"Well, when you figure out what you want, let me know" she said calmly, offering a small smile. "Maybe I can help you puzzle it out"

She watched Midnight cover their face and looked concerned for her mate. She reached out to touch her shoulder gently, rubbing it. "I'm sorry, you did say the noise was hurting you. Let's go somewhere quiet then. After you finish dessert. We'll try to eat in our room or quiet places from now on" she said.

She felt disappointed at Midnight's grudging response to her encouraging words. Seems like they really didn't like kids and really didn't want to be a parent. If she'd only known earlier, maybe she would have had second thoughts about marrying Midnight. She did love them but giving up one of her most burning desires of having a family and being a mother was something she couldn't do. But hey, they were both already pregnant. That's what brought them together in the first place. There was no problem here. She relaxed at those thoughts.

While it was true that kids did annoying things at times, that didn't bother Larissa. She was able to try to look past it. She seemed to be able to let it roll off her back and keep a cheerful attitude. 'Don't sweat the small stuff', sort of thing. It wasn't really odd that Midnight didn't show pregnancy symptoms yet either. The stasis spell stopped things from progressing enough to really get things going. It would be interesting to see what symptoms they both had as they went through it together.

She leveled Midnight with her clear green gaze and nodded once about turning dragon, about raising the hatchlings and angel on her own "I'm sure" she said "If that's what they needed to be happy and thrive, then I'd do it for them. It's not just for 'another' or a random person, it's for our babies, our children. Those we share a deep and lasting bond with. I'd make sure to take good care of Poff still, but I want to be a comforting, helpful presence for our kids too"

She smiled a bit when Midnight repeated that they agreed to lift the stasis spell together. Good, good. No backing down.

Larissa hadn't thought about that. That Midnight being a god would lead them to have desires for love and faith of their followers. "But, you would have our love and faith; me, Poff, Gossamer, Sapphire, and the hatchlings and the angel baby. But if you need lots of people to love you and have faith in you, then I guess ours alone wouldn't be enough. You know, I don't think doing things for yourself is the best way to be. I think that could lead you into trouble. What really helps you grow and feel worthwhile, is helping others, doing good for others, making a good, nice difference in the world and the lives of those you care about. If you do everything with love and good intentions, then surely people will naturally love you back and follow your teachings. I know you have to earn faith and love but I don't think you should do that by trying to make yourself the greatest"

She looked at Midnight when they talked about disappointing people "I think maybe you should talk to Leo about that. I'm sure it's an issue that all the gods face. Those who care about their followers must have concerns over such things. But I think if you're humble and you be open with people and apologies for your mistakes, then people will be more understanding. You're a new demi god...or almost-god...surely there has to be some leniency for someone so new to being a deity and still learning 'How to God'"

Larissa spoke her reactions to Midnight pointing out the rowdy kids doing naughty things around the restaurant and Midnight seemed to have a slightly pained look on their face. Right, the noise. Midnight's hearing was sensitive. And they already had a headache. "When we get back to the room, I'll dig out one of my crystals for pain relief for your headache" she promised.

She considered the academy's security. And a strange thought occurred to her "You don't think...it could be one of our fellow college students at the academy that's sending demons after us. That would explain how they appear all over the school" she said haltingly, looking thoughtful. Then she waved her hand "Ehh, that's probably not it. I mean, it could be a teacher or a student but they'd be ratted out pretty quick in a place like that" Right?

She talked about laying down her own life for her child. She was passionate about what she said. Passionate was a strong word for parts of her personality! Her mouth fell open when Midnight said the kids they'd have would be enough "Whaaat?! No way. Are you serious?" she gaped. "But - but I want to have a large family, I wanted to see what a child that's half dragon half human would be like" she pouted a bit. Midnight brought up their second point.

"The baby...oh, I'll make sure that they go to a suitable guardian. You, or if you don't want to; someone else I can trust; mom and dad, or Amity or Misty, or even Eilene. I'll try to sort that out legally long before the birth. So that things are arranged just in case the worst should happen. Thank you for bringing that to my attention".

She listened to Midnight's groan as they said they'd take care of the baby if Larissa died. "Yes, that would be heartbreaking for the child. You are right about that" she said, frowning in thought and considering those words. Her hand rubbed her stomach absentmindedly. "I'd make sure to leave videos and audio for them, and write them letters they can read when they are old enough" she said. "Letters that give them hope and help them to be happy. As for not being able to bring parents back...well, there are ways around things. I'm sure some of the gods would offer resurrection of loved ones, for a price" she said. "But I'd tell our children not to do that unless the price would not harm them - or anyone else, and that I'll be watching over them from the afterlife and that we'll meet again some day"

She listened to Midnight's take on what they would do in the situation. "How could you tend to them or care for them if they're dead? All you'll be able to do is watch them die while you're helpless to do anything, and then go to their funeral. And then live with pain in your heart every single day until you can meet again" she said gravely.

"You and I think differently on this, too. I'd make sure Poff and the babies had a proper carer for them in case I die. But I wouldn't want to go on living knowing I could have done something to save them. If I lived and they died when they could have lived, the guilt would eat me alive" she said softly. "You're not living for them if they die because you chose your life over theirs. You're just living for yourself" She then looked confused and troubled with many thoughts whirling in her head.

"Then again, what does that mean when people have miscarriages, or when the mother and child both die due to complications? Maybe I'm not being open minded enough about this...I just...I just don't want to lose my baby, any of our babies" she wiped at her eyes. She was crying but trying hard not to. She grabbed a serviette off the table and cried into it quietly, trying to take deep breaths and calm down. She didn't want to lose Midnight, or the hatchlings, or the angel baby or Poff. Thinking about it really tore at her heart. They were here to relax. She wanted to just stop talking about that stuff now and try to have a nice time together.

User ImageI listened to her words, and I sighed as I took another sip of my drink before another bite of the cheesecake. "That would be nice." Somewhere quiet would be nice. I wish I could turn my senses off sometimes, but no matter how hard I tried it was hard to turn off my hearing.

I shook my head when she said she'd raise them on her own. I wouldn't ask that of her, I wouldn't ask that of anyone, raising multiple kids by oneself? No! "I'll help you raise them. You don't need to bring anyone in or change yourself just because I'm selfish." I told her. "At least I'm aware of it." I sighed. "And yes, I do have you, and the familiars, and the...." I trailed off. "The children. But how long until they're not enough? What do I do when I need more faith? And I never said that me doing something extraordinary would simply be for myself... there are plenty of ways I can help the world, help people... and be awesome. All at the same time."

"And, no... you misunderstand. It's not my followers I don't want to disappoint." I said with a sigh. "They won't expect me to be there all the time. They'll believe in me and they'll fuel me with their faith. Maybe one or two bits of divine intervention and they'll be hooked. No, divine followers are hard to disappoint, if they really believe. I'm talking about disappointing the children. They learn so much, all the time... they need someone there, all the time. You know how I storm out every time we have an argument? Do you really think I want to teach them that... that, that is the best thing to do, to deal with their problems? No!"

The discussion turned back to the security, and I blinked at her, slowly. "Of course it's one of the students, Larissa." I said. "Who else could it be? The teachers have their jobs to look out for, and everyone else doesn't give a flying ******** about the university outside the flow of student vacations. A student? All they have to do if they get kicked out is reapply to a different university... that is if they're not sent to jail for demon summoning or attempted murder, first."

She acted disbelieving when I said I was fine with the children we already had. "We're having at least 2, maybe 3." I said to her. "How many more would you want? 5? 6? 23?" That last one was rhetorical, and I hope she could tell by my tone. "We have enough!"

Then, the comments she had made about sacrificing herself. "You would put a magical baby in the hands of your non-magical friends and family... while they are being hunted by demons?" I said. "The only person I'd trust to be able to raise and protect the angel or the hatchling...s would be Liliana." I paused, briefly considering my parents... while they were good guardians, they may not have what it takes to fend off the bigger Mcnasties that our 'summoner friend' keeps throwing at us. "Again, misunderstand. If it came down to the line where it was me or them, I would fight with my all to make sure we both make it through." I gave her a stern stare. At least until my eyes went blank, as the image of 3 broken eggs filled my vision. I clamped my eyes shut and sat back, covering my face as I just shook myself to be-rid myself of that terrible, terrible image. Why am I being haunted by that? Some terrible prophesy? Or am I just remembering the nightmare? The mind can play such cruel tricks.

When the image was gone I parted my fingers to peer out at her with a single, emerald eye. And I let out a long breath. "That is why... that is why I put so much emphasis on being strong, and being able to endure. So when choices like that arise, I can take a 3rd option. The preferable option." At her words about the unfortunate happenings of miscarries and both dying in childbirth... "Fate can play a cruel hand, sometimes."

I rested my arm on the table as I slowly moved to stand up, finally moving my hands away from my face. "Comeon... let's go." I fumbled for her hand before I rose on slightly unsteady feet, my head throbbing harder. "I'll pay, and then we can find someplace quiet."

Larissa would try to find a quiet place for Midnight as soon as possible. They just had to finish chatting and then pay.

"Okay, well, thank you. I mean, I will if I have to. Just so you know" She smiled when Midnight said that they would help raise them. She'd be all for the single parent thing if her partner opted out. After all, she really didn't want Midnight to be so unhappy and if raising kids really ruined their life plans, she'd take over as best she could. She knew she'd need other people's help and support but she just didn't want Midnight to feel burdened and unhappy. The kids would know it and it would hurt them.

"I wonder how many followers and how much faith exactly a god needs" she mused on Midnight's explaining. "We'll have to find out. Maybe Leo knows. He'd probably have tips for how to gain followers too". She nodded when Midnight explained about doing something amazing not being just for themselves. "Ohhh, okay. Well, just...just make sure you're doing things for good, wholesome reasons, I guess. Power can easily corrupt people"

She looked at Midnight when they pointed out her misunderstanding "Oh, sorry" She smiled "Hey, no one's perfect, not even gods. If they're disappointed in you sometimes, then I think that's normal" she said. "They'll get to learn your routine and times when you're around and not around. Children adapt faster to changes than adults do, they are remarkably resilient and they bounce back from stuff easier. As for storming out. Well, it's not the worst thing you could do. Just tell them mommy needs time to go to her quiet place and cool off for a while and calm down" Larissa suggested. "Then it's a healthy coping thing"

She looked surprised at Midnight's agreement about it being a student who was summoning demons. "WHAT?! REALLY?!" she shouted. "No way! That can't be...who could it be? Who knows us? How would we find out who it is?" she babbled, but those questions were directed mostly at herself. Lol. She was pretty dense and oblivious sometimes. Where it might be obvious to her mate, it was foggy to her. She didn't suspect Seth at all.

She looked at Midnight and said "Six!" loud and with enthusiasm "I want at least six children!" she said. "We already have um...four maybe, so that's just 2 more and hey if we get extras, it's a bonus! The more the merrier. We can afford it, we have a huge mansion where they can all fit. Heck, Aria is big enough that everyone can have their own rooms. You might start wishing for more as they get older and drift away from us. So don't make any rash decisions yet, okay? See how you feel first...when they're growing up"

She paused and blinked at Midnight's words. "Oh. Well. I didn't really realise that. For some reason I thought the demons would stop chasing us once the kids were born. But they're after the angel, aren't they?" she hummed, "Maybe it can be a team effort between people we trust, or we could hire some magic mercenaries or warriors or guardians to protect them. There's a way to plan things out so that everything works"

Larissa looked at Midnight and shrank away a bit from her stern look "Oh...sorry. I guess I did misunderstand that. I want everyone to make it through too. I just mean, that if it comes down to it, I'd give my life to save theirs. That's all. Any good parent who loves their child would feel the same. If the doctors could only save one of us, then yeah, it's gonna be the baby" She watched Midnight cover their eyes and sit back and thought it was the noisy room hurting their head again. They really had to get out of here.

"Okay. Well, I'm not that strong. But my heart's in the right place. I know it is" she said. "I'll do what I can, when I can. And yes it can. I just hope fate has nothing bad in store for us, aside from more demons"

She stood up with Midnight as their conversation concluded. Well, they'd probably continue to talk as they walked around and headed back up to their room. She squeezed Midnight's hand gently "Okay" she agreed. They were gonna find a nice quiet place and get Midnight some pain relief.

User ImageAs we finished up the conversation in the restaurant, Larissa stated shouting at a couple things in response to a couple things that I had said. I grimaced at how loud her voice got, never mind the looks we received thanks to her raised voice.

"You know who I think it is." I told her after her outburst of disbelif that it could be a fellow student. Seth is suspicious as ******** and I wish she'd listen to me.

Next outburst was about how many she wanted. Six? I shook my head. "Oh, no, no, no thank you." I said. I remembered the three eggshells. "3 or 4 is enough, enough woman! I don't want no more kids!" If I had to get a vasectomy to keep from having more I will!

"But... you can be that strong." I told her. "You have to cultivate it in yourself... you have to want to be..."

After that, the pain had gotten so bad that I just stopped responding, so I was grateful when she lead me to the cashier to pay and then out of the restaurant. I let her lead me where she may; back up to the room she took me, and I flopped onto one of the beds with a groan after we arrived.

I covered my face with my hands again. My head was throbbing and I'd be glad for whatever Larissa pulled out of her magic bag of crystals.

Larissa ignored the stares they got. She didn't realise her voice was that loud. It was a shout, but like, not a super loud one. Her voice just raised enough to sound shocked or amazed. Even so that probably still hurt her mate's ears.

"I know, but we don't have any proof. And it's mean of you to just suspect him with no proof, just because you don't like him" she said. "He's always super nice to me and the others, even if his perfume does give you headaches. He really wears a lot of that stuff, which is weird but not exactly evil"

She looked disappointed when Midnight denied them having more kids in the future "But that's not fair!" she said sadly and a bit frustrated. "What if I just have one more, later down the track? Just one? One more wouldn't be so hard would it?"

She looked at Midnight in disbelief. "I don't know. It's so easy for you, you're a dragon. I'm just an ordinary human with some magic at my disposal. Maybe if I train every day, my magic will get stronger. I know it's gotten stronger since I first started casting spells"

They made it safely back to their room and Larissa immediately went to dig through her bag of holding and pull out the needed crystal. It was glowing a healthy green with a healing spell and a pain killer spell. She brought it over to Midnight and placed it on her forehead. Cool, soothing pain relief flowed from the crystal and into Midnight's head. "There, this should help" she murmured as Midnight continued to lay on the bed. "Do you want to do anything later if you're feeling better? I guess we better inform the hotel of the demons first, but they have some nice winter walks through pine forest, and there's hot spring baths here..."

User ImageI let her rub the crystal over my forehead, pulling my hands away and letting them rest on my tummy. I thought about what she had said about Seth, and I frowned.

Wasn't there a perfume shop downstairs? The bottom floor of the hotel was like a mall. I just might make a stop on the way out the door for the sleigh ride.

As it was though, I let her healing magic do it's work. I let the magic soothe my headache away, until I felt better enough to open my eyes and sit up, stretching.

"When is the next Sleigh ride?" I asked. Weren't we going to do that, after dinner? "If we have enough time, I want to stop by the perfume shop on the way outside."

Once Midnight's headache was healed away and the pain had all gone, the crystal was glowing with just the tiniest bit of light. It was depleted now and she would have to cleanse it then recharge it with fresh spells. These kinds of crystals were good for amplifying and strengthening the body's natural healing processes, and clearing bad energy. She tucked it back in her bag in the compartment where used crystals that need cleaning go.

She blinked "Ah, the sleigh ride, I forgot!" she said, "We had a long, deep conversation over dinner that pushed that straight out of my mind" Larissa admitted. "I'm glad that we're communicating though" she said, holding Midnight's hand and rubbing it with her thumb. She let go after a moment or two.

"Umm, let me check the hotel website" she pulled out her phone and checked the sleigh ride times, "It's at 9:00pm. And it's like, 8:13 now. So we have time for you to stop and look at the perfumes" She paused as she heard some yowling outside the door and got up to go open it. Poff stood there with a cross and upset look

"You forgot about me!" she accused.

Larissa gasped and scooped her into her arms "I am so, so sorry! I really am. Poff, I didn't mean to. I had a lot of things weighing on my mind and I just blanked, I'm so sorry! I would have come running back into the restaurant as soon as I realised"

Poff sighed and cuddled close with a chuckled "You're furr-given. But that hurt my feelings so don't forget again"

She nuzzled her cheek against Poff's. "I won't, I promise" She smiled "You still look so adorable in your warm winter clothes"

"I feel nice and warm. Hey, let me up on your shoulder"

Larissa moved the cat to rest on her shoulders like usual.

User ImageI nodded, getting up and streaching before we both heard the yowling. Larissa let the cross kitty in as Gossamer and Sapphire came in, gliding over Larissa's head.

They circled around me and hung from my earrings. "How was your dinner?" I asked.

"It was good." Sapphire said. "We split a fruit and mealworm salad." She said happily.

"It was yummy." Said Gossamer. "Even the fruit-flies that thought they'd crash the party were tasty."

I laughed. "Sounds like they didn't bug you for long."

"Nope!" Sapphire chimed.

I smiled. These two were much more independent then Poff was. I suppose it was fitting, considering me and my own heavy independent streak. The two familiars didn't mind one ounce that I had left them in the restaurant though if I had tried to leave the resort they most certainly would have minded.

Larissa waited for Midnight to be ready to go back downstairs. She walked to the living area and sank into one of the couches. She looked at things on her phone; social networking sites mostly. Her friends and family were on hers and that's how she kept up with current events.

Poff remained on her shoulder and watched the screen over Larissa's shoulder.

"So why do you wanna look at perfumes? Are you getting one for yourself?" Larissa asked. She heard the conversation between Midnight and their familiars.

"You two don't seem to mind that we forgot and left you down in the restaurant" she smiled. "I'm glad your dinner was nice. I hope you and Poff are getting along better these days" She scrolled through her phone and onto the hotel resort's website. "Hey it has an email address to contact management. Do you think we should mail them about the potential for demons attacking here? Or should we call now?"

Poff nodded at Sapphire and Gossamer "I tried to make polite conversation. I didn't run away from the flies and mealworms this time, I think I'm starting to get used to bugs" she admitted. "I felt kind of safe because Sapphire and Gossamer were making them disappear. And their fruit looked nice but alas, I am a cat, I can't taste sweetness. I was tempted to try some though anyway"

User ImageI gave myself a few moments to make sure I was ready to go; before I headed over to Larissa where she sat on the couch.

"Maybe." I said. I was actually wondering if I could find Seth's perfume. The strength at which he wore it meant (to me) that he was hiding something. And I doubt it was B.O. If I could prove to Larissa that it wasn't the cologne that was making me sneeze, maybe she would listen to me about Seth.

"It's okay." Gossamer said. "We were... really hungry. That fight really.... took a lot out of us."

I thought about something, and I held out my hand; he hopped onto it and looked up at me as my crow familiar grew to full size. I hadn't noticed it in the heat of agony, but... Gossamer had mutated, just a little bit. The tips of his flight feathers had spots now; like the eyes on a peacock's tail. He noticed me looking at them and he flared his wings; the eyes were blue, a deep azure. Also, the flight feathers on the very end of his wing had one black-- as did the ones on the edges of his tail. Infact, his tail had become forked like a swift's.

"Gossamer..." I said, trailing off. "You're even handsomer now."

Gossamer looked at his wings and his tail, and he puffed out his feathers at my praise. Holding up my other hand, Sapphire latched onto it and grew to her full size as I looked her over. Her wings looked larger, her fur had gone from a dull grey to now a brilliant silver... or is it polished steel? Her ears had gotten bigger too, and her wings seemed a little bit more flexible then before.

"You both mutated." I said. "You're so pretty, Sapphire."

Sapphire started to preen her fur at that, and I lifted her back to my earring where she shrunk down and dangled once more. They had suffered from that fight, but I was just glad the changes hadn't been too drastic.

Once Sapphire was dangling, I let Gossamer return to his perch on the earring in my other ear.

I glanced at Larissa, when she mentioned the email address. "Email should work fine, while avoiding any awkward questions." I commented. "Try to make it anonymous though." I said

"Okay. I just hope none of the others give you allergies" she said. "They're likely to stock all the brands so there should be lots to choose from. I can help you pick one out if you want"

She looked over towards Gossamer. "Well it's good that you survived and got to come here to eat. The food here is really good; all fresh and high quality. I'm glad that you enjoyed your meals" she smiled. "I think that fight took a lot out of everyone. I'm so relieved we all made it through and could recover. That's the strongest demon I've seen yet and I don't want to see him again" she said. "But I know he'll come back. It's a miracle you two weren't hurt more"

She watched Gossamer be inspected by Midnight and started to notice the changes on his feathers. "The new markings are nice. They look pretty" she agreed with Midnight. "Is Gossamer still a crow at this point? I suppose he is, just a magical one" she said "That growing and shrinking spell you guys use is pretty handy, by the way. I wonder if Poff could learn from you guys" She watched Sapphire transform too.

The blue eyed bat was also prettier than before. "Why did you both transform? You look lovely Sapphire, I'm just curious as to why you changed" She looked at Midnight, "Why did they both mutate? It's not a bad thing, it's just surprising. Poff hasn't changed physically at all but she helped during the battle too"

She watched them be put back on Midnight's earrings. They were cute that way, tiny and hanging from the hoops. You could almost miss the fact they were alive if you didn't look properly. She looked at Midnight and then back at her phone. "Okay. Hold on, I'll type the email while we walk" She got up and started to tap away on her phone's digital display, writing an anonymous letter informing of the threat but without words that come across as panic inducing. She walked slowly towards the door of their room, still typing. Poff was lying across her shoulders calmly watching everything.

User Image"I have no doubt that I'll see that demon again." I said as I shrugged. "I just hope I can handle him next time. I won't have Elaine's wish granting to save me next time."

"It was a magical response to the stress they were under." I explained as Larissa got up from the couch. "Poff was helping but you weren't in that much danger. Me? I was getting pummeled and squeezed like he was expecting me to be play dough." I gave a weak shrug. "I'm surprised they didn't mutate more."

"I hope we don't have to deal with anything overly exiting... at least for a few days." Sapphire said, hanging from her little perch in my earrings. "I'm sure something will come up, like it always does."

I snorted. "The only thing I see exiting happening would be the Rock concert." I commented, rolling my eyes. "Or running into Heather, but I don't want to deal with her right now." I had been pondering how to broach the subject of my ex to Larissa, and this is as good a method as any...

I followed her towards the door, and I gently steered her as she typed the email to the management. I made sure she didn't bump into anything or fall.

As they walked, she frowned about the demon showing up to Midnight again. "I wish there was some way to stop all these demon attacks. I feel like they're trying to get you out of the way and that's probably what they ARE doing. But you're a divine being, so maybe that's why you were stronger than the rest of us when facing him. He still nearly took your life and I'm glad that he didn't. I'll keep up my training sessions and see if I can become stronger. My magic, I mean. It feels like it gets more powerful the more I practice with it"

She looked up from writing on her phone and smiled at Midnight "Thank you" she said as they made sure she didn't bump into anything. She shuddered as Midnight reminded her of the demon's attacks. "I know, don't remind me, that was horrible. I wanted to help but I felt so useless. We all did" she said."I don't know how I would have coped if you did die. Probably make pacts with the Gods to resurrect you at whatever cost it takes"

Poff smiled in Sapphire's direction "Me too, meow. We should all just be able to chill and take it easy for a while. Stress is bad for health. Hopefully the summoner of these evil demons doesn't know where we are"

Larissa finished typing the letter and hit send. She put her phone back in the pocket of her light blue jeggings and smiled towards Midnight. She linked her arm loosely in theirs as they walked. "Rock concert, that sounds fun! I've never really been to one. She looked curious at the mention of another woman's name "Who's Heather?" she asked "An old friend? Someone who works here?" They got into another lift since the other lifts were in use. Luckily the lifts were large and spacious. They stepped out several floors down and into the shopping area and food courts. Larissa headed for the map display again and started to look for where to go for the sleigh rides. "Oh, looks like we go that way, down the corridor past the shops. Hey the perfume shop is along the way. It's right here" she pointed to it with her painted pink nail. "I'm looking forward to this"

User Image"There is a way of making it stop. Track the ******** down and make him stop." I said with a deep growl. I would almost be willing to kill to get these damn demons to stop showing up.

"Well, I didn't." I said. I blinked as she talked about me getting resurrected. "I would be careful with the pacts you make, Larissa... from what I've seen, gods will demand a high price and won't tell you what they want. What you lose could be more important then what you gain."

I watched her put her phone away as she sent the email, and then we hooked arms and took the lift down. "I'm not sure you'd like it." I told her. "It's... heavy, and loud, and often times the music can discuss sensitive topics." Topics of which I know Larissa has expressed disapproval of before. "As for Heather? ... She's one of my ex's." I said, the growl returning. "Abused me for my money, and also happens to be an Olympic gold medalist figure skater. As if her ego wasn't big enough!"

We headed in the direction of the sleigh ride, and we stopped by the perfume shop. My nose was assaulted by all different scents as I stepped inside, but thankfully I can sort them all out well enough. I immediately headed for the male cologne section, sniffing sample bottles as I looked for something in particular...

Larissa cringed and leaned away from Midnight's growl. It was pretty scary when they got angry, even if it wasn't directed at her. But she had to agree with her words. "Okay, but how do we do that?" she asked. "The school has a lot of students. And...you don't think we should kill whoever's doing the summons do you? I mean, I really hate killing, even though I was trying to kill all the demons at our wedding. It just makes me feel...bad. I can understand if you do want to kill them though. Revenge and all. I just don't know if that's the best thing to do"

She looked at Midnight "Okay. Well, most of us trying to help save you did" she admitted calmly. She cocked her head slightly at Midnight's words and then looked thoughtful as she bit her lip and hummed "Hmmm. But, I...that's a tough scenario. If it was something that only affected me, though, I could live with that. I'd have to at least try to bring you back. I mean, Mia made a pact with the sun god and she's doing okay. I'd be sure to do my research on all the different gods before I make any firm decisions. Aren't you touched that I love you so much, I want to bring you back if you die?"

She frowned slightly at the description of the rock concert. "Well, I have to go to at least one rock concert to try it out. Make an informed decision. It could be fun too. I do enjoy some rock music. I'll leave Poff back in the hotel room or something; her ears are more sensitive than mine" She looked surprised at learning who Heather was. And she frowned properly this time with displeasure as Midnight growled. "Whoa. That's awful. I really hope she stays away from us. You can always flash your wedding band at her too" she said. "I'm sorry you went through that. I know we have our disagreements and fights but I've never wanted to use you like that" she admitted. "I bet Heather is only an Olympic medalist because she bullied her way to the top and trampled on other people to get there! When someone is that mean, they don't care about anyone but themselves"

They were at the perfume shop. There was a mingled soft scent of different perfumes in the air from customers trying them out before buying. There were those little cardboard slips of paper you could spray them onto, and they had coffee beans to clear your senses before sniffing different fragrances.

Larissa didn't think it was too odd for Midnight to head to the mens' cologne section. They were pretty much qualified to wear anything they wanted. Larissa drifted to a Katy Perry bottle that was pink and cat shaped with diamante eyes and a metallic collar. She tested it out and squeaked softly in pleasure at the sweet, lovely frangrance. "I'm gonna buy this one!" she decided aloud. "After all, if you can't splurge on a honeymoon, when can you?" She took a packaged box of the stuff and went to the counter to pay.

Poff wrinkled her nose "It's very smelly in here. My nose is getting confused" the cat complained. "But good choice. That one smells pretty nice"
