head slowly and stared at him."No hospital.I'm fine really.I just...."She stopped.Eri leaned closer to him and kissed him again.She wanted to do it, no she needed to do it.Her arms wrapped around his neck as she continued the kiss.Her necklace gave off a faint pinkish color and then died out.
